Philippines	Philippines--CFO and GC Certificate and Visa sticker	I agree....don't book the flight until she has her Visa in hand...you never know what will happen !!!   I was very tempted to book my Honey's flight last week, all she had left to do was get her passport and take the CFO class.....now !!!......her passport and Visa are stuck in the US Embassy because of the flooding and the CFO is closed....   Who knows how long now it will take....I almost booked her flight for this coming Friday because it was a really good price....   Don't do it !!!!.....you are risking a lot of $$$$ plus a hugh disappointment ....   I know it is hard to wait.....believe me, I know.....and so does my Honey !!!   cjmc	cjmc	Male	Philippines	2013-08-19 13:03:00

Philippines	Japan Airlines on Transit Visa	My flight is on Sept 2. MNL-NRT-ORD (Manila-Narita-Chicago)I have a 4-hour lay over in Japan. Who among here have flown/will fly through Japan Airlines? I was shocked your flight is like just a couple of days right after you got your visa! Yay I can't do that hehe. My flight is Sept 1 I know I waited long after getting my visa but the thing is I pack real slow!! Have a safe flight girl!!   Hopefully, Dahlia will be finished with her class in another 45 min or so..... :-)   I booked her flight once I knew we had control over her Visa and passport...we actually had a friend in Manila go and pick it up for us Thursday night after Dahlia received the text from 2GO that it was ready for pickup.   Then we had to verify that CFO was open on Friday and then figure out how to get her down to Manila for early Friday morning....we made it happen !!!!   I then decided I could book her flight...and thanks to Expedia.com, they had a flight out on Saturday that would work..... :-)   Our wedding is planned for Sept 28th so having her here in Seattle soon is very important......   What a Journey !!!   Will update as soon as I hear from her....   Cheers,   Curt	cjmc	Male	Philippines	2013-08-22 22:24:00

There is a gate in Taiwan airport where she can wait and charge all her devices since all the seats have the outlets under. CEAC Status - ISSUED	Now that Dahlia has access to her passport, she will travel from Angles City to Manila real early Friday morning, will pick up her passport and Visa from our friend and then go right to the CFO for her class and get her stamp.....yehhhhh !!! almost done :-)   So now, I was just able to book her flight....through Expedia, flying  with EVA Air from Manila to Seattle for $ 1,002.70 including all the taxes....on such short notice, that was a real deal. I found that trying to book direct with the airlines that flying on that day would be closer to $2,000... Wow !!!   She will stay in Manila Friday night and fly out of Manila at 12:45 PM on Saturday and arrives in Seattle Saturday evening at 7:10 PM. Philippines	Help in Airline Deals	I just found out that if I booked direct with EVA Air, then the requirement when checking in with a ticket purchased by someone else is different than if you have booked through a travel agency.   If booked through a travel agency, online...etc, they only require your regular passport and ID for checkin that matches your ticket information.   If booked direct with the airline, it looks like you would have to prearrange permission from the airline or the person could be denied passage at the airport.   Best to check with your airline to make sure what their requirements are.   Cheers,   cjmc	cjmc	Male	Philippines	2013-08-22 14:08:00

I was too tired to do updates...but here it goes. 1:40 PM PST Took off from LAX for JFK...expect stretches of turbulence... 9:40 PM EST Arrived in JFK Delta terminal 4...if you have huge bags prepare to cough up $5.00 for you to use a cart from the "vendo". The machine accepts $10 and credit cards. Also its hard to find a free wifi spot to communicate and coordinate pick up so you may need to use coins for the payphone. I learned the hard way that it only acceps 5, 10 and 25 cents and what I have are 50 cents ton1.00 coin. Good thing my wife and our daughter found me... whew...was sooo dead tired from this but well worth the experience...     Glad you made it ok !!! I usually get there like 230pm and then my flight leaves at 630 and I usually arrive in NY like 10pm. CFO done & 24 off to SeaTac,WA	Dahlia is about to get up now from a short sleep to start her long journey to the US....:-)   First, off to the airport, pay her exit tax, then check in at EVA Air for her flight, then through immigration, pay her airport tax then off to the gate...   She will fly to Taipei with an 8 hr layover...free wifi, good food....not to bad, then off to Seattle...she will arrive Saturday night Seattle time.    I am so excited to finally have her here......there will be lots of changes for both of us, adjusting to life together..... :-)   We will continue to post and help others, as everyday, new people are showing up to start their own journey.   Time to "Pay It Forward"   Cheers,   cjmc Nice to meet you sis.. I will be flying my fiancee into SEATAC as well,,,what airline did you choose? I am thinking about going with ANA   I was able to purchase a one-way on very short notice (only 2 days) from Expedia.com for $1,002 with EVA Air...all the airlines are good....I have flown with most of them...for me it is just about price and how long the trip will take. I wish my fiance and I are as lucky as you. i'm gonna be so happy if we can do everything within 6 months. btw, did you guys hire a lawyer? care to share some tips on how you were able to get approved a little over 6 months?   Yes, tips.....read, read, read....this site and with the help of Hank and others will help you to not.....!!! make mistakes...all the information is here and it is great to interact with others that are on the same path.   I was very detailed with all my paperwork, went over and over it to make sure there were no mistakes, and I found lots.....   Read, and ask questions !!!   Good luck to you :-)   cjmc	cjmc	Male	Philippines	2013-08-23 14:17:00
