Well maybe I'll get lucky then! And nope, no close relatives in Virginia to help me out.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsNOA2 Received electronically, but address changed for hard copy!

Ah I wish I could. I moved from Virginia to Texas. So crazy that the approval was sent within 24 hours of giving an updated address. I didn't want to submit it sooner in case I was around Virginia longer. My move was a bit last minute for my job.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsNOA2 Received electronically, but address changed for hard copy!

I called USCIS today to inquire. They told me they couldn't release the address that it was sent to, so no help there. They basically just told me that if I haven't received it in 30 days, that's when I can call back. I would imagine if it didn't go to a valid address, it will be returned to them, and it's my understanding they annotate that either on their website or via an e-mail. Then you call back and re-request it. It shouldn't slow the process down any, as everything else can be gathered for the interview and all of the following steps with NVC and the embassy.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsNOA2 Received electronically, but address changed for hard copy!

Hello all,

Just checked the USCIS website now that everything is back up and running. I see that my case is in post decision and approved as of July 24th, so couldn't be happier about that (March filer).  However, the day prior, I had to relocate for my job. I changed my address to have all mail forwarded, and used the online form to change my address through USCIS. I obviously doubt the needed change was made in time at USCIS. Will the NOA2 be forwarded like I'm hoping?? It's my understanding that it's necessary to have this included with my fiancee's packet once she begins the process with her embassy. Thanks..

Craig

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsCase labeled approved, post decision July 24th, but back to initial review on July 30th?!?!

Well was on the phone with a couple of different people for this. What it came down to is most likely the address change was applied shortly after the change of status to approved. So whoever noted the address change was simply unaware that this was past the initial review step. I was told to still look in the mail for the NOA2, so I'm content with that!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsCase labeled approved, post decision July 24th, but back to initial review on July 30th?!?!

So I checked my case two days ago on the USCIS website, and it said that my case was in the post decision step and approved. However, I changed my address around the same time, hoping that I would be able to get the NOA 2 sent to my current address. I checked the same receipt number on USCIS today, and it shows that as of July 30th, the address change was applied, and it shows the case back in initial review! Is this just a typo that someone overlooked after doing the change of address? I'm just hoping I didn't get false information for some reason and am still pending my NOA2.....

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports1-129f approved. Waiting for case number

Got my NOA2 July 24th. Haven't called NVC as it's been just over a week. I'll be calling shortly. Was just curious what information is needed to find the case #? What do they ask for during the phone call?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWedding Requirements

Thanks everyone, I thought that was the case. We considered getting married in Canada and taking the visa route for a spouse, but I've been told that's often a longer, more difficult process. It's no problem, we'll be getting married here within the 90 days then. I appreciate the responses.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWedding Requirements

Hello,

Fairly new to VJ, and still a long way to go before NOA2 hits. Sent my application in at the beginning of March. My questions is regarding planning the wedding. My fiance is from Canada, and her family is much larger than mine. When we finally receive approval and her visa packet, during the 90-day timeframe, does the wedding have to be in the United States? Or could we wed in Canada, and then give the documentation of that to continue on with making her a citizen?

Thanks for the help!
