K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHmm... should I be concerned about NOA2 to NVC?
Good Point YuandDan !

I guess we are alittle more lucky with the Romanian Consulate... They seem to be on the ball when it comes to this part of the journey.. Also once they receive packet 3 back... figure on 12-15 days to your interview.. Yes we are very lucky to have romania as the consulate... Except for the 6 hours taxi ride and hotel stay Veronica has to do....

Ah, I see. So I guess some people never received notice even if NVC sends out to Consulate/Embassy already. Anyways, when you talk of DHL... what exactly do you mean? How would I check DHL (or even a tracking #, if that's what you mean) if I don't know my status yet? Thanks.

For DHL I did this:

GO to DHL Worldwide Express website http://www.dhl.com
Select USA
A new page will open
At the top highlight tracking and click on TRACK BY REFERENCE
In the Reference field type CORRESPONDENCE
For the Shipment date you should select a day before and after the date NVC said they sent your file.
Customer number leave blank
Origin Postal code should be 03801
Then Click Track

There are usually more than 1 package sent so track them both.

No need to call NVC and confuse the operator.

Though keep in mind, DHL indicating delivery dose not mean GUZ "Received" it, the cases remain in large boxes is a storage room for 2-3 months, then GUZ will "Receive" the cases.

So the only satisfaction you will get from tracking is knowing that the case has made it from NVC to GUZ's storage room.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHmm... should I be concerned about NOA2 to NVC?
I got my NOA2 on Dec 5th also.. took 17 days to get to the Consulate.. Didn't hear a word from NVC ..But I watched DHL noticed a package was Shipped from NVC on the 20th.. Had the Fiancee call the Consulate on the 22nd morning.. they told her they didn't get it yet but got a email from NVC that it was on it's way.. I called NVC and they confirmed it was shipped on the 20th..
At 4:54pm on the 22nd the package that left NVC to Romania arrived and signed for.. Most likely our Petition..

Just do some follow-up but of course who knows how this week will go.... I'm hoping to confirm mine in the next day or two..Romania still is in a Holiday mode on the 26th...so probably the 27th I'll know for sure..

Check DHL if your lucky not to many packages are going to your consulate and it helps give you some hope,

I received my NOA2 through email on Dec 5th and later in the mail. However, as of today (about 3 weeks later), I called NVC to check on my CIS receipt number. Their automated system tells me they have "no record" of it. Should I be concerned or should I try emailing NVC manually instead to see if they have further received it and could have sent it out already? Anyone in my situation or similar? Thanks.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresAnother slow week to come
Don't forget their Computers work after hours to post on the internet.. I've seen people get approvals..on the weekends and the middle of the night.... So keep watching... :)

Good Luck.!!

Going crazy? You're telling me! My petition was touched Thursday and Friday, now I have to wait 4 more days to see if it's touched again, or better yet approved. I'm checking online all weekend anyway, cause I've seen weekend approvals.

Wow this is BS from USCIS

Right on, I just called the USCIS phone # and they stress that they process forms in the order they were received...HAHA! I know that all of the petitions are different from each other, but still I don't understand how mine can be that different that they just leave me behind! Man, all i see is other people with later dates then mine getting approved, and it is pure torture!! Iam so tired of that! But of course I will continue stress over the unknown and wait some more.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresIncome Tax return

Why not post this same question in the Canada forum on this site?

People who are not going thru your same consulate can only speculate at the answer to your question.

Hi and thanks for reply Yes it already is posted in the Canada page. We posted here to get a wider range of input
Thanks
Allie & Lorry

I haven't checked... but you might check the Embassy info link above or even in the reviews they say what is needed sometimes.. or PM another Canadian that has gone through it..

But if your asking if you need a W4 or a Transcript.. the answer as far as I've seen is "Yes" I've never heard of anyone that only needed pay stubs.. but how many years you need is up to your consulate,,
I'd PM others that have gone through your consulate...you can find them in the reviews at the top of the page here..

