Here we go... a little embarrassed...

Back in July, 1995, I was staying with a friend, and the ex-wife barged in. I was the one to call 911, and while defending myself, I scratched her as she proceeded to scratch, kick, and attack me out of outrage. We both ended up in jail for the night, because we both had marks.

Now it is on my record as a felony, and I'm worried about the I29F application.

I need some professional writers for me, or a good way to write this.

oh gosh, we got the same notification when we checked on our status online on the same date, too. we haven't gotten their letter yet 'though that they mailed to us. hopefully it's nothing to really worry about. the team here sent us a message telling us that sometimes what uscis ask for additional evidence were already submitted to them. might be they just had overlooked it when they flip through to our packets. i hope this is the case to us. well good luck to us! I communicate with my fiancee by purchasing a prepaid calling card and calling her mobile phone. How do I keep records of this communication as proof of our on-going relationship??. please help.

save the calling cards that you had purchased. you can tape them on a bond and make a photocopy. spare some time to talk to her either on yahoo, skype, live, etc. and print the conversations that you have had. print your current emails. the dates indicated will tell that your relationship is still ongoing.

The 11th question in Form I-134 indicates that a petitioner has to choose whether he intends or does not intend to make specific contributions to the support of the person(s) named in item 3 (the person being petitioned). (If you check "intend", indicate the exact nature and duration of the contributions. For example, if you intend to furnish and board, state for how long and, if money, state the amount in the U.S. dollars and whether it is to be given in a lump sum, weekly or monthly, and for how long. )

My fiance and I aren't sure of what to choose between intend or not intend to make specific contributions to the support of the person being petitioned. Any help is much appreciated. innocent.gif Thank you in advance!

The Appointment Letter is the one emailed to you by the USEM. They will email it to you when you've called them for your interview schedule. You'll just print it out and have 2 copies: one for the medical exam, and the other for the interview. You should bring the 2 letters from USEM to St. Lukes otherwise, you wouldn't be allowed to get inside for your med exam.

Good luck! God bless you... innocent.gif

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionDid anyone ever FAIL a medical exam?
QUOTE (NeedHelp! @ Apr 8 2009, 07:50 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hi, curious as to the procedure if you fail a medical exam for any reason. Mainly, do they let you know the problem when you go to get your results or do they just give you sealed results, tell you nothing, and you find out at the interview? Would be interested in hearing any info on this experience...
p.s. please forgive my lack of person info, just want to remain anon for a time. Appreciate your understanding.
J.

They will make you aware should there be any health problems. During my medical exam, I over heard the medical attendant talking to the other applicant. The latter was advised to recuperate for she's having a lung problem and she was given a 2-month ample time. The attendant further told her that the interview will be canceled for the moment and will just rescheduled if the lung was cleared.

I hope this info helps.

PhilippinesCalling all approved Filipinas! Your Transition... Foods
Well, as you all know my fiancee was approved recently, and she will be coming to the States soon.

I am assuming that a transition between the Philippines and the United States took a little getting used to.

I know that the food will be different, because when I was there I was introduced to a lot of new food in the Philippines.

I want to make it easy for her, and want to have some foods here that she is used too prior to her arrival, before we will have a chance to do some grocery shopping.

I keep asking her, but she says it will be OK... I guess it will more of a surprise than anything.

So the question is... What foods would you have liked in the U.S. upon your arrival. Let's say for your first week in the United States.

Yes I know: Rice & Fruits

Thanks ladies!

PhilippinesIs there A visa type w/no interview?
Assure her nothing to much worry about as long as your docs are complete. They just ask basic questions. Applying for a job is even harder. lol. But it's just pretty normal to feel worry and tense about the interview. It gave me chill even weeks before my sched; but I was amazed on how easy and smooth it turned out. Goodluck!

(we will be living in guam) but as soon as i complete my residency there, we are planning to get jobs in the mainland wherever.. hopefully so we cud be with our families, getting there in a much cheaper and easier way.. smile.gif il appreciate all ideas and advises.. thank you!!

