I was asked by my fiance to send him photos of me (The dimension of
the facial image should be about one inch from your chin
to the top of your hair in 3/4 frontal view, showing the
right side of your face with your right ear visible.) as indicated on I-129F form that we got.

But as I was searching online, it says that we need a passport-style color photo.
"The dimension of the full frontal facial image of you and your fiancé(e) in separate photos
should be about one inch from your chin to the top of your hair."

It's almost the same but the difference with 3/4 frontal and full frontal.
So it confused me. I guess it doesn't really matter but I want to make sure
before I send him my photos, letter of intent, and g-325a form.

Please help. Thank you very much:)

The photos to must be in color.

The photos must measure exactly 2 inches by 2 inches.

The photo should show a clear, front view, full face of the customer. The customer should be in normal street attire, without hat or dark glasses against a plain white or off-white background. The customer’s expression should be natural, with both eyes open, looking directly ahead. Normal, unexaggerated smiles are acceptable, but unusual expressions and squinting are not. Photos in which the face of the person being photographed is not in focus will not be accepted.

Great to find a co filipina here:D so full frontal view then and not 3/4 frontal showing the
right side of my face with my right ear visible? hhhaaayyy... I think I should just send two kinds of photos then tongue.gif a 3/4 and full biggrin.gif i don't know if they updated the I-129f or what. I attached the I-129f form that I got. Page 2, number 6.
Thank you so much for your help. smile.gif

PhilippinesWhat did I do wrong?
youve done nothing wrong. i was thinking at first it was because of her medication. but if she usually throws things when mad, that isn't good. i'd be terrified if i'm the husband. :D
i hope my fiance won't do it when i get to the US, well he admitted he won't coz things now are expensive. :D but kidding aside, talk the matter over. im sure she was saying
all those hurting words because she was hurt about what you did. i completely understand you coz i work at home too and not understanding the client on the other end is a
bit annoying. talk it over, but make her realize about her mistakes too. :)

PhilippinesLink of Pretty Ladies in FB?

I am sorry I have to air this out, better to say my piece than make myself go nuts with anger.

So I received a message from the admin of the PRETTY LADIES group. Apparently I said something foul to one of the members and that they have blocked me from the group for doing so. (accdg to their guidelines per se) So I replied and copy pasted the wall posts of that said member. I showed the admin how vulgar and tactless this member's words are. Not everyone wants to know her sexual escapades because some people have morals and values that she clearly is lacking. All I did is rephrase her words and make her realize how foul her mouth is. She prides herself from being an English teacher and a professional but her words and actions make her seem no less than a bar girl. Countless times I have seen her pipe in in conversations and brag about her man's goodies.

Not only does she have a dirty mind, but she clearly is lacking from common sense. She saw this post in VJ and could not believe that people will speak out about what is really happening. She just thinks someone is out to ruin the group. So she called the people who reprimanded her for being moralists and being self-righteous.

And guess what the admin did? She blocked me from the group. Why? 'Cause that girl said I was being foul. What is funny is all the words I used, that she thinks is foul, came from the girl herself. It is ridiculous! She got mad because the truth hurts. No matter what explanation I give and evidence to show that all I did is say "no one wants to know that your man is blah blah blah.." I got the boot. Well, it is clear; it's either they don't have any common sense or no good grasp of the English language. They only see what they want to see, hear what they want to hear. They twist your words so it ends up wrong and take it way out of context. I showed her the evidences but it fell on deaf ears and blind eyes.

I don't care that I am no longer in that group. I was gonna leave anyway. I don't care for all their drama. I just find it REALLY funny that I was there right from the start and this is what I get. We were even the ones who suggested creating a group! All that from a status message here in VJ when someone was out looking for friends. We made it grow, made it fun, made it helpful. It wasn't a one person team. It was a GROUP effort. The creator of the group wasn't even there most of the time. Now that it has grown so large, the idea of additional moderators doesn't seem to be grasped by the group owner. People who dare speak out get booted. Kiss their bum and you are saved. So let the walls be filled with filthy mouths and flaming posts and trolls since simpletons thrive in that environment.

And what conviction do the "moral and self-righteous people" get? Guilty. Judged without trial and removed from the group that they themselves created. It doesn't matter that you were once friends and that you once helped her.

Oh well, just another day.