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresIncome Tax return
They have instructions here under Guides or FAQ's and the I-134 has an instruction sheet.. that talks about this...

And yes you need Tax Forms if your Self-Employed... You need to prove income.. how will you do it if your self-employed? and don't have wage Stubbs ? and even with wage stubbs most consulates want IRS transcripts or W4's
If you have neither because you worked under the table...or self-employed and running the biz under the table.. you will need a Co-sponser... and need to explain your unemployment because you can't really claim your working if your running it illegally...I'm not saying you did..or our..I'm just trying to cover some bases..
Now if you submitted the I-129F before you thought this out...and you showed self-employment but can't prove it because you didn't file taxes for the Company...Well...I think I would use a Co-Sponser still..

Good Luck...

You will need a copy of the last 3 years tax returns (2003,2004,2005) You can get copies from the IRS. Good Luck on your interview!

All Consulates are different...some want one year some want more... Our Consulate wants only last years..

Yes it matters...if they want last years..or more...you need to have them...if you don't have them..you can get a transcript of them from IRS I don't have the link..but search here..or maybe go to IRS's web site... the transcript is free

Thanks for your reply. Can you tell me if you were self employed at the time of your interview
As I just read something about needing the tax return if self employed
This tax thing is very confusing as they do't explain very clearly just what they want on the

Thanks Allie

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresMail directly to CSC

For what it is worth, I wanted to pass along my experience filing the I129-F. My lawyer said all the forms were being processed in California but the form told us to mail to Nebraska, our region. I called my congressman who spoke to people at Homeland Security, and she told me to mail directly to California, which we did. Took 75 days. I don't know if doing this saved time, but it did work. Mailing to NB means having it forwarded to CA anyway.

It might of saved you 3-5 days...

[quote name='rraypo' post='646509' date='Jan 4 2007, 10:29 AM']Hi Cat. Yes, the system works, it just sucks.
My now wife came out of China, one of the slowest countries to deal with. From the time I first filed my K-1 until she was here was about a year and a half. Ting has been in the US now for 11 months and our AoS happened only one month ago in Portland, Or. All went well, just slowly. Trying to phone for any information always proved useless as did Emails. So, jsut relax, it all takes time. Ray rraypo@hotmail.com

Guess Im just looking for a little reassurance from you timeline gurus and advice if there is anything I should be doing now to check on it, make sure it isnt lost etc. Otherwise guess its back to counting the flowers on the wall and playing solitaire.

Thanks in Advance

Took us 82 days from the day I sent it in... you are roughly 1.5 months behind me....I got mine Dec 5th...plus you have the holidays.. I wouldn't get worried until the end of Jan... Expect it around then... But Like you I started watching for it..around the 60th day..and it was 3 weeks after that..

Look at the timelines...that is what they are there for....also that is why we harp all the time on Newbies to start their timelines.. So we can be as accurate as possible..

WHOOPS I just noticed you sent yours in to Veromont...You should of had it back...and all your touches.. You might be getting a RFE.. But who knows for sure... But Vermont is alot faster.... I think I would be concerned..

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresIs it really?

Is it really supposed to take this long before you could receive the NOA2? We got our NOA1 last December 14, 2006 and it's been like 3 weeks since then. Normally, how long before we'll get our much awaited NOA2? I'm getting impatient

If your petition went to TSC and then to CSC, it will probably be about 60-90 days.

Our case was originally mailed to NSC and then transferred to CSC. Can I choose the 60 days? :D I really can't wait to be with my baby!

Not to put gas on the fire...but isn't Manila SLOW ???? compared to other consulates ? I mean I see people waiting several months for the interview...Where Like Romania it's weeks..

The good thing is once the approval is done things seem to go faster..because your doing things and she has things to do..and it just passes the time faster...

