IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	LOVE STORY brendan and claudia <3	So this is my story,   I'm from panama, one day I decided to go on this crazy journey called AU PAIR by CULTURAL CARE "they don't really care at all" and signed up for the program which it's about cultural exchange and studying and of course work as a nanny 10 hrs or more a day. well just to understand my story I moved to use with a j1 visa, I had an amazing year with this american family who thanks GOD treated me like their own daughter, well at the end of my first year I thought of staying and extending my visa for one more year (as an au pair with a j1 visa you can deff extend for 1 more year and I DID well Im happy I did cause on November 2011 I met the man of my life... <3 After ignoring him for almost a month I gave him a chance and we met and OMG THANK GOD I GAVE HIM A CHANCE CAUSE IF NOT I WOULD HAVE MISSED ONE OF A KIND LOVER AND GENTLEMAN!   we started to date and everything was going right.. but guess what it was time to go home for me and we didn't want to separate!! we didn't talk a lot about me going away cause we didn't want to get all sad, we dated for a lil while and we had fun times and well the time went by fast  till one day i went over his apt. and we watched this amazing and sad movie about a cple from diff countries dating and GOD it got us we both started to cry and decided to talk! at this point i never thought he was gonna ask me to get married anyways at first we didn't even think it was gonna be a serious thing but with the time we got involved  and well one JULY 18TH he proposed yes he did in a car haha I give him credit he took me to the beach first but I did;nt even imagine he was gonna propose since i waited for so long haha ! well after the beach we got stuck in traffic in I think its 1-95s and we were singing and being lovely when he started to tell me that he loves me and he won't let me go and blahblah and voila he proposed I was in shock!!!!! I actually said yes an ya after that well i can say this was one of my best decisions i ever made !! we r so in love.. but there is a big problem we live in different places since on augus2012t he told me to move together to my country panama and things didn't go good for us with work down here so we decided to move to us again...    WE FILLED OUR PAPERWORK AND SENT IT ON MARCH WE GOT OUR NOA1 AND WE STILL WAITING FOR OUR NOA2 which I think its gonna take a while cause we r applying for this visa and we married just 7 months ago.  i LOVE HIM AND MISS HIM SO MUCH... AND I just wanna give you guys and advice!! DON'T EVER SEPARATE FROM THE ONE YOU LOVE THINK BEFORE YOU TAKE A DECISION AND MAKE THINGS RIGHT ! Soon it will be may and june filers getting approved before us. Idiots, no one knows how completely useless, lazy, and badly-run the USCIS is! And no one understands that we have the worst immigration system in the world! If my wife was from a developed country I would never even think about bringing her to this rotting cesspool we call America! Seriously I have no idea why someone married to a German, Canadian, or British citizen would want to bring their spouses to live here, this country sucks. If I could get work over there I would move in 1 second and never come back.  I hate it so much when people ask me "You got married? Why didn't she come back with you to the States?" But they give you the new email to send it to. I'd send an inquiry to both, at least until they decide to update their website information. I sent it to this email address about a week ago, so it must be a change that happened within the past few days. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - March 2014	I didn't put N/A in 1-6, just left it blank.  Wonder if I'll get a checklist for that?  Maybe I should call and see and send in another I864 real quick... *sigh*  these people are so weird! if you read the form's instructions on USCIS website they clearly state that you have to left in blank what does not apply or none but I guess they haven't updated i think is better to state N/A OR NONE because if you forgot to fill a space then they wouldn't know so it makes a lil sense when I fill mine I will write none and n/a in the case it doesn't apply !! Part 2 is all beneficiary. They have state and zip code because the form is used for multiple visas, it can be filled for adjustment of status where beneficiary is in US. Put N/A in state and zip code. Fill up the PIN code and Province/Sate. oh woww thanks I appreciate it ! I was like what    that makes sense now!! I received via email AOS checklist yesterday and I just came across I-864EZ, i was wondering if I can submit this instead of the I864? I make well above the poverty guidelines but filed taxes jointly. So, in Part 18, My current individual income--should I answer what reflects in my W2? or the adjusted gross income filed in form 1040? Also, do I have to resubmit all evidence again?   Lastly, my father was on a working visa to work in Saudi Arabia for 2003-2006 and Qatar from 2006-2008. Does this mean I have to obtain Qatar police certificate before submitting IV documents or can my father just provide this on the day of the interview? IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - March 2014	Can Saylin or someone else please answer my question on tax return?   My wife went who is a US citizen went to tax firm to get her taxes done. She was going to file "Married - Filing separately" so we don't have to get ITIN number for me. But at tax firm they told her she will need to file W7 and apply for ITIN even if she files married but filing separately since it won't allow them to proceed with her return w/o my ss number.   She hasn't sent her return yet, but my question is do we really have to apply for ITIN number even if she wants to file married filing separately? or can we just write NRA by hand on her tax return and send it? I am afraid I won't get my certified copy of passport before tax return is due. hmm this is weird Ik this is not helpful but if u read Saylin's guide it clearly says MFS s the easiest because u don't have to fill a w7 since she's not claiming u and u are a non resident alien \ here I copy wat the guide says ! my husband filled as singles because he thought it was right since i wasn't there (NO SENSE BUT U KNO HOW MEN ARE stubborn) and now he has to amend it     Filing MFS will probably be the easiest for most people as it doesn't require any extra documents from the foreign spouse, nor does it require their signature. On the tax return, where it asks for the spouse's SSN, you would put 'NRA' for Non-Resident Alien. Continue filling out the rest of the return as normal. That is all you have to do. (And if desired, once the spouse has immigrated to the US and has obtained a SSN, the petitioner can then amend their tax return to MFJ, to possibly get a bigger refund, but this isn't required.) Filing MFJ will typically mean a bigger refund up front, with no need to amend. This route takes a little more work though as the beneficiary will have to fill out a W7 (available on the IRS site), which requires a signature, and include document(s), so they can obtain a ITIN (it's like a SSN, but for the sole purpose of filing taxes, and is available for those not currently living in the US). This would then be included with the tax return, and sent to a special address for ITIN generation. For most countries, it may be hard to get the needed documents. (For Canada, it was uber easy, and this is how my husband did his taxes while I was still in Canada, waiting for my interview). The only thing a person would have to get is if they do have a record they would need to provide court documents. I been searching all over google how do I get a report but everyone of them says I need to be present that makes no sense :/ also there is one from the FBI and it says I should go to a police department to get my finger prints taken ! I am confuse I just started on this but i want to get things done because not been able to get a police record from U.S.A while Im here could delay my case ! Start by reading Saylin's wiki on the NVC process, fill up the form asking her to add you in her NVC filers spreadsheet, the links to both are given in her signature. I think among the March filers, it took you the longest to get an approval.
