Middle East and North AfricaNVC-Interview timelines?

Hi there, based on your timeline your I-130 will be adjudicated starting on 1st week of June. Mine get approved after 156 days. I know soon yours will be approved too. Don't stress yourself too much. In time, you will be with him again. Me and my husband has been far away for 8months now. :)

Rogelyn,

Thanks for the input and support. I haven't seen my sweety since October 31, 2011 so not as long as you and it is hard, but I am getting excited and nervous when I realize just how close we are or might be!

Hugs,

Tamz

Middle East and North AfricaNVC-Interview timelines?
Hi,

I just wanted to know what your wait time was from when you got approval and sent package off to NVC, NVC to Embassy, and interview. I am starting to get nervous because our 5 months waiting is almost up for the California center and so hoping will get NOA2 soon insha'Allah.

If you don't mind sharing your waiting period I just need some time frame. I am missing Mohammad so much this past week I am ready jump on first plane back to Amman. haha

Middle East and North AfricaWE GOT APPROVED ALHUMDOLLAH!!! what next?

Firstly, Congrats,  Secondly, which was approved?? the K3?, or the CR-1? Mostly they are apporved at same time, both then sent to the NVC, the K3 most of the time dies there, AND OR is put in AP hell there, and that is the BEST time to follow the CR1. The CR-1 is sent to the NVC same time as the K3, FOLLOW the CR-1. After you completed the NVC stage IF you follow the CR-1 which I stronly recommend, (the K3 is not worth it, cost lot's more once he is here, you have to Adjust his status before he can work, drive or even get a S.S. card, so consider it carefully.) The CR1 will only take as long as it takes to get through the NVC, so its much worth maybe 30 extra days. Trust me!!!
Best wishes on your journey......

Hi,

Thanks for the input. But what is the CR1? I am not familiar with that, but would love to know more if you can explain it.

Thanks,

Tamz

Middle East and North AfricaI864 frustration!!
Hi,

I am working on our I864 and since my son still lives at home and he was willing to let us count his salary. I am just 1000 short shy of the required 4 family limit.

Any suggestions on how to present it to someone when asking to cosponser? Any advice and good thoughts sent our way would be awesome.

Hugs,

Tamz

Middle East and North AfricaQuestion on I864 when cosponsor is military
Hi,

Has anyone used a cosponsor that is in the military? A friend is willing to be my cosponsor but we noticed the poverty guidelines are different for me and him as military? Will this be a problem?

Thanks a bunch!

Middle East and North AfricaCurly Haired Products

My mom bought my husband and my daughter some Lush Curly Wurly. It has big pieces of coconut in it, and made their curls look super springy and soft. It's a bit much for every day use though, so I use it on them like a treatment every now and then. For everyday, their curls look nice with Shea Moisture Curl and Shine. It's at Target.

Sandinista, how far from Portland area are you?

Middle East and North AfricaCurly Haired Products

Why?
Natural Curly hair is beautiful!!!

This company was created by a locel man here in North County San Diego and we love ENJOY products!!

My daughter has naturally curly hair so thanks for the heads up on products..always looking for something good.

well I haven't heard of that but I use John Frieda products that at least tame the fly away hair and hair doesn't turn into frizz.

Middle East and North AfricaHow have your children been with new hubby/fiancee?

Amen, Mithra. This is one of my biggest concerns around here, too. So many women left their kids for months and even years to go be with their man. That's some serious bullsh!t. Even the one lady who wanted to do a parenting co-op so that her VJ friends could watch her kids and vice versa. If you have to resort to strangers watching your kids, an international, multi-continent love affair might not be the best idea at the time.

However, that truly doesn't have anything to do with how foreign spouses will adjust to step children.

That is so sad when the children are left and forgotten don't people forget we are going to be accountable to how we treat these precious gifts. My youngest is 15 and goes to boarding school so it's easier for me to travel at times then others. Ya Rabb my heart goes out to those kiddos.

