Mexico, Latin & South America	I-864 for co-sponsor on K-1 visa?	Yeah, we'll do it since they asked for it.  It's just frustrating because I was hoping to have a job by the time we got to the AOS and be the only sponsor.  I wish my mom didn't have to do the I-864.  She's willing, thankfully, but I still wish she didn't have to.  And I still don't understand WHY.	kimbaljl	Female	Peru	2013-12-10 15:18:00

My fiance went for his interview today and got a 221g.  Some of the things we expected because the papers I sent him hadn't come in time, so we weren't surprised that they asked for the original I-134.  But the part that really surprised us is that they are asking for the I-864 from my mom, who is our co-sponsor.  (I don't have a job right now.)  I had previously emailed the embassy to clarify which form we needed, and they specifically had said we do NOT need the I-864, although I didn't specifically ask for the co-sponsor.  Why are they asking for the I-864?  It was my understanding that this is not needed until the AOS.  Why is it different for us?  Has anyone else experienced this?	kimbaljl	Female	Peru	2013-12-10 13:20:00
US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	What now?? Two days until the interview and no documents ...
