In my honest opinion, THIS, is your best option.

Just because you live with someone does not mean you should combine your income and call them a household member.  Generally speaking, a joint sponsor should sign a completed I-864 unless you need to combine incomes to make enough to meet the 125% of the poverty guidelines.  A household member also needs to be correctly included in the petitioner's I-864's household count.

i got you now. Do i still need to sign i-864 form as i dont meet the poverty guidelines as i seek for joint sponsorship. Both i-864 form are need to be sent or only one i-864 that meets poverty guidelines(i.e of my joint sponsor) needs to be sent to nvc.

Your brother in law.... what form did he sign? If you said he was your brother, then you lied, he's not.  To show relationship you'd normally show both long form birth certificates.  For a brother in law,  it would be a wedding certificate, spouse's long form birth certificate, and then brother's long form birth certificate.

I recommend you redo the forms corre

ctly.  If your brother in law is a joint sponsor, they should sign a completed I-864 not I-864a.

National Visa Center (Dept of State)Will my aos will be approved ?

why can;t you qualify if you don;t have any dependents this year? I don;t understand your reasoning. They go by what is current. And as the petitioner, you are always the main sponsor.

If I am understanding you correctly your joint sponsor doesn;t work, and only has $2500 in the bank? If that is the case he doesn't qualify. Your English is very difficult to understand

I am sorry actually this year i have dependents my sister children so i cant sponsor.

* my co-sponsor income doesnt meet requirements with only $500 so he is using his assets.i.e cash. so he needs to have 5 times of $500 which is $2500.

*He got more than $3500 in his bank which is more than requirement i.e 2500.

so in this case plz review once again...plzz its really urgent.....

appreciate you guys..

The timelines he talks about are obviously out of date (5 years old) but it was certainly an interesting read coming from someone who used to process I-129fs.

USCIS Service CentersIf you are waiting on your NOA2... TAKE A LOOK & SIGN!!!

I starterd one yesterday buddy. Look for those instead of starting a new one so we can get more smile.png

The one posted here is the same petition.  Since you created the petition, could you possibly modify it to expanded the explanation a bit to put the focus on the I-129f petition processing times (also I-130).  Also a link to this website might be useful with a summary of the ignorance of USCIS customer service and how petitions are being processed unfairly out of order.  I also agree that it should include spouse visas (I130s).  There is not much the white house can do about the visa processing as those are handled overseas by separate consulates, but they can put pressure on the service centers to expedite the processing of the petitions.

USCIS Service CentersThe Scattered Crew of VSC

I posted the same reply in the length thread about the VSC transfers...

In case there is still any confusion about where our cases were sent, I have this to offer.  Several weeks ago I submitted a request for expedited processing.  Today I received a letter of denial of that request from the Acting Center Director of the VSC.  At the end of the letter, the following information was printed:

"Your petition or application was transferred to Texas Service Center on May 23, 2013."

So I think its safe to say that our cases were indeed transferred to the TSC.

USCIS Service CentersTransferred file from vsc to Texas got touched today!!!!!!

My 2 cents...

Either all should change to TSC or none should.  But having some change it to TSC and most not change it, it just gets messy.

I have no preference either way, but seeing as how the majority of people that have TSC in their timeline, have it there in error ("because they sent their petition to the lockbox in Texas, so therefore it must be TSC"), the statistics for TSC will always be in error.

I agree.  Unfortunately, at this point, its unlikely to get everyone to switch back.  Not all TSC transfers follow this thread or will necessarily read a new thread requesting everyone to change it back.  VJ needs to add an option in the timelines to track transfers.

jdseidelMaleIsrael2013-06-20 13:32:00
USCIS Service CentersTransferred file from vsc to Texas got touched today!!!!!!

Well technically you didn't send your application to Texas right? Receipt number EAC stands for Vermont and wherever they transfer our cases it is their internal thing. Changing now to Texas Service Center will remove a lot of applicant from Vermont and obviously will mess up with statistical data on Vermont timeline.

Imagine you have 10000 applications from DEC, JAN, FEB in VSC and suddenly 8000 DEC and JAN got transferred in TSC. FEB gets approved here and there in VSC - this adds up to statistical data. And if you change SC to Texas it changes timeline cause it collects information from 2000 applications now. But all 10000 applications were filed at Vermont.

Besides TSC is not working with I-129F directly. Therefore it is still VSC.

You are right, changing my service center from VSC to TSC does change the statistical data, but I'd hardly say it messes it up (at least not by that much).  As far as I can tell, VJ computes the following stats by service center:

Avg Time from File Date to NOA1

Avg. Time from NOA1 to NOA2

Avg. Total days to approval

It also gives a rough estimation of the date that each center is currently working on for each type of form.

By switching your service center, the only metric you are "messing" with is the Avg. Time from File Date to NOA1.  Those being processed at TSC should NOT count towards the average time from NOA1 to NOA2 for VSC nor the Avg. Total days to Approval since they are no longer being processed at VSC.  Also by leaving your service center as VSC, this falsely skews the current processing date that is reported for VSC for K-1 visas.

Also, by leaving your SC as VSC, Igors list becomes misleading.  For instance, if you scroll down to the unapproved petition tables, you'll see many more people ahead of you than there are in reality.  IMO, the purpose of the timelines is for users to get an idea of how long it will take from NOA1 to NOA2 (approval).  Switching the service center does mess up one of the stats, but it allows more accurate stats for the most important stat, when can I expect an approval.  In reality, the timeline system on VJ is deficient.  They should add a transfer option to allow people to view time between transfer and NOA2 while not affecting the time between Filing and NOA1.  Since the TSC people really care about when the transfers are getting approved, not those who are still at VSC, the most practical way to do that is to switch the SC to TSC.

