Hi! Do you know someone that in the embassy interview his/her visa was denied????????

Or someone that their papers were approved in the USA and then they didnt approve it in the embassy?

one i found:
http://www.visajourn...howtopic=197651

you might also check the regional forum for peru, there is this thread for people in peru

http://www.visajourn...showtopic=17760

Thanks!!
I just read them but it doesnt say anything about that.

the reason im asking is because a lot of people tell me that i just need to worried about the decision in the USA and not here...that the interview is a simple procedure to say at the end.....so I will have my visa no matter what, but I dont know. that's why im asking if someone know somebody that in the US approve their case and then not in the embassy.

for approval in the us and disapproved at the embassy, you could check mena.
http://www.visajourn...hp?showforum=97
but unlikely that you'd find anything in there pertinent to peru.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresEntering on B1/B2 and getting married
QUOTE (Benika @ Sep 24 2008, 11:07 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
When I first started research on getting married to an American Citizen I thought about just coming to America, getting married and dealing with the fallout later. The possible repercussions made us decide against. The more I read online though the more it seems that this is an option that has worked for a lot of people.

Somehow I can’t find many details about people getting banned from the country or even send back to their own countries while the process is underway. Although the actual process seem to take a long time, most people get a work visa while the process is underway so really they are together in America and the new person can work in America ... what is the problem?

Does anyone know any different?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresRETURN TO SENDER
QUOTE (Spoom @ Aug 12 2009, 11:39 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
'He' (be honest, is this you?) signed an affidavit certifying that she would not become a public charge, and that he would repay any support given that was not exempted (by, for example, the Food Stamps Act). Likely this will not become an issue if the person leaves the country or is unable to find reason to stay. However, if the person does stay and later becomes a public charge, the petitioner would be liable. It is a contract, after all.

---snip-----

Second, while I'm not supposed to judge, the petitioner has no right to "send her back". What she does is up to her. The only thing the petitioner can do is stop supporting her and cease supporting her adjustment of status; that said, as you mentioned, there is an affidavit of support in play. She could find a way to stay in the United States by being granted a waiver on the marriage requirement to adjust status; that said, such a waiver on a K-1 is exceptionally rare as I understand it. I just don't like the tone of the OP here. The alien fiancee is not "goods to be shipped back". She is a human being. 'He' does not own her.

the affidavit the op referred to is the i-134 used at the consulate/embassy level and isn't enforceable. they are not married yet, so there is no aos paperwork to support.

Wasn't there a thread about this a few months back? Specifically stating that, yes, immigration can (and has on occassion) check out Facebook and MySpace pages to verify the authenticity of a relationship.

Not to say that it happens to everyone, but I remember a discussion reporting that it has begun to happen on occassion and that it is part of the terms of use that gives access of these sites that to the government even if they aren't your "friend".
I would believe Diadromous Mermaid (see the earlier thread) over those here who would gainsay her simply because of their own wishful thinking. I further consider it completely feasible that the consulates might, and would, scope any available posted information. It is very disturbing that any VJ poster would flatly say "no governmental entity is doing something" when no VJ poster can possibly have such insider knowledge, unless he/she is indeed an insider. It is prudent to take every precaution to protect ourselves by ensuring that information "out there" is accurate when accuracy could count.

quite true, si man. and those new to the site might be thoughtful about what they post on vj too.

The only thing I would recommend is finishing the vaccines in Thailand, they will be cheaper. You will still need to get the DS2035 transferred to the I693, but you can do that through Dr. Arnold (Info in the AOS Forum). I had a CS here in Vegas transfer my Vaccinations for free.

I had all my paperwork filled out and ready to go, except for the questions we had to answer when we got here (Wedding Date, etc). You should have everything translated already, so just make sure to get acopy of your packet from the lawyer, and you should be good to go.

We're approved!!! Thanti just called me -- I just got off the phone with her. kicking.gif kicking.gif kicking.gif

She got there an hour early. When they first called her up, they asked her for the post-office receipt of payment. She told them that she had included the original receipt from the post office in the Packet-3 response. They said they didn't have it. She said she had a photocopy of it. They said that wasn't good enough, she should go to the post office and get a duplicate receipt and come back on Mon or Wed. She said, ok, can she go out and still bring it today (Monday)? They said yes. However they told her to have a seat, and meanwhile they came back and "found" our Packet 3 envelope with the missing receipt. Huh????? #######???? Anyway, with that straightened out, she was #8 in line, had a quick interview with the female CO, the usual questions about how did we meet? When? When was my last trip to Thailand? Why had I not visited Thailand during 2009? Did she know I was divorced? How many kids do I have? Did we travel together in Thailand? All easy to answer questions, no complications whatsoever.

She got the white slip, and was told to pick up the visa on Wed July 1st.
She's flying out Thursday night and I'll pick her up at O'Hare on Friday morning, in time for the long weekend!!

sometimes the forms were written by lawyers so you need a lawyer to decode it.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresTS Clearance & K-1

It is true the SBI was for a project to be deployed in the mid east and the SBI terms were specific about NOT allowing people that were jewish to work on the project. Even if it is offensive to the US that was what the partner country considered mandatory to the security of the project.

that may have been part of the contract details, not part of the sbi itself.
charles!MaleBrazil2011-07-17 11:57:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresTS Clearance & K-1

I am using what I knwo from years of actual experience. They do especially on SBI programs impose all sorts of restrictions that have little to do with actual outside travel. Also if you hold an upper level clearance you will find travel problematic to a lot of countries. Get a clearance and visiting the inlaws will be questioned.

travel restrictions to certain countries do exist. usually they are communist countries or just flat unsafe for someone to visit.
visiting inlaws isn't an issue unless it's in a country with travel restrictions. if not one of those, just notify one's security office about the planned trip, get a travel briefing before going (if required) and do the mandatory debriefing upon return. and keep track of the trip dates for any bring ups in the future.
charles!MaleBrazil2011-07-17 11:24:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresTS Clearance & K-1

I have held various level for over 30 years straight. Having a foreign spouse especially from a less than former best friend country makes it difficult and the SBI could just make it an impossibility. Most companies are smart enough to submit the most apt to be cleared person before then less than clean one. The SBI counld have very specific country restrictions. I have seems SBI's prohibit people of the jewish faith and people from specific countries. Just because you foudn some post on the internet does not make you an expect on anything.

i've held a sbi for 30+ years, btw, so i do have some experience on this subject...

having a foreign spouse used to be a no-go. it was an automatic disqualification to hold that level of clearance. however, things have changed.
the op asked about holding the job and clearance prior to marriage - just like i went through. as long as one keeps the security people informed, there's a good chance he'll retain that clearance as he's not trying to hide anything. example: i went through a bring up investigation while married to a foreign national several years ago with no problems.
i've never heard about the sbi having country specific restrictions. it does investigate the individual's loyalty to the us, taking into account foreign contacts/connections to another country. it also takes into account the spouse, whether he or she has questionable contacts/connections, questionable history, background, etc, along with his or her immediate family.
lastly, to toss out that it prohibits people of a specific religion is untrue and offensive.