Wanna know how long we need to wait for NOA2????.........10-27-06 PETITION FILED--11-20-06 NOA1 RECIEVED,NOA2-----------WAITING.....

Your NOA1 seem to take longer then the norm... but doesn't really mean anything.. My NOA2 from the day I sent it to the the day I get email.. 82 days..

But honestly ...check the timelines for where you filed it... and just figure on 80-90 days...And be ready for another long wait for Manila...they are one of the slowest in setting up the interviews.. best to just sit back and put on your waiting shoes.. Find a cheap calling plan..or use yahoo.. and relax... :)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCSC processing time :(

Best thing is to pick the farthest out date and say ok that is when my approval will come. At the time I applied it was 70-90 days. I said, ok 3 months it is, and got mine just short of 2. Point being, if you choose the farthest date out you'll probably be pleasantly surprised. There is nothing any of us can do to rush the process. Use the time to collect evidence and prepare for the interview. It helps pass the time.

Yep a great policy!!!

But just when your think you have it all licked something else comes up..For us that are going through the Romanian Consulate.. We just got thrown a Kicker as of Jan 1st.. All Moldovian Citizens have to have a Visa to go to their interview in Romanian.. the problem is... they are so Swamped in Moldova that the wait for the Visa is weeks.. or if you pad someones palm with 300 Euro's you can get it quick.. they don't follow the law there..which states that Moldovian Citizens don't Need a Invitation..but they insist on it at the Romanian Embassy in Moldova..just so you can bribe them..So feel lucky that you won't have to deal with this so close to interview time..
Chris-n-VeronicaMaleMoldova2007-01-15 00:04:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCSC processing time :(

I read that Nebraska send their area's I-129F's to CSC. If so, maybe that is adding more and more time.

Texas AND Nebraska are sending the petitions to CSC now.....but that was before the holidays too.....
but yeah, i think they should hire more people, to get it quicker done :)

Mine took from the day It left my hands until my Approval NOA2 was 82 days... Take up a hobby :) LOL And timeline is fun to watch when the time is going short...but drives ya batty when some of those RFE people update their timeline.. and you gain 10 days over night... But avg. processing time is probably around 75-85 days...

So if we forget the holiday I had in my time I shipped mine off 9/14...I got my NOA2 12/5 you shipped yours 12/13 almost 3 months after me.... so counting...you should get yours around the first part of March...I know reality kicks.. but you'll get there as we all do...

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresMarry my Girlfriend in other country first?? Faster? Better?

As the timelines show....a K1 is faster then a K3 ..So it's best to bring the fiancee over on a Fiancee Visa..
Loop-hole ???? if there was one...it wouldn't be a loop-hole anymore because everyone would do it...so it would be a normal process...

No offense Chris but you have no idea how much different the process is in the DR than elswhere in the world. First of all, the K1 is NOT always faster and if he does this he may be very upset that he did. The wait just for an interview date in the DR is 20-24 months. That is not counting the wait at the USCIS which even in Vermont has been taking longer than usual. the days of one week approvals are gone.

The "loop hole" Kevin is talking about is one I recently found myself and I believe only in the case of the DR would it benefit anyone because of the long wait for an interview. The I-129F instructions state this:

The LIFE Act requires applicants to apply for a K-3 visa in the country where their marriage to the U.S. citizenpetitioner occurred. Petitioners should make sure to identify the appropriate consulate, in the same country where they married the alien for whom they are petitioning,in block 20 to avoid lengthy delays. In the event thepetitioner and alien were married in the United States, theyshould list the country of the alien's current residence. SeeU.S. Department of State regulations at 21 CFR 41.81.

In Kevin's case, if he marries his GF in a country that has a short processing time for K3 interviews, he will save not months, but YEARS of waiting. Listening to this advice could cost him those years. I sincerely hope he reads this before he sends in a K1 I-129F.

