Well guys here we go!
Yesterday we went to the interview at Newark Local Office, our appointment was at 10:30 am. Me, my husband, my older daughter and my little one came around 10:00 o'clock.  We passed thru all security point, went to the 14th floor, It was crowded.  I gave the appt letter to the receptionist and he said  wait until an officer calling you. I don't remember how much time we wait, finally a man called me, we went to his office, we did an oath, and showed our ID and passports and my little one's birth certificate  .
He asked a lot of question:
How we met, when, where, who introduced us, when we got married,which kind civil or religious, If we did a party and what place, how many guests, and whom they were, where was our honey moon, how many days, he kept a few pictures of our wedding  (I felt in the first interview at Embassy)
He asked if we live together, we have a joint bank account, file joint taxes, how many trips we did since I got my CR, and where, health, car and life insurance... He never looked into the documents and pictures we filed with I-751 form
The interviewer kept our last christmas card, and last bank statements.
He said in three weeks we'll receive a letter with the decision. I hope it doesn't take much longer...





 

Finally, I got the interview appointment! after many calls USCIS and speak with Tier 2.

Hi All, 

 

 

We're still waiting for my I-751 to be approved and my extension letter expires January 28th (timeline below with delay details). It's getting ridiculous  ClockWatch2.gif  we don't even know what the hold up is. Is anyone else still waiting ??

 

We've contacted our congressman and his office said they contacted USCIS (this was in early December) and all they said was 'It's assigned to someone who will be looking at it soon"...really? is that all we can get. What next, what other options do we have? I'm starting a new job on February 25th and they're asking me for valid verifications of my permanent residency, but my extension letter expires January 28th. What do I need to do in the interim, if I still don't have my new green card by then?

 

Can anyone with similar experience please advise us sad.png  Im really frustrated and it would be so disappointing if I lose this job over something beyond my control. 


Call USCIS asap! and ask for a tier 2, explain you case and put a service request. They helped me, now I'm waiting for an interview on January 27. During all process I called USCIS over and over because my file was delayed.

Hi, Guys
I got an RFE for my daughter's application o 07/27. USCIS sent my a copy of the form, my husband must to sign it. We did not the first time because I talked with customer services line and they said the only sign it requiered was my daughter, she was 19 in that moment.
Today I am going to send back the paper.

When you have a pending case with USCIS, beside submitting AR-11 like usual, you have to do another step to change your address for your case. This step will be followed after you submit AR-11 online or you can call USCIS at 800-375-5283 and choose the option to change address and talk with a representative. If you don't do this step and don't forward your new address with USPS, you're screwed if you can't check the old mailbox. If you forwarded with USPS, it may take 2-3 weeks late for you to receive mails. You only need to do this step if you have a pending case, if not just need to submit AR-11.

 

first I changed my address with USPS, all our mail was delivered in my new one, even when we filled our packet at USCIS, we put our old and current address, before that, we filled AR-11, and we received our extention letter and bio appt. in our new one. USCIS already changed in the system our address; in the website it said my address was changed on March 5, that day was the bio appt. for my daughter. So I don't understand why said again it was changed.

I don't know if I feel happy or notcrying.gif cray5ol.gif . I was reading my email and saw an USCIS's email. I felt happiest, but when I was reading, it said that they updated my adress (in my daughter's file and mine)headbonk.gif  . How is it possible?ranting33va.gif , I had done the AR-11 before I sent my package on February??
On one way, I think they are working in our case. I prefer think that.
What do you think?

Thanks God I done the biometric today. I was early at the ASC, the receptionist checked my docs but she asked me for my marriage cert (I didn't bring with me), because I changed my maiden name by the married name, and they needed confirm it.
fortunately I live close and I could to bring it back.
Now, I hope my process run faster.

Hi My attorney have submitted my i 751 on 6/19/2013 but have not received anything yet. How can I find if they received my case or not. Also my attorney told me that it takes 2 wks to receive any thing from them.please advice me coz I am worried. Thanks

 

Did you send personal checks or money order? because if you sent PCs you can track it your bank; or track your packet with Fedex or USPS.

 

On the date you sent your packet, around 2 or 3 days USCIS takes like a date to start your process. Then they send the extension letter, I think it takes around 1 week. Maybe 2 weeks or more to send the appointment for biometrics.

