Hi Everyone-- My lawyer sent me an email today with an attachment of a letter that he received from the consulate in Juarez this is the letter that he sent me-- is this packet 3 or is this something else? US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Quick question Juarez consulate	I had absolutely no cooperati0on from the embassy as to arranging for an appointment or even getting it scanned and sent to me via e-mail. I have been told repeatedly to wait the full month and then call if I have not received the packet 3 letter. This Thursday marks a monthsince it's supposedly been sent. I hope you could find a better way to obtain the letter and please do keep me posted as i will when i obtain mine. Quick question: How were you able to set the appointment with just the CDJ number ? US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	DS-260 Form as of March 1st 2011	We considered doing the ASC and medical on the same day but decided against it. It turned out that my fiancé would have had time for both. The only tricky thing would have been that he had to pick up his medical information at 2 pm, the same time as his ASC appointment. We ended up doing medical on Monday and ASC on Tuesday and the interview on Wednesday. We are crazy busy packing for our move to the States next week. (We live together in Mexico.) We'll write about our experience as soon as we can. Is there interest in having a version in Spanish? I know that it was difficult for us because my Spanish is much better than his English so I ended up translating a lot of what I read here. That added a lot of stress for me. I would have liked to have had information available in Spanish. Does anyone else feel that way? Mi prometida es Mexicana. Por supuesto que si seria bien con nosotros! US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	DS-260 Form as of March 1st 2011	As a response mailing documents to Juarez, what about scanning and emailing them? I don't think there are any documents that will require a fresh, original copy (correct me if I am wrong). I emailed some pay stubs, the interview letter, and some other financial stuff without any problems at the interview. Also we did schedule our ASC the day before the interview and we did not have any issues related to that. Apparently there was something in their system that said "missing document" on the day of the interview. The guy on the phone today said the following day it was waivered or cleared. Maybe that was the fingerprints from ASC they were waiting for? Who knows. The guy on the phone did not and we don't. All we know is that our documents are in transit with DHL and we should hopefully get the visa tomorrow! Congrats Thaiv!! It's good to hear another VJer getting their approval!! US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	DS-260 Form as of March 1st 2011	So....my fiancé's packet 3 arrived to his address in Oaxaca and not to my US address (at least yet). He will do his medical exam on Monday, ASC on Tuesday and have his interview on Wednesday. I am worried about doing the ASC and Interview back to back but they couldn't offer them to us with a day between and the man on the phone promised that it would be okay. I hope so...... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	How do you cope?	Everything now seems so close, yet just that little bit too far away! My Fiancee and I have now filed for our K-1, we put the package together in the first week of January off the back of a fantastic New Years in Las Vegas, and now we know what we plan to do over the coming years of my entry into the United States (Should and When they permit it). So sat back in New Mexico, being over looked by a baby scorpion sat in the doorway we put our heads together and formed our plan. It's perfect, and straight forward; Get married in front of a Judge; File for my change in status; get driving; get bank accounts set up; start work; back to school (Since the US won't accept my UK degree); Then have the big family wedding/blessing! However! I have hit a brick wall, I have a week now until I go back to work in the UK, sat here without the love of my life, with not alot to do. I had recently started a second degree with the Open University, but the path I chose involves Exams and another 3 modules once I finish the current one - but since I need to go back to school in the US do I continue with my OU course - It will take me another 18 Months to finish maybe longer! Silly thing really, but that's my dilemma, I've usually been so strong with things, but being apart tears me apart as I live in a city with no Family and very few trust worthy friends. We practically leave SKYPE on 24/7 when we are apart, but I'm just wishing this process would move faster - How do you guys do it? To say "keep busy" is easy when you don't know what people are going through - but you guys do know - well at least your foreign partners do. So a question to the beneficiaries out there... How do you cope? Well, Just by doing exactly what you do is how I cope. Communications is very much the key factor for me. I am a bit stronger than my fiancee, but even with that nothing could be better than having her by my side next to me. So we communicate by being online, calling each other and planning our lives for the future we seek together. She also has her 2 teenagers that keep her company and my daughter of 24 does the same for me. A simple good morning call does wonders and whenever I get ready to leave to or from work I'll text or call her. Set backs like the one I had today concerning my 129F not being received by Dallas Lockbox from USPS is just an example of what we face, but where there's a will there is a way! I will just work towards the solutions and I know that RFE's are not the end of the world just like this current lockbox incident. Patience and understanding that I can not do anything until whoever is working my 129F sends me feedback is how I plan to work through this. Atleast like I've told my fiancee, " now that we've submitted the 129F to USCIS the clock ( time) begins to tick away towards our favor getting us closer to being married with ours kids here in the good USA!" Before without even submitting the 129F we truely were on hold as far as that aspect in our lives. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	What to do?!	I'm 22. She started to bring this up yesterday. After she had a talk with her famly, who wouldnt be able to pay for the wedding. Well Brian89, First of all I am sorry you are having to go through this problem, and yet you're not even married. It's stressful enough being seperated from the one you love. Figuratively both of you avoided a pothole and went off the K1 rode to happiness; yes it's about marriage and a marriage is hard work in which both parties must support one another through the good and the rough times. It takes sacrifices and also compromises, always considering what is the best for BOTH. Dialog and sound communications are keys to a healthy marriage, so I could only wish you the very best in getting that 'tow truck' to place you two back on that K1 road to happiness! That 'tow truck' are the above tools just mentioned to you. Remember the vows one takes in wedlock : In sickness and in health, for better or for worse, for richer and for poorer, tell death due us part ( or a cost of a wedding ). K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	RFE after 6.5 months of waiting...	Well, I guess bad news is better than no news - but still - #######? I know I included EVERYTHING. I was SO vigiliant and detail obsessive. I sent every document, every form, signed every line. Everything was in order. I don't know what it could be. I guess they sent me a letter today with the information about what is missing. Does anyone know, if I call the 1-800 number, will they tell me over the phone what the RFE is for? Does anyone know, once I supply the information, how long it will take to receive approval? Like a month from now? Other experiences? This is ridiculous...ughh!!!!!! Sorry to hear about your RFE, but it's not the end of the world. I've received them in the past and just make sure you provide them with what they requested, make copies for yourself and mail it in again the same way you sent your I129F. You are ahead of the game and it's an just a slight inconvenience. Best of luck to you and yours!! Time to prepare for the interview in CDJ. Keep your chin up and take care!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	after all the stress the time and the money this its what i got!!	So today waas my interview at the consulate at ciudad juarez it was at 7:15am so i was there by 6:45am the check my documents AND i got everything didnt miss anything then i got in the consulate at 6:50 once inside the took another part of the documents i had wait there untill my number was om the screen again. Finally i saw my number the person who did the interview was pretty young! ill say 25 he asked me about 7 questions took less than 5 mins and the the last words he told me was congratulations your visa its approve with a smile in his face so i smile back and said thank you so much!!!. and walk away then i stopped for a min and i was like did he said approved???????????????????????? haha then kept walking.As soon as i was out of the consulate was 9:17 my mom was waiting for me and i had a sad face then i smile and told her she wanted to cry bc im leaving but was happy for me . I took my phone and txt my fiance and i said i have bad news , he txtd me back saying we didnt get approve? i was like we did but now you gonna have to deal with me every day! lol. WE both are supper HAPPY!!!!!!!!! .I WANNA THANK EVERYBODY HERE WHO ANSWERED MY QUESTIONS! my fiance and i were lost and couldnt have done it without the help of all of you vj´s THNAK YOU SOOO MUCH!!!!!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January 2011 Filers!!!	OK, so this weekend I found an error on my forms I submitted. The type of error that well, is really really bad as it looks like I purposely left off information if they pulled my records. The type of error they do not issue an RFE for, the type they deny. So, this weekend I corrected my forms, wrote a letter and got around all the documentation to mail in, and included a copy of my I-797C. I called this morning because I was hoping they could put a note in the computer that a package was on the way with corrections, so the adjudicator when they got to my file would expect it there, and if it wasn't there look for it. The lady didn't even ask for my receipt number, didn't want it, wanted to ask me a ton of bogus questions even after I explained the situation, like she had this list of questions, and since mine wasn't on her script...her response was, well just send it to the address on the I-797C...duhhhhh, already knew that. So I put everything in the mail over lunch and they will get this tomorrow. My worry is this paperwork will get misplaced and the original petition will be looked at without this revision, and look as though I concealed information that in all honesty, was forgot about. Any words of wisdom?? James & Oksana, I believe what you had completed was good and make sure that you do have a copy of what you resubmitted in case an RFE does get generated. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January 2011 Filers!!!	Yay for the end of January!! I was looking forward to being busy at work but broke my foot yesterday . I am in an aircast, have crutches and have to be off work for a week. So painful! It'll take 6-8 weeks to heal. I am hoping I'll be ok to fly to the US for a visit on the 18th as I have a long weekend. I don't care if I can hardly walk...I just want to be there! Sorry to hear about your foot Sandra&Matt. I just checked my bank statement, and they finally cashed my check wooohooo!!! Unfortunately I forgot to fill out the form giving them authorization to notify me by e-mail when I get my NOA1, so I'll have to wait for the hard copy to get the exact date. But it looks like I'll be staying in your group I'm psyched, now the countdown can finally begin! Most excellent!!!!! We'll have to keep in touch whenever the NOA2 & interview's are set! Hopefully we could learn from our experiences and prep for the passage through Cuidad Juarez Embassy interviewing! With every tick on the clock, the more 'time' works towards our favor!! As of today I haven't received the hard copy NOA1, but not to worry it will hit the mailbox along with the other bills hehehe! Here's to your great news!!!!!