As long as you have the visa then there'll be no problem touring anywhere around the US. You can even have your POE in any state according to your choice.

To all na sumagot:

Salamat ha! I appreciate your answers. Their marriage was doomed even before it started. Alam ko na action speaks louder than words pero sa mundo ngayon e kailangan diba smart ka din. Ewan ko sa kanya... she is helpless because she doesn't want to help herself. Tinanong ko nga siya bat siya nag asawa ng american kung di naman siya masyado marunong mag english.. so sabi niya love niya.. blah blah blah... so ako i suggested ok.. bili ka ng dictionary at mag aral ka. Pero di naman niya ginawa. She spent almost a year in Texas at ganon pa din ang english niya.

Before, nasa states na siya ako nasa Pinas pa she would talk to me online. Sometimes she speaks bisaya which i cant understand. She said they always argue because her husband is alcoholic. He drinks always after work. He talks to a different girl online, He talks to his ex-wife about her being so dumb and that she is just his servant...(they have a kid husband and ex-wife) She sent me the conversations. So ako e nagulat nalang.

US citizen so annulment nalang daw. Sabi ng asawa tutulungan daw siya sa annulment kung magpropromise siya na wala siyang makukuha na kahit ano. (thats what she told me last night)

I spoke with her husband before and told me how he couldn't stand her kasi nga she is not trying to communicate with him, always argue with him and accusing him a lot of things. Tapos pag nag eexplain daw siya e di naman naiintindihan so he just gave up.

I think they chatted for a year and he visited her in Mindanao... first visit and they got married right away. So, kasalanan nila pareho pero ang tanong ko lang kung pano sila makakapagdivorce? pwede ba yung sinabi ng asawa na "sige tutulungan kita pero walang kang makukuha na kahit ano sa akin" parang di tama lang.

Hindi pwedeng wala siyang makuhang "kahit ano" kapag na-grant and divorce nila. Yung kasamahan ko sa work siya ang nag-divorce sa Pinoy husband niya kasi nga pinakasalan lang siya para ma-petition niya mga magulang niya na nasa Pinas. Noong nakarating na sila dito, her husband started to act indifferent towards her which she hated. She doesn't hang out with losers like him daw. Kaya hayun nag-divorce sila and she got half of everything her husband owns. O di ba ang saya niya? She got half the value of the house, alimony which her ex cannot do everything but to give in kasi nga nakalagay sa batas nila.

Kawawa naman yung friend mo for having a husband which is a loser. Dapat hindi muna siya bumalik sa Pinas para dito na lang sila mag-divorce para naman makuha niya yung dapat sa kanya.

well-said! good.gif
i agree with you. the girl shouldn't have gone back dito sa PI. but most probably, she felt there's nothing else she could do and no one else she could be with there aside sa hubby nya, kasi nga she's having a hard time communicating. but anyway, at least she'll get something from the ex-hubby after the divorce. sana she'll hire nalang an English tutor.

Can someone explain the need to arrive any more than about half an hour before your appointment? What's the advantage of waiting longer?? wacko.gif

Nothing. All applicants would be led to the waiting area unless if the time schedule is called. When your time is called, that's the time all the applicants would go in line. It is how fast you are to go to the line that will give you the advantage.
Kevin & MariaMalePhilippines2009-04-24 14:00:00
PhilippinesWhat is the best time to arrive for 7am interview at the US Embassy?
If you could visit the Embassy the day before and asked the guards for a possible time to be there, then that would be better. I stayed at Miramar Hotel which was just right across the waiting area for applicants, so I did the inquiry the night before. Both guards suggested I'd show up at 5:45 to 6 since my sched was at 7am. However, I went there as early as a little past 5, but was called at almost 7. When your time is called, be quick in going to the line. It doesn't matter what time you got there, but what matters is how fast you are to be there in the line.

Tip for you: be sure to fill your tummy before running off to the embassy... and tons of PRAYERS! (also prepare for your ID. the guard will ask for it.)