Take it from someone who recently waited 20 months for my spouse to get here nd runs a message board dedicated ONLY to DR immigration with 3 million hits per month, Kevin, you need to consider other options. I know you don't want to believe any of us when we tell you it will take 2 years, but trust me, we have had people who insisted they would somehow circumvent the system, and NONE of them have.

Yes I stand corected..to the point after it leaves the States...This is the Unknown varable I was trying to explain using the one source I did know and that was Manila... but then they are only about a 3 month wait... So yes you have alot more knowledge when it come to your Consulate... that is also the reason I kept insisting he look up the timelines for his consulate....

Thanks for your input...it all helps..!! and OMG 20-24 month wait....I'd be checking air fare rates... LOL

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresMarry my Girlfriend in other country first?? Faster? Better?

I live in the state of New York, so according to the I-129F form I just read it will be sent to Vermont. I dowloaded the form and I'm filling it out right now. I plan on sending it out in tomorrow's mail. It looks like I might catch a break on getting the documents timely to the consulate. However, I have heard nightmares that the Dominican Republic (where my love is from) is a high fraud country and has a huge backlog of K-1 Visa requests and it could take 1 1/2 - 2 years for the whole process. Talk about testing our love ;-) Obviously I'm willing to do this but faster is always better. But like you said if it were easy lawyers that do immigration would be out of business. But it always doesn't hurt to read good message boards like this one and a few others I found in my search this weekend and do some good reading of other folks experiences that might be similar to the journey I'm about to take on. Looks like a long ride....I better fasten my seatbelt and be very patient. I wish there were faster ways. But it looks like the K-1 is the way to go

You couldn't have found a better board for Visa help...the people are great!!! and there is always somebody here that has gone through your consulate.. Check the timelines for others that have use the same consulate...
Vermont is your first lucky break.. not always but I'd say 80-90% of the Vermont Approvals(NOA2) are done within 30 days..

Well you can always visit your fiancee as your job amd money lets you.....

Follow the guidelines about under "Guides" there are things you need to do before you file your I-129F like make copies...
and some people have got RFE's(Request for more evidence) if they didn't include the Fiancee's Birth Cert. also...I didn't do it and was ok...but some got a RFE and this seems to hold up the process by at least a month... best thing is to read the Guides above...for K-1 ...

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresMarry my Girlfriend in other country first?? Faster? Better?

I am a newbie on here so please bare with me on some of my questions. My proposed spouse is from the Dominican Republic. We definitely want to marry one another, but I want to make sure what ever we do, we do it correctly so I can ultimately get her here with me to the USA (New York). I am a US Citizen and born in the USA. She is Dominican (woman), never married before and has a child. She's 23 yrs, and I'm 33 yrs. We met during my visits from the US to the Dominican Republic, as I am a professional baseball agent to contracts business in the DR. One of my baseball players introduced me to her. We have fallen in love, and I want her to live/marry with me here in New York. She wants to come over first and then after she gets here, we'll petition for her son to come (he's 6 yrs old). I heard that the wait for K-1 or K-3 Visas for the Dominican Republic can be 1 1/2 to 2 yrs (possibly longer....wow!). BUT I also have heard that there may be a 'loop hole', if my girlfriend and I were to marry in ANOTHER country (that she can travel to without a visa) and then apply for the K-3 (or K-1), but I think it's the K-3 then I heard that the approval process could be ~6 months! Is there any truth to this?? Do you know what countries we can marry in? Is there any risks to not get approved if we do this (e.g. the consul we expect fraud or something)??

She currently has an appointment with the Consul on Feb. 7th for a non-immigrant Visitor Visa - but we were thinking of canceling this appointment, as we are concerned that they will not approve the visitors visa to the USA because they will be afraid she will never return to the Dominican Republic, even though she owns a car, owns her own Beauty Salon and successful business, and has significant funds in her bank account + not to mention she has a son in the DR to come back to. The thought is that because she is so young (only 23) that the consul may not even want to look at her evidence (Car Title, Business Ownership Proof, Bank Account balance, etc)? Should we cancel this appointment, as I'm worried that if she does get denied, it will hurt our chances of filing a K-1 and/or K-3 as we know this is a much longer wait? Currently she has never in her life applied for a Visa so I want to make sure that when we do it, we do it correctly.

