K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresClarify use of I-824
I wanted to say, this is an awesome website, I wish I had found it before starting my journey, but never the less, it helps me trudge through the uncertainty of "am I doing this right?"

I actually wanted some clarification of this I-824 form I have seen a few people post about but have not found an answer anywhere on this site. What is it for? Who needs to file it? The USCIS website say's it is used for duplicating an approval notice to be sent to a US consulate. Why would this need to be done when there is an original already in place?

Thanks in advance.

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresAdvice, abandon k-3 or not?
Hello everyone,

My wife and I have been approved for our I-130 petition. We were approved on 1/3/07, but have yet to see any other correspondance from the NVC, only the NOA2. Ironically, the National Benefits Center has posted the "processing" date as the same date as ours was received. So, at least they are finally working on it.

I know this is the waiting game now to see what comes first, and from who. But, any advice on abandoning the K-3 and going CR-1/IR-1?

Also, I have not been able to locate the difference between the CR-1 and the IR-1. Which one does what?

Thanks,

Mark

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresCR-1 Physical and interview
QUOTE (theresaandali @ Feb 9 2008, 01:47 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
luv.gif FINALLY my husband and I heard about his interview... it's scheduled for March 18 in Casablanca, Morocco. What can we anticipate? What expenses should he expect? If all goes well, will he be granted his Visa that day?

Also, anyone have any suggestions for his physical? He's healthy, takes no meds... He has his vaccination record but it's hard to read, not sure exactly what's on there. Should he go ahead and get as many vaccisnations as he can before the physical, and bring the recorded proof? OR should he wait until the physical? How much will the physical cost?

ANY help is much appreciated! smile.gif

My wifes physical was in Peru, I think we paid 85-90 US dollars for the physical. Since my wife did not have a vaccination record, we had to pay more for the vaccines, i'm thinking this was about 45 US dollars. I would take the vaccination record to the physical and then you can get the other's if needed there.

All of the US Embassies operate differently, we got our Visa two days after the interview at a DHL office in Lima, some Embassies issue them that day, others not.

Good Luck!
