US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Package 3 Forms to fill out	Hello, I just came across another question. Since my fiancee lives in Caracas, I went to the Embassy page for the consulate located there, and it states that my fiancee should fill out the following: Fill out, in duplicate, but do NOT sign, the following forms: * Form DS-156 Nonimmigrant Visa Application * Form DS-156K, Nonimmigrant Fiancée Visa Application * Form DS-230 Biographic Data, part 1.1 Now, I noticed on the USCIS Example forms located on this website, that in addition to these forms my fiance has to fill out, there is also a DS-157 and DS-158 form. Since the consulate in my fiancee's country DOESN'T specify she has to fill out a DS-157 and DS-158, then obviously we don't have to worry about filling out these forms right? I just want to make sure. Can someone confirm this? Do different consulates require different forms to be filled out? I just looked through the documents I had to fill out for the consulat in Germany. I wasn't required to fill out the DS- 158 form, but I was required to fill out the DS- 157 form. If the two forms are not listed on the list your fiancee received (or will receive) in her package number 3, then I would assume that there is no need to do this. The DS- 156K is the ONLY form you are not supposed to sign, she needs to sign it in front of the consular officer. Edited by Maples, 05 October 2006 - 12:04 PM. Our application just got to Manila so I don't know how long it will be before she gets he packet. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Waiting for my visa	My fiancee applied for the petition last dec 8, 2006 and was approved feb 2006. July 28, 2006 I had my interview and they ask me to submit a copy of my adjustment of status from my previous visa. Last 2001, I went to US as fiancee visa also. I was petitioned by my ex-husband. It didnt work so I went back to Phil with my kids. During my stay in US. We got married 3 days after my arrival and file for adjustment of status. Feb 2002, I was scheduled for my ineterview at INS but I wasnt able to go bec I didnt have my appointment letter and I dont know the exact date. My in-laws held all papers. I decided to go back to the Phils on Dec 2002. Now, I wasnt able to submit a copy of I-485 (adjustment of status) to the consul but instead letter of explainaton why I cant submit it. I requested a copy of it in Missouri where the record center of INS and they inform me that it will take forever to receive the document. It's been 6 weeks after I submitted my letter of explaination. I've been calling US embassy hotline but it is costing me a lot since the cost is P55/min.. According my story, will I still be possible for me to get a visa? Pls I need inform me the rules If they asked you for a copy of your AOS from your previous visa and you can't get, I would suggest to ask an immigration attorney for advice. I'm female too and I called the consulate in Frankfurt to ask, if I'm supposed to fill out the DS- 157 and they said yes. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Visa Approved In Frankfurt	Yaup yaup , I had my interview in Frankfurt(17th Oct), I spend about 2 and half hours and the officer said every thing all right and I will get the visa next week. Really smooth experience . Upcoming events:- Flight to the US 15th of Nov NUE->FRA-> PDX 718€ Civil marriage on 4th Dec VJ guys rocks , thanks to all. I gave them my husbands very last LES and they asked for the employment letter as well as the bank letter so I don't think there is any way to get around this for him. They didn't care for the Tax returns and W2's but all the other stuff had to be shown. good luck. Same here.... employment letter is a must, even though the LES already indicate the full time job. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Cost after approved I-129F	As far as for the gov. not until she is there but over all... there are fees such as her visa fees, her medical exam fee, and so on... Add onto that the trip to the interview, a safe place to stay, dinning, a gift to show her how much you love her Then the Trip to US. You want to be sure she is comfortable and not waiting for hours in foreign airports, maybe getting lost, a more dirrect flight. More money for her to dine and call an airport person to help her with her heavy luggage to the next terminal. I would say it will cost how ever much you value this Woman you want so bad you can not live without. That is how much I am willing to pay! Oh my god... that is soooooooooooooooooo sweet !!!!! I sent the checklist and all forms back the same day, but when I called the consulate in Frankfurt to ask for my interview date 10 days later, they told me that our petition didn't arrive yet. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Interview Date	Another question that I have, when you send off the forms for Package 3 are you supposed to get a confirmation from the consulate? I sent the forms off 1 month ago and have not heard from them. Should I worry? I have just emailed them (LondonConsular@state.gov) with my case number. I hope they've received everything. When I didn't hear anything for 2 weeks from the Consulate in Frankfurt/ Germany after sending in my package 3, I started to call and email them and it turned out, that the original petition was still on the way from the NVC to the Consulate. I started to call them every 3 days and finally they told me, that the petition arrived. It took then another 2 weeks until the name background check was finished and then I received an unexpected phonecall from the Consulate on a Monday, where they offered me an interview date for Wednesday. I would recommend to call or email them (what you already did) and to ask, if they received everything. I did the same and at least I received the email, that they got everything, and I was calmed. For us the waiting period between sending of pack 3 and receiving the interview date was the toughest time. Anyway... good luck to you and I hope you'll get your interview date soon!!!! J. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Moving right along......:):):)	Well, my Finacee called me this morning on my way out the door to work and she was crying and happy at the same time. I told her last night on the phone that she would probably recieve something from the Embassey in Manila shortly, either towards the end of this week or next week. Sure enough, she recieved the notice letter from Manila Embassey telling her about the waiting time for the interview, paperwork, etc! Wow, things are really, really moving along quite nicely. Finally got my ticket to spend Christmas with her (that was a nightmare.....USAirways) and now this good news! I forgot to write "ORIGINAL SUBMISSION I-129F" on the front of the envelope! What will happen to my envelope/packet? Did anyone else experience this or make this mistake before? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	After NO2	Our case has been approved september 26th. Until now we did not get any informations about our case. My fiance called the NVC yesterday but they did not receive our case yet (after 2 weeks). I would like to call the NVC, is it possible to call them at the weekends too? It is so frustrating not to know how much longer it will take until the case will be forwarded to the embassy. We are waiting for the note of NVC that they have forwarded the case to the embassy so my fiance will send me the documents I need for package 3 and 4 (since the date should be close to the interview date). In case the forwarded mail 'gets lost' you will have enough time to resend it. It also really depends on the waiting time at your embassy. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Photos Question	Quick question. I will be sending photos as my secondary evidence for my I-129 form. I took the photos with my digital camara. I have them uploaded on my computer. I will print them out on photo paper. Is this ok? Also I will date each photo on the back with a pen. Anything else needed to do with the photos?? I have no criminal history of any kind. But they need further fbi name check. my fiancee was pregnant about 4 months. She visit me many time befor filing I129f. first question, does POE link her name with mine and know there is I129F pending? she has quite her job, she only have a canadian car, and rent a apartment in vancouver, does she likely to be refused to admit into us? if she is denied entry, deos it affect her k1 application? please help! any good lawyer recommended? It's always a risk to visit while the K1 process is running. I would provide the immigration officer with enough proof that she will return to Canada after visiting you. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Super Fast NVC Processing	This is good news, I hope, for a lot of us. Yesterday, the NOA2 letter arrived in the mail with Notice Date of October 11. Today the NVC confirmed that the application arrived and was forwarded to the Manila embassy on October 18. We now have a NVC Case Tracking number as well. Strangely, the USCIS online status still shows not approved and their Customer Service supervisor told me that they don't have a procedure to contact CSC to correct this error. Oh what a relief to be finished with the CSC! Perhaps the delays in forwarding petitions from CSC to NVC have been resolved for a while. Just sharing some good news with you all as this website has been the ONLY place we have ever been able to get helpful information on what is happening in the Visa process. I just happened to log into the USCIS website and checked my case. It looks like it was touched today. I then checked further and it said that our case was approved today Nov 2. I then checked my email and saw 5 emails it said the following. Why would I get the approval via snail mail two weeks ago, then get this notice today? I didnt got any response from anybody so it means its only me who been so long waiting for NOA2 still under waiting 170 days gone and i dont know how much more days to go and which day will i have my NOA2 Did you already call your USCIS service center? So the NSC has received my I-129F application approx 10 days ago and they haven't cashed my check...I have yet to recieve a receipt, I know that the average time from submission to the NOA1 is approx 2-3 weeks but ####### is going on? Did anyone get anything from NSC that filed around the same time I did. Thanks... Lol... if you already start to get impatient at your first step... then you'll need lots of calming pills for the rest of your visajourney. It took 15 days for us to receive the NOA1 btw.