Thanks in advance!

As the timelines show....a K1 is faster then a K3 ..So it's best to bring the fiancee over on a Fiancee Visa..
Loop-hole ???? if there was one...it wouldn't be a loop-hole anymore because everyone would do it...so it would be a normal process...Speaking of that... You need to get started...no matter what you do..the process takes time.. unless you live in a part of the country that lets you send the I-129F to Vermont..because generally they are faster but it's all a ####### shoot..
Figure this for your times.... if it goes to anyplace other then Vermont...
70-80 days for NOA2 Approval.. "Mine took 82 days"
Another 15-30 days to get through NVC and to your consulate.."Mine took 17 days"
Figure another 7 to 14 days for packet 3 "Mine took 15 days due to holidays"
Give yourself time to fill it out.. 7-14 days give or take.. "I'm working on mine..but I also have to wait for W2's"
Sending back 7 days...
Now here is where it gets weird..some consulates are fast in setting interviews within two weeks,,,Some like Manila take months.. So depending on your consulate..your interview can be as close as two weeks or as far out as 3 months..maybe more..
So as other will tell ya... Get your I-129F sent in...so you can get started on this Visa Journey...take up a hobby or two..find ways to talk to your fiancee often..I talk to mine twice a day...using either a phone card..or a another Co. that bills me monthly and I even use Yahoo messenger to talk to her.. and relax....

I'm trying to be as honest as I can here...there really isn't any short cuts.... if there was don't you think all these Attorneys would know it and be advertising it ?? .. It does build your love...with patients..understand...and strenght....
Good Luck!

I used to think USPS is the slowest gov agency, but I guess it's CSC now :) lol......

Mine is roughly a month before yours... I received mine NOA2 12/5 ..so we put yours at 1/5 but then you have to factor in the holidays as others have said.. And remember alot of these Gov. people take 4 day weekends for Xmas And New Years.. and then you had Thanksgiven..and Holloween.. ..Id's say your is about due... But know this...you'll most likely receive email or postal mail before they change the web site... mine still says being processed and it's at our Consulates..

Sorry for misunderstanding your initial question. I always heard stick to the facts and if they need you to elaborate, they will tell you to.

Here is what I wrote... and we were approved:

To Whom It May Concern: Date:_______________

Veronica and I met online on Matchdoctor.com in April of 2005 , I flew to her the first time April 19th 2006 and stayed 13 days and I proposed to her at that time. I visited the second time August 13th to the 27th 14 days
and started filling out the visa paperwork at that time.
All doc?s and pictures are included of the two visits..
Also I stayed in her family?s home both visits..to save cost on my trips.

Our goal is to try to have Veronica here for Christmas 2006 if possible. I love her so much and want her with me through the Holidays.

Thank you,

Veronica made a comment maybe I should put something in about Xmas..So I did..more to please her and make her smile then to really have it happen..I pretty much knew the timeline..
Well the Xmas thing didn't happen but we are now within a month of Veronica from being here...Now..

http://www.expedia.com
http://www.sidestep.com
http://www.travelocity.com

and Orbitz.com but they didn't fly out of Chisinau Moldova so I don't use them much....

These are the cheapist I've found... and the price includes the taxes and other fee's..not like some of the others..that try to fake you out with their low price until you see the finally price after taxes...

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWedding?