USCIS Service CentersTransferred file from vsc to Texas got touched today!!!!!!

Everyone who was transferred to Texas Service Center and changed it in timeline. Please change it back to your ORIGINAL service center - it's messing up with timeline.

EAC***** - it is Vermont Service Center and not Texas.

I've seen a lot of requests for people not to change their timelines, and thought I'd respond.  I know VJ also states not to change the timeline, but I can think of no logical reason why me changing my timeline from VSC to TSC would mess up peoples timelines in Vermont.  I'll preface my response by saying I am a systems engineer by trade and know a thing or two about designing these types of data tracking algorithms. My service center is no longer VSC so my processing timeline has absolutely no effect on those who remain in Vermont.  It doesn't make sense to use my NOA2 date as an indicator for when other VSC approvals might be.  Also, the timelines show the percent of approved applications by month.  Why should my approval count towards a December approval in Vermont? If anything, it artificially inflates the VSC % by month graph and makes the timeline misleading.  If anyone can provide me with a compelling reason to change it back, I will.  But until then, I am going to leave it as TSC.

USCIS Service CentersTransferred file from vsc to Texas got touched today!!!!!!

Jeannie & Al,

I agree that some of these adjudicators are likely working on the ones they are more familiar with first.  But let me also say that I was fully expecting an RFE and didn't get one.  I sent a thumb drive with my petition that had pictures, Facebook Timeline, and other supporting evidence.  This was before I came across VJ.  USCIS returned the thumb drive b/c they only accept papers (even though they scan them and create electronic copies anyway).  So my approval came with the bare minimum of evidence and could have easily warranted a RFE.  I think there is a lot of pressure on all of the service centers to get approvals out, especially with the millions of new cases that will come once the immigration bill passes.

Also, you can always call USCIS and request expedited processing and cite your fathers health.  There are several categories for expedite and you may be able to convince them.  I tried but was denied, but I don't think it hurts or slows down the processing of your case.  I think the director of the service center is responsible for approving/disapproving expedite requests so it shouldn't interfere with the adjudicator working on your case.

USCIS Service CentersTransferred file from vsc to Texas got touched today!!!!!!

I'm new to VJ and to this process but I would have thought they would have divided petitions as they came into the centers and only assigned certain types to certain reps.  If they took only I129Fs and I130s out and transferred a bunch to TSC like mine, wouldn't they have had to do that either when they came out or when they were going to transfer them? Then they would only need to train some staff at TSC on how to process instead of everyone.

I did check a bunch before and after mine as well and most weren't fiance petitions which I was hoping meant it would happen sooner if only the fiance visas were transferred. If they are all intermingled that makes me less hopeful for quicker turnarounds as the newly trained TSC members aren't getting used to doing them with several a day - they may only have one here or there.

ugh this process is so frustrating. sad.png

I don't know for sure if the non-family petitions before and after mine were transferred to TSC, but I was told by my congressman that ~7000 petitions were transferred and they included more than just fiance and spouse visas.  So unfortunately, you're petition is likely in a stack with many different types of petitions.  It is frustrating, but you have to be encouraged by the recent progress.  There was a 2.5 week period without approvals or RFEs from the TSC and in the last 3 working days there has been a lot of action.  Stay positive, your time will come soon.

USCIS Service CentersTransferred file from vsc to Texas got touched today!!!!!!

While the approvals from VJ members don't follow any logical order, I'm guess that when the cases first arrived in Texas, they were split up into stacks and each adjudicator took a stack.  I don't know if the stacks went in order based on receipt number or if each stack spanned the entire transferred range and had a selection of cases from Dec-Jan.  Either way, a lot depends on how quick your particular adjudicator works, what other types of cases (and how complex they are) are in your stack as well as many other factors.  I checked a range of about 200 cases before and after my receipt number and I was the only I-129f in there.  The rest were all DACAs, some employment petitions, and visa extensions.  I'm guessing the adjudicator assigned to my stack breezed through those and was able to get to my I-129f from Dec 20th faster, while others were assigned more complex petitions that take longer to process.  That's just my gut feeling.  TSC seems to be kicking it into high gear and I really think everyone will receive notice soon.

Good morning everyone, and yes a brand new week for all. I'm looking forward to seeing the next wave of approvals coming through. I did find a good read from a news article last month (http://dailycaller.c...n-applications/), and what I found in it interesting was "Palinkas said that the agency?s 12 case-a-day quota system, which USCIS adjudications officers must meet". I, myself, knew there was a quota system from reading the interview on here from the ex-USCIS worker, but did not realize what it was until now.

Nice article, thanks.  My favorite quote from Palinkas "USCIS has been turned into an ?approval machine."

A former Nebraska service center employee posted some info years ago. They aren't paid by the case but their performance is tied to how many cases they touch. So many times they'll simply open a case to make their stats look better. They should only be rewarded when they complete a case.

I personally am of the opinion that those transferred to Texas should update their timeline to reflect TSC being their service center, although some people disagree.  Click on "Immigration Timelines" in the blue toolbar at the top of the page, then on the left hand side of the page that opens is a link in green that says "Edit / Add My Entry".  Click that and fill out your timeline there.