Good bye Pretty Ladies. Good bye to all the negativity and drama. I choose to be happy :)

if i were on your shoes, id feel the same. what saddens me more is that, all these arguments and blah opinions have been recurring. this isnt just about that one person who claims herself a teacher but also about her backups too. i may not have a degree but you dont have to be a professional (teacher?) to know what is moral and what is right. instead of taking what happened a lesson, it was taken seriously in a bad way by some of the pl's members. it might be too early to assume but i think theres really something wrong with how the group/forum is being handled. ooops, how can i forget that its been repeatedly stated in words and in actions that its a group, not a forum, and that every member owns it. ok... say, its not a forum but its still a medium for open discussion. same thing. it needs a moderator. a mediator perhaps who can balance. who can stand firm but is just. and who wouldnt make decisions out of passion just to set an example (credits to ERY for pointing that out ;) ) i just wish that whoever started this group would take even a few minutes to reflect that PL wouldnt be where it is now (quantity speaking, members are there to exchange helps. i cant talk about quality for now, sorry) without the pioneers' support. and i can say that freely without bias coz im not a pioneer. :) oh well, as they say, right attitude is everything. good looks dont matter if u cant get along well with others. so yeh, be happy :D

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHow many G-325A should be submitted with I-129F?

Cathy,
I just submitted 4 copies of the G-325A for me (petitioner) and for my fiancee. I did make sure that there were ORIGINAL signatures on all 4 pages - USCIS can always throw away what they don't want/need, I just wanted to make sure I didn't receive a RFE for not providing all the copies.

No matter whether you send 1 or 4, only 1 passport type photograph for each of you is required. Make sure to write the name of the person on the back of the photograph and attach it to the back of each 325-A form.

Alan

Thank you Alan, I guess that's the best thing to do. Goodluck to us. :)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHow many G-325A should be submitted with I-129F?

Yes - the new form has 1 page.

However, several calls to USCIS gave conflicting answers (they want 1, they want 4 - even with the new form) - and no one posted a success with just sending in one form.

Oh well, I guess the best thing to do now is send 4 copies to my fiance & I'll let him call USCIS. In any way,
i don't think there would be a prob in sending them more than what they needed, lol.

The new form has only one page. Frankly, even one page of the old form is fine. One photo either way.

Thank you very much for the answers. Yeh, the new G-325A has only one page. And I've read in other forums that they only submitted one form. I hope I won't get any problem.

Thanks,
Cathy

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHow many G-325A should be submitted with I-129F?
Hi, I think this has been answered but I would like to make sure. I'm a Filipina who's about to submit my G-325A to my fiance in the US by tomorrow. I'd like to make sure and he also wants to know how many G-325A should be submitted with
I-129F.

If the right answer is 4 copies, then should we attach 4 photos too? Like 1 photo for each G-325A?

Your help will be highly appreciated. Thank you. :)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHas anyone of you tried https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/ ?

This looks like the link for the new DS-160 online form application that replaced the DS- 156.. but this is only when you are at the consular phase.. before the interview or a non immigrant visa. i guess it does not even apply for the K1

Yes, that link is for the new DS-160. For your info, currently, the USEM is still using the DS-156, DS-157 and DS-156K according to their website (http://manila.usemba.../wwwfk1en.pdf). But it just to be on the safe side, it doesn't hurt to complete it and have it on hand. Who knows, by the the time they approve our petitions (for those who are currently in the process) things might change......Good luck!

Thanks guys! I have yet to check that DS form. :D Good luck to us!:D

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHas anyone of you tried https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/ ?

It looks like a site to apply for a non-immigrant visa. I assume they mean student or tourist. For K-1, K-3, CR-1, etc. first the US Citizen in the relationship sends paperwork in and they perform background checks on the USC and possibly on the non-USC if they have lived in the country.

The K-1 approval on the I-129 at California and Vermont service centers means that the file can be sent to the embassy. When it is received by the embassy the non-USC submits the DS-156 and other Department of State paperwork.

Thanks for your answer. :) I actually tried signing up and it has an option for fiance /K1. But it's also asking for "Application Receipt/Petition Number" which I don't have. So that's maybe after payment and/or after approval of I129, I'm not sure.

But thanks for your help. Appreciated. :) I don't think I need to speed up the process, I just want this to run smoothly.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHas anyone of you tried https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/ ?
Hi everyone, I'm back.

I've been here since last year but never fully started the K-1 Visa process for some reasons.
But I'm back to seek answers again because we are very serious about this now. :D
Three years of long distance relationship is already tiring. :P

Anyway, I checked the
Step-by-Step Guide on How to File for a K-1 Visa for your Foreign Fiance(e)
and it seems like nothing has really changed. But my friend who just got her visa approved
said that there's already a new process. That one applying should file it online through
this site https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/ . She have never tried it herself coz they filed it on Feb and
this new process according to her was just last May. It says
"it will assist you in expediting the visa application process."

Is this optional? An authorized site? Has anyone of you tried this one?

Thank you very much.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresG-325A Questions
My father passed away about 2 years ago, what should I put on his city and country of residence?
I read a lot of different answers about this (N/A, deceased, last place lived) so I decided to post another topic.