"I sure hope the web cams arent in a cyber cafe..yikes"

Ah Yeah. No Thankfully both my husband and I can separately afford our own laptops.

BTW....OP if you dont mind sharing...how did a woman from McMinnville, Oregon meet a Jordanian?

This world is so amazing now a days.

I hope this is not too far off topic...because She did have a good thought to post.

Inluvnwaiting, what is OP? I guess you referring to me about McMinnville. lol I actually call it Bubbaville but VJ wouldn't let me post that. Like most of us on here I met DH online, but I have been to Jordan prior to meeting him and have several family, social, and business ties there so it all has been very easy for me to adjust and even have him checked out before I got there. lol Alhumdollah for everything!

 WOW this is exactly what I worried would happen. I was really enjoying everyone's discussion and the positive flow. It really does only take one rotten apple to ruin the basket. Allah Kareem.

From what I can tell and to those I have personally have talked to; you all seem to be a well rounded caring, sensitive, and loving mothers. I truly have appreciated your positive stories and experience; even though mine
are mostly older I want this to be a loving and positive experience in our lives. insha'Allah khair.

Middle East and North AfricaHow have your children been with new hubby/fiancee?
I am sorry I was hoping someone wouldn't reply to this string, simply because i wanted to hear others stories that were good or bad, but without throwing anyone under the bus.

My situation is a little different in that my husband is in his forties like me, divorced, but for what ever reason didn't have children while he was married. I don't expect him to be a DADDY to my children, but he also realizes he will be playing an important role in their lives. My youngest is 15 and all my childnre are at an age they need a good mentor, friend, and example. On thing I love about my husbabd is his dean, he himself admitted he will be held accoutable before Allah on how he treats my children. So alhumdollah it is not perfect but someone at least is accepting of their role and responsiblities of our marriage.

As for the rest it was certainly good to hear how things have been going for you and that your partners are treating your children well.

Hugs,

Tamz

Hi,

I am very curious to find out your new marriage or engagement has worked out with your children?
This could be during the visa process, but more curious about after your partner was here how everything went.

So far in mine all my kids are doing okay with relationship even though we are in the waiting stages.

Thanks for your input!

Middle East and North AfricaEngagement parties? Input please!
 okay i would do it!!! we had a very small wedding party because his family was still in mourning due to a death in the family and it was second marriage for us both!

now back to your situation just do it!! especially if his mom move's from there. it can be in moderation have one for family in morrocco and a second when he comes to the states. you can never repeat this time again so do it for yourselves celebrate your love and future lives together insha'Allah

It is not a fun situation to be in when you are apart from your loved one. I think a week visit would do you good and wouldn't hurt your process. Just do what you think is best in the end. HUGS!!!

Wow things are sure hopping for us Alhumdollah. I realise everyone has their approach to handling things, but a wise person told me to wait a few weeks to call NVC to see if we had a number since Mohammads application had just been approved and moved 5/29. Well I got busy with real life and and just remembered to call today. They had just processed his number earlier in the day before I called. Needless to say I am doing my funky chicken dance and feeling grateful

Middle East and North AfricaWhat was it like to see him for the first time?
What wonderful and precious stories. I don't know if mine is near as eventful. I flew to Amman on work related trip and Mohammad agreed to meet me at the airport and take me to where I was staying in Amman. The flight was on time and immigration went fast for me until they lost my luggage!! So after getting help from another gentleman traveler in the same predicament as I was. I walked out the of the security area and looked around. There was my Mohammad waiting for me and greeting me with an "Ahlan Wasahlan" and a quick tug at my hand. It was a precious moment to see that wonderful smile and eyes I could drown in. Alhumdollah.

As for the webcam we had exchanged photos and used the webcam once in a while but only for a few moments because it always managed to freeze up or slow the connection drasticallyon the computers. I have always been so leary of webcams and my very few short experiences with HNG's that I never had made it priority to use one or see theirs.
