United Kingdom	United Kingdom Interview Thread 2007	Last Friday a call to DOS got me the information that Tim was "now eligible" for an interview date - meaning they had FINALLY entered in his p3 forms/checklist. I figured that today might be the day for big news. It was. We have a date. August 21. Really glad they've finally given you (well, Tim) an interview date, Daisy... but sucky that it's a late-August one when you were hoping for July - I can understand why you're feeling kind of 'happy-sad' about it. Still.... once all the waiting is over, you nevereverevereverever have to be apart again - so in that context, August 21st isn't too bad. (And yeah, yeah, I know you know that, and it won't make the impending wait seem shorter, but...). Anyway: congrats! Packet 3 gets returned to the embassy tomorrow -- I notice someone has an early July interview scheduled -- maybe mid-July? (assuming that Packet 4 gets turned around quickly.) Good luck -- I'm sure you'll get your interview date soon after you return P3. I'd say mid-July looks about right given what's showing up in timelines right now. But you never know -- fortune may smile on you and give you one earlier! Here's hoping that happens!!! HI ALL, congrats to those who have their visa and good luck to those with interviews this month i have a wee problem i need help with... last week my dearly beloved went back to states,after being here for week, when he got home he noticed his camera was missing all the pictures we took are gone apparently the lock on case was broken and he didnt replace it anyway, so now i have no pictures to take to embassy with me to prove that we were together. i have other stuff like his visa statement with hotel bill on it and his flight reciept ...... is this enough to prove to embasy that we were together??? appreciate your comments plz!!! Medical was fine, Dr really nice german guy who slammed his finger in the door on the way in and let loose a string of obcenitites, most of which were in german but not all, he then apologised and started chatting. He was very chatty all the way through. The only issue I had was with my vaccinations as apparently you need to have had your tetanus within last 10 yrs, well I had mine in 1995 and had an allergic reaction to it, I told the dr this and they said that he could still sign my vaccinations off as if you have had a reaction to a tetanus vaccination then the next time it's likely to be worse and it could be dangerous for me to have it. He has assured me it wont affect my application as I've not refused to have it, they have refused to give me it on grounds of my safety. He put a note on the vaccination record sheet and ticked the vaccinations incomplete box but then ticked the waiver due to medical grounds box. All in all not a totally unpleasant experienece. Just glad that bit is done. Just the hard part now.....interview! edited for horrendous spelling...sorry I'm exhausted WELL DONE debz.... did you get that overnight bus from glasgow..???? i did too...i never slept all the way home.. There will be lots of cairn mhor wine and lots of various single malts ranging from a cheapish bowmore to my more expensive 25 year old port ellen. Oh and my dad also makes me a huge birthday cake. It's been this way since I was about 12 only thing that has changed is the fact that it usually goes on all night and much more alcohol consumed. Hi KJC, I travelled down on the overnight bus from Buchanan St bus station .. i got there at 6.30am had breakfast near the station, got subway into oxford st.... Got bus back at night.. it left at 9.00 i think.. jeez i cant remember and it was only last june..how sad am i??? so if you can do this ,you can still keep your morning appointment. I also spent the time checking out where the embassy was and finding quickest route to it. Its actually a cheap way to do it. The bus company is called Silver line coaches form East Kilbride. United Kingdom	I got a job today!!!!	Hi UK VJrs, I am so excited i just had to share it... I was interviewed today at local hospital for nurse tech position.. and i got it... ok its not my RN but that will come as soon as my verification paper are done and dusted and i can sit nursing exam.. but i,m so glad just to have a job and gain the experience over here Not to mention having a salary again. thats the best part.. worst part is ..i was used to 8 weeks holiday time with NHS, here i get 2 weeks plus 6 days public holidays. but hey, its a start... aggy xx	RGNSCOT	Female	Scotland	2008-02-07 15:45:00