We also have a question about city and country of births/residences. My fiance for example, his father lives
in Sanford, NC USA. So should we just put Sanford, USA? He was born in Newburgh, NY USA. So should
it only be Newburgh, USA?

Also with I-129f instructions, it says that except for name and signature, you don't have to repeat on the G-325a
form the information given on your form I-129f. Would it matter if we fill them all anyway? We're just afraid
that we might miss something.

I know, these are maybe simple questions but we wanna do it correctly. :D

Hope someone could answer our questions, thank you!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWhen can I go back to my country after marrying in the US?
Thanks a lot for the help:)

Leaving the US is not the issue, you may leave at anytime. Returning to the US is the issue. The K-1 is a single entry visa - that means once you use it to enter the US, you cannot use it to enter the US again. In order to re-enter the US after you come on your K-1, you need your green card or your advanced parole document. Advanced parole is applied for when you submit your AOS documents.

Good luck

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWhen can I go back to my country after marrying in the US?
Hi, I know it's too early to wanna come back here in my country Philippines even before my K1 visa approvalPosted Image
But I just want to know when. We're still waiting for NOA2 but we're assuming that everything will be done
within the year or early next year. My fiance is telling me that I could go back or have a vacation as soon
as we're done with the marriage. But I don't think he ever read anything about the new papers that we need to
process after getting married. I think that usually, foreigners who get married there stay for long to get green card
or something but I think I'm not interested about it yet if there's any other way to stay or what. I hope someone
could help, thank you!

P.S. The main reason I wanna come back right away is to still see my 82 year old grandma who brought
me up. Whether I like it or not, I know that she has only few years to live and just thinking about it kills me.Posted Image

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresG-325A questions - clarification please!
In my case, my addresses for the past 5 years are so many and long as well
as my employment. So what I did was - I only wrote "See attachement"
on the G-325A form and at the back, I added an additional sheet
with my addresses and name+address of my employer.

I only typed them, no tables or anything.

On the additional sheet, I wrote:

Form G325A, Q: Applicant's residence last five years

address 1
address 2
address 3

For #5 question, I checked "others" and wrote k1 visa application.
while my fiance in the US checked "others" and wrote I-129F Petition.

I believe that we're gonna have to do this application again once we apply forresidency :) I hope that can help you somehow :)

Hi all! First post here, so I apologise if I am asking dumb questions, using the wrong terms, or over-thinking my answers to the form haha.

Quick background: I am from (and currently residing in) NZ and engaged to a US man. We are applying for a K-1 visa. He is currently working on the I-129f for us, and I am working on my parts to send to him to include when he sends it in, such as my copy of the G-325A etc. I have a few questions about that form, which probably arise from me over-thinking it haha, but please humour me (:

Firstly - the previous addresses section. Over the last 5 years I've had LOTS of addresses. Being 22, near the start of those 5 years I lived at home with my parents. Then I moved out for some time, spanning lots of addresses (flatting etc). Then returned home to the original address. Moved WITH the family to a new address. Went to the US for 3 months to meet my then-boyfriend (now fiancee). We met online, and had been together for approx 18 months prior to this first meeting. During this time (my time with him in the US) he proposed. I have now returned home to the same address in NZ as before I left to file all this stuff.

My questions:

1. For those addresses that I have returned to more than once - do I list them more than once? I'm assuming yes, as the other option (listing from when I FIRST lived there to LAST left, assuming it would be obvious by the other dates where I lived before returning there) could get muddly. Pretty sure relisting them would be the best option, but just wanted to check. Plus I have lots of addresses, def. going to have to continue on a another sheet.

2. On that note - when continuing on another sheet, what exact words do I write to indicate this? Something like "Continued, see attached." ? Also, where do I write this? In the last available line of the addresses chart, forgoing using that for one of the addresses? Or should I hand-write this underneath the little chart after I have printed it?

3. On the attached continuation page, it won't (obviously) have the little table they give you. Should I just leave gaps to simulate the format of the table? (Like between street number, city, date, etc?) Or should I try to make my own little table like the form has on Word or something? Or just handwrite them? (I know, I totally worry too much...)

4. What exactly do I put for 'country' when I was with my man? I figured 'United States of America' but that doesn't fit... ok to just put USA? In general (in case I come across this again), is it acceptable to shorten to abbreviations (in situations where it would be obvious what they mean) where they would not fit otherwise?

5. Lucky last haha, in regards to the "this form is submitted in connection with an application for:"
Do I put "other", and specify K1 Visa? Since that is the current process? Or "permanent resident", since eventually I will end up being one?

PHEW. Sorry for the long-windedness. Any clarification would be greatly appreciated. Let me know if you need me to explain anything better.

-Mixx