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresHow do you maintain your Long Distance Relationship?
I just want to share on how Kevin and me work on our relationship, keep it exciting, and fun. Communication is one of the keys. Having God as the center in our lives, faith, prayers, and positive outlooks really played vital roles to us; and have helped us strengthen our love and devotion.

Well this is what we are everyday:

When I wake up, and after praying, I call him to say good morning to him (he installed a VOIP phone in my PC when he was here, so it's free for me to call anywhere in the US and anytime at no cost at all, and vice-versa). So he's the first person I hear in the mornings. Since I don't work, and per his request that I don't to have time to be with him, so I get all the time to talk to him either on Yahoo, Skype, Live, you name it. We make sure we're always on web cams, too.

The moment he gets home from work, he buzzes me right away, and we'll turn on our speakers and cams. Sometimes he brings his laptop at the kitchen and sees him cook (sometimes I teach him how to cook. Since I eat rice a lot, he's gotten a rice cooker, too!), eat, wash the dishes, etc. We even do exercises together, me in my room, and him at his room with our cams on for us to see and either of us can tune in to our workout music. We also watch movies/ tv together. He puts his cam on the tv/ monitor screen with the high volume for me to hear. Whatever he does, shower, bathing, etc. I get to see him. I know this sounds too cheesy but I'm truly amazed with this. It makes me feel so much a part of his life and that I was just around him.

When he's sleeping, his cam is still turns on and I get to see him in bed and even hears his snore. Before he sleeps, we pray to thank God for everything and ask help from him to always strengthen our love, our relationship and for my visa, etc. I wake him up at 5:30-6am for him to prepare to work. We only logs out when he goes to work. On his day offs, he gets to see me sleep, too.

I get to talk to his kids, friends, and his family especially his mom, and vice-versa. They all know me, and my family, friends, relatives here know him, too.

Aside from talking and seeing each other online, we also write sweet emails to each other, send e-cards, send letters, cards/ stuffs via airmail, send latest pictures every now and then, and Kevin sends me flowers with or without occasions. We play games online, sing karaoke together online (there were even times that I sing a karaoke in our living room, and he sees me through my cam, and hears me through the speakers), share jokes, laugh a lot, and even cry, share problems and help each other, so we're there for each other through thick and thin. While he's at work, he texts me sometimes, or calls me. I do the same when I'm away from the pc. It's truly amazing on how we're able to have this kind of relationship. We're totally one!

Well, I am basically jealous and insecure, and same thing with him, but I haven't felt that anymore with him because I feel like I know his every move and whereabouts, and he is to me as well. We surprise each other even with simple ways, and we always make sure we fix petty quarrels (we seldom do because there's no reason to be) right away. We are so like-minded and we always jive on almost everything. You really need to trust each other; you really just have to.

Well that's it! smile.gif I hope things will be ok with you and your honey soon!

God bless you. good.gif

While he was here for a 3-week visit, he installed VOIP so we just can call each other anytime we want at no cost at my end. Every morning, upon getting up, I'd call him to greet him a good morning. At least, he's the first person I got to hear/ talk in my mornings. We also use mics and voice chat either on yahoo, skype, and gmail but more on yahoo.

When he arrives home from work, he'll call and buzz me, since my yahoo is already up in time for him. There were times that he'd bring his laptop to the kitchen and I'd instruct him on how to cook a certain food. He started cooking filipino foods since after a month we met so that's really cool. We also do exercises together, watch movies/ tv shows, do karaoke, play online, watch each other eat, etc. We do these with cams and mics. When he sleeps, I watch him sleep and wakes him up in his mornings. So I am the first one he gets to see/ hear/ talk in his mornings. He'll do the same to me on his day offs. I stop from working to be able to do these things with him, as per his request also. If we were both away from home, we'd call/ text each other as much time permits. We also email each other regularly and send love notes and keep sending each other pictures.

I think we had done things like regular couples do; kicking.gif the only difference is that we're physically absent. However, with the help of God, I'll be with him soon!!! good.gif And that just make things prefect!

Good luck to our journey with our loved ones! God bless us!
