At the interview (at the Consulate), the non-USC is not asked to provide any financial info (unless the procedures are very different at the Consulate in Jakarta ). K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Beneficiary Financial Responsibilities	Friends, My fiance was worried that since I have financial responsibilities such as loans and credit cards debt, it would affect my visa approval. Have you heard denial based on this? I plan to maintain my local bank account so I can send money to my family. Also I'm keeping one local credit card since I have my 20 years unit link (retirement fund + insurance) deducted monthly. (The insurance is Cigna and I can't make payment via bank account). When the money is due will my acquired U.S citizenship influenced the payment? I am working hard and taking lots of over time so I can pay them all by October next year. It seems alot of people filing through Vermont including very recent filers have all been touched yesterday - to be honest to have a mass tocuh as thins i think just explains that the system automatically updates on outstanding petitions or they are moving files from a spot to another spot, i am not convinced it has any meaning on the speed of the NOA2 Really? They told us (from the higher level of customer service) that they were only working on July 10 applications. BUT, come today, we just called the 800 number and got our approval as of today. Just waiting on the NOA2 hard copy now. And of course, the next step, NVC. I know it is hard, but patience is the best thing to have. It is even harder due to the holidays right now, for who knows when they mail things, work, or anything....and the blizzard? Sure it might add things. Patience, patience patience, young grasshopper. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Another Approval July VSC	Yay.... my petition was finally approved on Jan 5. Got an immediate SMS, e-mail and status changed online. My NOA1 date is 7/22. I can't explain the relief and joy I am feeling. Even though we still have lot of steps but this feels awesome. I sincerly wish and hope that you all waiting should hear something positive very soon. I don't know if helps or not, I had called my senator as soon as I had hit the 5 month mark. Senator's aide told me to hold on for 2 weeks and exactly 2 weeks later i got the approval. Thanks for being the source of comfort and source of valuable information in this journey. NVC here I come !!!! Its happening. VSC is in full speed. Congrats to both of you! I think you also get touched on October 3, right? Would you mind fill in your time line to help us? Since then the only sign that they gave us was on Oct 3rd... Today completed 5 months that they have our stuff and no answer =/ My fiance called there and they said that vsc is a lil behind and they still processing papers from july =/ they also said that we should be getting something on the next 31 days if we dont hear something by then we should call them again =/////// im pretty upset and mad today! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Collective Touched October 3, 2010	Make that 3 now. I was part of the collective touch on October 3 and got my noa 2 approval last Thursday (11/4). It seems that "something" did happen that day (10/3) because when I called USCIS to follow up on my case, the higher level customer service(I guess I really bugged the person I talked to so my call got escalated to someone who knows what they're talking about and not just reading a script) I talked to informed me that my file was already at an adjudicator's desk starting 10/4. Just thought I'd share that info so that people will have a sense that "maybe" there's really something behind that collective touch and not just them moving our files from one box to another box or "spilled coffee" as I read here somewhere. Good luck to everyone who's still waiting! Be advised though that it's really looking like it's taking the entire 5 month processing time for them to adjudicate a petition. It took me 157 days! I sure hope that everything will be faster like they said it would be after getting the noa2. Cheers! Congrats Don. I am so happy for you. Please keep us posted on your progress. For now, we plan to stay in Maryland but may be move. I just knew that American seems not really like us, me especially who just stuck in one place since kid until now. They seem love moving. I know what you meant Utha. I was hesitant to go to Dallas because with these negative news on immigrant, I felt I wasn't welcomed. But the minute I arrived in LAX until I came back, all had been really fantastic experiences. I am sure you will find Maryland much different than Indonesia. I don't know, but all that activity almost a month ago was so exciting, now...just hoping for more summer approvals! I feel you. Did you guys notice that VSC is barely approving petition in the last 2 weeks while CSC is speeding ahead. Even CSC had September petition approved.
