K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresNOA2 Arrived!!!!!!!!
I got my NOA2 today in the e-mail!!!!

Now, I am a little confusted about he further process. Do I just gather the financial information and send it to my fiance together with the initial F129 Packet?

Can I do it right away, or I have to wait for something else from the USCIS?

Can he begin to gather his documents now, or he should receive something else, first? Please, help! What do we do now? I don't want to loose any time!

Thank you!

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionFinancial Documentation questions
I have several questions regarding gathering finanical supporting evidance:

1) Do I need to send my W2 tax return forms if I am not self-employed or the letter from the employer will be enough?
2) My co-sponsor is self-employed, so, he needs to send his taxes, pay stubs and a letter from the bank. Is that right?

Please, correct me if I am wrong. I am confused on the taxes portion. What evidance do I exactly send, what form, if I do, at all.

Thank you

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionPlease, help! Urgent.

Send copies. Technically they can request that the originals of any copy submitted be available at interview, so perhaps ensure that the foreign fiance(e) has them at that time.

I sent copies when I filed for K1. Now I am approved, and my dillemma is whether to send the originals to my fiance so he has it at the interview, or keep them in case the copies will get lost and I can make other copies.

Please, help!

When sending a copy of an original I-129F to a fiance, do I need to send originals of the supporting evidence (tickets, hotel receipts, etc.), or copies will suffy?

I am afraid that they will get lost in mail and then I won't have the originals. Whoever filed for a fiance in Ukraine or knows the answer to this, I will appreciate your help.

Or, can you notarize the copies of evidence? It sounds funny to me, I don't know if it's possible.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionForeign Embassy Question

I didn't know that you can e-mail the embassy with the request for packet #3. Do you know who should do this, my fiance, or myself? He should be the one receiving the packet 3, right?

Either of you can e-mail and ask for it. In our case, I e-mailed and asked for packet 3 to be sent to me via e-mail AND mailed to my fiance's mailing address as written on the petition. They had no problem with this at all. Just be sure you include your case number and A# in the e-mail so they know how to reference your case.

Good luck!

I just found this post and fired of a email to the Moscow Embassy...I sure hope the reply. I called on the 25th and they had not gotten our approved petiton yet. Sicne Ive sent 4 emails including this one and no reply yet. Im going to call again this morning to see if it has arrived. Im keeping my fingers crossed as well as my fiancee.
Thanks for the info!

I e-mailed Ukrainian Embassy at Kiev yesterday (the 30st of May) and they replyed today, informing me that our case was approved, Packet #3 was sent to my fiance on May 25th and that I should feel free to ask them any questions I have. :)

Thank you, guys, for the info.

And I hope that Moscow Embassy will work as fast as the one in Kiev. :)

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionForeign Embassy Question
Hello, all!

Is there anyway to know if the foreign embassy has received your case?

Mine is at Kiev, Ukraine.

How long does it usually takes for it to go through the mailing ordeal from NVC? Are there a lot of cases when the paperwork was lost?

Sorry, I know, I ask too many questions. So far, this site has been a great help for me! Thank you all!

Thank you.

We just received an e-mail from embassy in Kiev with the interview date on June 20 at 9:00 am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As you can see from my timeline, my fiance requested an interview just this Friday and they scheduled it in less then two weeks!

I am overjoyed, but can this be real, or they will realize that they have made a mistake????

Anybody had this happen? I am sure nervous now! I was so worried that I might be part of the IMBRA.
Praise God! He leads us all along the way and without bumps, so far! I keep praying everything will go smoothly from now on.

Hi!

I am new here and I hope for your help. When filling out an I-129 F and G-325A can I type all the information in and HAND WRITE the part where it asks for the fiancé’s address aboard in the native alphabet? His address is in Cyrillic. Has anyone encountered this problem before? Will this kind of inconsistency be a problem?

We are just at the beginning of the process and I am very nervous.

Thank you for your help!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI-129F Expires?
Hi!

I have a very silly question (probably). On a new I-129F form (here on this site) it says "Expires 11/30/04" on the top. What does that mean? Does it mean that I cannot submit it?

Please help!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresSupporting evidence question
I have a double citizenship (U.S.A.) and Russian. I went to Ukraine to visit my fiance and used my Russian passport for entry to avoid filing for visa. As far as I know it is legal.

Now the question is: Can I use the stamps in my Russian passport as an evidence of visiting my fiance? My U.S. passport doesn't have any stemps from the visits since they do not stamp passports anymore upon the entry into the United States after the trip. Will they question my double citizenship? Do you think I should submit the copies as an evidence, or I better not to include it in the packet?

Anybody had this problem?

Thank you very much.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresOriginals or Copies?
I have several questions regarding further steps after NOA2.

1) Do I need to send the originals of the supporting evidance (letters, ticket stubs, hotel receipts?) to my fiance, or copies will suffy?

2) What about NOA1 and NOA2? Do I have to send an originals, or it can be copies? I am thinking, what if the packet will get lost in the mail and then I won't have the originals...

Another question.

Do I have to wait for something else from Nebraska (except my NOA2) as a cue to send all the required documents to my fiance, or I can just send them in as soon as they are ready?

I received the notice from NVC today (dated May 19, 2006)! :)

Things are moving along!

But on the NVC's notice they misspelled my fiance's name. It's minor, they omitted one letter from his first name and on the NOA2 it was spelled right. I don't suppose it should be a problem, but does anyone knows if I am in a potential trouble because of this?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCan my fiance get a work authorisation permit at the POE?
Hello, All!

First of all, thanks to all, who already helped us very much in our journey. Right now, I have another question that I heard controversial views about. I hope that someone here will be able to clarify this for me.

My fiance is entering U.S. with the K1 visa. Can he legaly get an authorization to work right away (while waiting for the status adjustement)? I heard that legaly he can get a stamp in his passport at the POE that will allow him to work for the first 90 days, while waiting for the status adjustement.

Is this ture? If yes, is there a link with the document that will state this right?

Thank you very much for your help!!!!

PhilippinesQUESTION
--TYPOS' CORRECTED--

I am asking this question for a co-worker.

She is worried about a relative who wanted to marry a filipina. Her relative (let's pretend his name is Homer) is originally from Guam hence legally a US citizen. The filipina (I'll name her Katie) I'm assuming has been living in USA for more than 5 years. Katie and Homer have a kid together who's about a year old now. They decided to get married but Katie wanted to do it in the Philippines because most of her relatives are there. By the way, Katie is legally married to a filipino in the Philippines but they didn't have any kids together.

Now here's where the concern started. My co-worker had seen a documentary on TV about a dude from London who was imprisoned in the Philippines, for 5 years, for adultery. The dude went to the Philippines to meet a filipina. This filipina is actually married to a filipino when she hook up with the dude from London. The dude didn't know about it. After his stay in the Philippines, he posted pictures of him with the filipina in facebook. The filipina's husband found out about the pictures and to make matters worst, after a couple or few months the filipina found out she's pregnant with the other dude's kid. The husband filed for adultery.

According to the documentary, by law the kid is legally the husband's kid (although not biologically) since the filipina is still married to him when the affair happened.

The main concern is pretty apparent. Homer doesn't want to go to jail. They wanted to take their kid with them to the Philippines but didn't want to have any problems should husband in the Phillippines file for anything. I told my co-worker that divorce is not legal in the Philippines. And that there's only annulment which could be expensive.

Answers (legal or not) are really appreciated. Thanks!