Omg. I feel so bad and i hope this error doesn't affect the recipient too much. I will call uscis first thing in the morning and do whatever is in my power to ensure this person receives this letter. They might just have me return the envelope to the post office, who knows.  I hope you receive yours soon too. Have you called the service center?

 

Of course I have called many times. The last time was early June, they sent me a letter informing that I need to wait 60-90 more days to receive my appt.

I am going to wait to September, if in that month I haven't received anything, then I am writing to my congressman.

Guys, something weird happened. In addition to my approval letter, there was uscis correspondence addressed to someone else (with my address on it), in my mailbox. I will obviously not open that envelope. Has this happened to any one of you? I am going to call uscis tomorrow and let them know. What else is there to do? 

 

 

On that way they lose our correspondence, and they make us suffer with their delays in our process.

A few days ago I called to USCIS again about my appt biometriccray5ol.gif , at that time I wanted to talk with an IO level 2, I explained one more time my problem, and he was very friendly and helpful, and told me that he will put a new request about my case. I check my mailbox today and found a USCIS letter.
 
It says: "Our records indicate that we are in the process of scheduling your ASC appt associated with this case. 
Your case is currently in suspense until you complete this process. You should receive a copy of the appt  notice within 60-90 days..."
 
Well, for now I am not going to worry until that date.ClockWatch2.gif 
 
Good luck for those are waiting approval.

I just received a text from USCIS saying that my status has been updated. I signed-in to my account and it says: "On May 30, 2013, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."

 

We're so excited!

 

Is May 30 the "Approved" date to update the list?

I'm waiting and waiting...Almost 4 months and I don't  have heard anything about my bio appt. I'm thinking to call USCIS again, and if they don't have any info about my appt, I'll do an infopass.

Hola, En mi caso, la entrevista es el miercoles 16, llame al doctor y programo la cita en lunes 14 en la tarde y en el laboratorio los examenes ese mismo dia en la mañana, alli me indicaron que estarian a tiempo los resultados para la revision con el doctor, asi que estare 4 dias en Bogota, pues debo estar a tiempo el lunes y no hay vuelos que me permitan llegar temprano en el laboratorio, El dinero que me sugirieron llevar es: $542.000 aprox. ($143.000 examen medico, $129.000 examenes de lab. y $270.000 para vacunas, lo cual me han dicho que siempre te colocan una o varias dependiendo de tu record de vacunas) y no se te olvide llevar el dinero para el envio del pasaporte por DOMESA.

You need a passport for you stepdaughter. I got a passport for my daughter (17 years old) when my husband (boyfriend in that moment heheheh!) asked me if I want to get married with him. My married was 1 month later and he brought all documents (Copy of birthday certificate, copy of passport, photos, ect.), I don't know if all the documents attached to the form I-130.

Anyway you need a passport for her.

I think you need tell her that you already paid for those, and that email and other new thing in your process she must to do it. because you hired and paid for that, and not only for fill forms.

 

On the other hand you or your father can  call NVC if you have all info about your case. I think they have people who speak your mother language.

Take copies of every form you submitted to this point. Also, bring tax forms and original w-2's as I (and some others) was asked to provide them even though they were submitted at the NVC stage (w-2s were copies). Bring original documents or certified copies with you regardless if you have submitted them previously. Take your proof of relationship. When you first go into the embassy they will have you place all the documents in a folder and will return most of them a few minutes later. Read the embassy reviews for Bogota and it should help you tremendously. Good luck.

Te recomiendo que tu prometido prepare sus registros de vacunacion, en caso de no tenerlos puede ir a su EPS y solicitar que le pongan los refuerzos que necesite, incluso le pueden colocar la de la fiebre amarilla, esa es gratis.

Yo hice mi cita con el dr. Roa me parecio bien y no fue tan costoso como pensaba. Recuerda que antes de ir al dr debe realizarse los examenes de laboratorio y rayos X.

Thank you all for your responses! From looking at your comments and doctor reviews (which I didn't realize were on this website until yesterday), my fiancé is going to Dr. Dennis and is going to get all the vaccinations he needs there.


Remember is important that he gets the vaccine to fiebre amarrilla, it is free. If your fiancee has EPS can go with them and put reinforcement of all basic vaccines according to age, however when he goes to the doctor put other vaccines
