But I'm sure you'll have your NOA 2 coming soon, it's probably on the desk of some lame a** officer. At least you know they still have it in their system. You'll be good with your March wedding date, Noa 2 will come in December as a christmas present. And of course I'll help you, but I think you're pretty well prepared by yourself right now, aren't you? By now Dan already brought the affidavit of support from him and our co-sponsor with him when he was here. I wish I had your timeline. Everything would have worked out just perfectly. Oh well, hard to imagine that sending things in with a difference of 2 days can make a 2 months difference in timelines. Maybe we can meet up one days when we are in the US?! You will be in Washington D.C. if I remember correctly? I hope we will move there in a few years, too! Of course I'll help you with the forms and preparing stuff for the interview then I'm glad your fiance was here for a few weeks, it made it a little easier for you huh? Darnell only stayed for a week but he brought me the affidavit and stuff as well, so I have everything here now, too. When I was still waiting I was already freaking out and having mood swings and all that, but I really can't imagine how you feel right now. Nobody deserves that. Just remember that after you've finished that you don't have to deal with them again and by the time you're doing the AOS you're already with your sweetheart which makes the whole situation much easier. I send you some more strength for this and a giantic hug Yea, I'll be in Washington D.C. and or surroundings, we're not entirely sure yet and we won't get an apartment before I get my EAD and got a job. Congrats to Crazy & Mad and BubbleTea I never read about anybody receiving the NVC letter BEFORE the NOA 2, that is really crazy!!! At least you're time in the waiting room is almost over now. To the Pack 3/4 discussion: I received my Pack 3 two weeks ago and it was only a letter saying I should go to that website, download the forms and follow the instructions given there. I didn't mind doing it since I already had the forms prepared. I'm happy to hear some of ya'll got approvals and interviews done, congratulations. But what's up with those processing times posted on the USCIS website? Last Updated July 31st ??? Since the updates come monthly, does that mean there will be another one this week? And what REALLY surprises me are the September filers that already got NOA 2. I have been waiting for so long now, we actually wanted to file last November (!), but there was always something, so it's been almost a year now I thought we might be done by the end of the month, but it doesn't look like that. I'm not sure if I should get my police record and the passport pics done now, the report is only valid for six month, and I'm kinda worried we could get a RFE or whatever. Did you do anything yet? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	June 2008 Filers!	Hey everybody. I just found this thread, I'm a June Filer, too, that's why I wanted to say hi and whatnot lol. So, we first sent our I-129F on June 13th with USPS to the VSC, delivered on the 16th, but came back one the 23rd becuz hubby put the right amount of money IN NUMBERS on the check but not in written I was freaking out becuz we have been talking about filing ever since last November, and now we finally did it, everything came back to us. He eventually sent the petition with a new corrected check back the same day and it was received on the 25th. Noa 1 came one day later on the 26th, the check was cashed on July 1st, hardcopy of Noa 1 came to him on July 3rd. We were touched on July 10th and 11th so far, and now it's just waiting I guess. I understand that these visits back and forth are frustrating, been there myself, and after a time you're looking for a permanent solution for it. I agree with other people on this forum that you shouldn't do the VWP-AOS thing, it is illegal and although people get away with it, it's so unfair to all the loving couples that are going the legal "longer" way. Even if she wouldn't know, you have the intention to propose, which makes the whole thing illegal again. Is there any way you could go to live with her for a while? That would maybe another alternative to look into. Or live together in another country? Just throwing some ideas out there. In the end you have to decide whatever you think is best for both of you. If she has binding ties from her country, for example employment letter/contract, cell phone contract, apartment lease etc., she might be granted entry. A ticket for a return flight wouldn't be bad either. But in the end it's in the hands of the officer. Her nationality makes no difference in this process.