My wife and I tentatively planned for a mid september wedding and had to put it back until october. We didn't confirm dates at the venuee or with the photographer etc until I had my interview date but we didd all thee ground work. We tapped them all up and explained thee situation. Fortunately october isn't a busy wedding month (we still got married outside though - sunny but cold). She did most of the work as i was still in england but i helped out where i could. I found the rabbi (not easy to find aone that will do an interfaith marriage let alone on a saturday) but she di d almost everything else. I was always consulted and frrom that perspective was involved in the process.

Once I had the interview datee we were confident enough to book everything and it was a success. So we started planning in may 2006 (dress was sorted early, rings too) and i knew my interview date by the beginning of september so we still had 6 weeks to confirm everything for the mid october wedding.

It was aa very stressful time. Maybe getting a legal marriage when you are both here and then having a wedding later will give you the time to plan your dream wedding. No matter what you decide, planning a wedding is stressful even if you have 18 months to plan it.

After Offically Setting the Date... I can see money as a major problem as I'm the only one working..and I might have to get a short time loan from my sister just to get Veronica here...as the Consulate trip is going to cost a whole lot more then I planned... So I see us getting married soon after her arrival to meet the 90 days requirements(probably at the court house)..but remember it takes time for your mail to get to the Immigration..So you need to marry 60-75 days and give yourself 15-30 days to get everything mailed...So anyway I see a court house wedding...and then the Offical Reception later..maybe in April or May.. And then we can Redo our Vows..or just say some words to each other...

Yea...things change as reality sets in :).. but the main thing is your with your love...Your married..and your future couldn't look happier.. :)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresK-1 petition makes it to consulate!

Just thought I'd post for others to see the progress.....visa petition made it through NVC per my timeline, and Johannesburg consulate today confirmed my email inquiry that the petition package is ready to be picked up!!!!

Well this is the part that takes time too... But it's seems faster as you have things to do...keeping yourself working on the packet 3..etc..,
So good luck...and have fun...this part of the journey is nearing the end

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresThe Journey Begins.....

Hi everyone,

I'm nervous but excited! I have my packet ready to roll...I have to say I did I pretty good job (I hope :innocent: )

I should know this, but my mind is at a blank right now. I will be sending to the Vermont Service Center - to eventually be sent to Amman. What's the best route to send via postal service. (Certified, Signature Guaranteed, etc???).

I really appreciate your help.

thanks!

I sent mine Next Day Air... UPS signature required... make sure you use a check..it helps to get the receipt number sooner so you can view it on the internet..

Vermont...you already have a lucky break..as most of the time they are alot faster...... Good Luck on the rest of your journey..

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWe just "have to" share our joy with you :)
Congratulations!!!!!!!!! :energetic:

Hi everyone...

I love reading all good news on this site. Happy for everyone approved so far. I tried to create a signature... says it's too long. Tried to put it in Our Story section... too long.
Well... but I simply HAVE TO tell you all how happy Aaron and I are today!!! Please read on... :) :) :)

The most amazing 12 months so far:

8 Dec '05 or there around - first online exchange
15 Dec '05 - first phonecall
Christmas - "Would you like to come for a week holiday in Hawaii"?
26 Jan (Australia Day) - 2 Feb - a "no expectations" holiday in paradise
25 Feb - 10 Mar... my first visit to SF... by invitation!
12 Apr - 26 Apr (Easter holiday)... my second visit to SF: "Will you?"... "Yes" :)
16 June - 28 June - Aaron's first visit to Sydney
27 July - I129F filed with CSC
ASKED A LAWYER TO WORK WITH US - BIG MISTAKE... Had no knowledge of this site back then!!!
29 Sep - the dreaded RFE... just because we filed "only essential" docs, and falsely told (by the lawyer!) the rest would be needed at my interview
Next six weeks... we collect all she told us, email her... she was supposed to send it on. Ask her...call her... she was in court, she was busy, she was on holiday... then she stopped returning our calls all together
14 Nov - Aaron has Info Pass appt at SF Office, then mails copy of all we sent the lawyer to CSC, including letter telling them we want her taken off our case
22 Nov - I call Customer Service and ask if they got it (we had delivery confirm)... told to call in a week
23 Nov - TOUCHED :)
27 Nov - TOUCHED... without doing anything :)
28 Nov - I call again... asking if anything was happening with our case... I am told we sent it to "general mail PO Box", and was given exact address for RFE (we've never seen blue form)
29 Nov - TOUCHED :)
30 Nov - TOUCHED again... without doing anything :)
06 Dec - case updated: RFE reply received and processing has resumed
08 Dec '06 - case updated: Current Status: Approval notice sent

Now... how's that for a really great 12 months of our lives???
But, we've been praying and hoping... thank you, God!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI-134 1040

Eveyone here is so helpful.. after i get through this, i'll have to stay on and repay the favor to all those where i am now. anyways... the I-134 says self employed people need the 1040 taxes from the last couple years, but not employees. the instructions my fiance got seem to indicate that any sponsor on the i134 needs to show tax returns.... any insights??

Self employment... I think is 3 years of 1040's
Employee's it depends on the Consulate but ours was only the last year..which for us could've been 2005 or 2006.. I used 2006
Some consulates..want one year..some more years.. You need to check for your consulate.. Maybe under Embassy reviews or info on the link above...

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresphotos without date printed on them

Photos are secondary (visual ) evidence. Dates are no big deal. It is just to prove you met. All other evidence you turn in will have dates for verification (plane ticket, receipts, letters, phone records, etc.). Just make sure you make the packet look neat with dividers, index tabs, and all on a ACCO fastener. You'll do fine.

Dates are no big deal? Wanna read here?

From the VJ guides:

2.Color Photos of you and your fiance(e) together. Make sure you write your names, date, and location on the back of every photo. Provide two to five photo's. If you only have a single copy of the photo, then make a color copy and send that. If it is a digital photo, have it printed at a company such as ofoto.com. You can also make duplicates of photo's at your local photo store (Walgreeens, CVS, etc). Place photo's in a plastic bag or photo sheet and label the sheet. Note that you may not receive originals of photo's back.

Yea has something to do with having met within 2 years of filing  the other things mentioned is more about on going relationship...
Remember you have to prove you have met within the last two years and that the relationship is still on going

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresphotos without date printed on them
Mine where date stamped.. but I still put Names and which visit.. like Visit 1 April 2006 plus I made sure at least 2 pictures had a monument or some other landmark to prove I was in Moldova.. maybe not needed but it made me feel better that I'm covering more bases..or objections/RFE's

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWe passed NVC!!!!!

Congrats !!!!!

In about three days you can call them or like Monday...and they should have it.. Your lucky your SO is from Romania ..as that new transit visa law that came into effect Jan 2007 sucks... It's slowed us up 2 weeks or more..but it's ok..Veronica finally got the invitation letter today ..So she'll be getting the transit Visa next week....Which was one big worry...:)

Romania Consulate is very fast in the interviews...Once you send back packet 3 and they receive it..your interview will be about two weeks away... So you have a good chance at catching up with us on Veronica's flight here... She's leave around March 7th ..as I'll book the ticket two weeks in advance to save 300-$500.. plus they issue the visa that day..or the next morning..

Good Luck... if you need any help let me know...

Chris

PS

you probably know this.. but because they schedule the interview so quickly..You need to get started on the Police..and Marriage Cert. as they could take longer then a day...also I'm not sure..but with alittle extra money you can get it the sameday...
And you need to send your original I-129F and everything else...I-134...Employment letter...Bank letter.. 1040, wage stubs anymore proof of relationship you have gathered.....
I used DHL to send my stuff and it cost $144 for 3.5lbs I just wanted to be sure it got there..but then Moldova's mail system sucks too..maybe Romania's is better...
I've made and Callina has made a detail list from the Packet 3... just do a search also Callina did a Embassy Review..

Good Luck Again...
