it's your case number. but maybe you don't have it yet cos you get your LND case number on the letter that accompanies your Packet 3. Do you have a case number from the USCIS

Ohhhhh It's the case number.

Yes, Stacie said that we have a case number. Thanks for your reply!

Yes they will send you out packet 3 when they receive your info from the NVC or you could call them , but it is very expensive or email them to ask. Do you have your LND#?

LND# ??? I checked all the abbreviations in...... http://www.visajourn...page=definition ......
but could not see LND.
Please advise. TA!

Hi All,
Can anyone advise us, as to how we get a date for 'Embassy Received". Do we get a tracking number or something from NVC or do we contact Embassy direct?

Thanks In Advance......Stephen & Stacie X

United KingdomPacket 3 versus checklist - time till interview....
Funnily enough...I was just analysing (On the visa timelines) days between Packet 3 Sent and interview date, for London Embassy Only.
In March it was around 40 Days average, however for April it's come down to around 35 Days! Which is great, so get ready I guess and good luck.

By the way...You haven't filled any of your official timeline. Which is valuable to other members like ourselves, in getting the latest information on ALL cases.

My son only had the once over with regards to weight, height, etc. He found it absolutely hilarious that the doctor asked him to flash his winkle quickly just to establish he is a boy. rofl.gif He was confused as I have to keep telling him to put it away at home when he runs out the bath naked.

Had to take my xray twice wacko.gif Was worried they found something. They had. They found my large boobs had got in the way. so he had to redo them. whistling.gif

Congrats Friend!
Stacie and I are always running around with our 'Winkles' out so I don't feel like that'll be a problem. However I'm concerned about your statement that the Doctor had to "Redo them"!! Does this mean your Xray or your Boobs....ie Did you just get a free ####### Job courtesey of the USCIS? If so are they bigger or smaller.
I'm hoping it's bigger, because then If my 'Winkle' gets in the way....Stacie will REALLY, REALLY be looking forward to seeing me soon.........x

United KingdomEstimated time from packet 3 to interview notification

If you really must, for the price of a phone call to Washington DC you can harrass, I mean call and ask nicely blush.gif , the Department of State and ask if a date has been assigned yet. The number is +1 202 663 1225; when it picks up, press 1, then 0 to speak to a visa specialist. Have your case number ready (it starts LND2008). I wouldn't call more than once a day, more for your own sanity than anything else!

CHEAPEN THAT CALL! If you predial 0844 861 90 90.....You get routed through a company called Telediscount. Your call then only costs 1 Penny a minute. This works for ANY call to the USA.

Hello~

Just curious how long does it take from when the embassy receives the packet 3 to when you are notified of the interview date. Do they send it back as part of packet 4? It just seems as if the closer to the end the longer it seems to be taking! Scott already had his medical and all we are waiting for is his interview.

Thanks for reading!
Micki

Hi Micki,
We sympathise with you. I check the Timelines everyday. We are also expecting our Packet 4 any day. Watching the Postman come and go each morning with no news is a Bummer!
Especially for you when you see that someone (Linda & Chad) who sent their Packet 3, 3 Days after you, received their Packet 4 on the 15th! With an interview date for the 10th June.
I find the lack of order really frustrating. It makes you wonder whether there is ANY sort of system at all.
Anyway, On the bright side....You and I MUST BE CLOSE......Musn't We??????????

United KingdomWhy USA and not UK?
We've chosen the US because my children's father is here, they're 14, 12, and 5. I would love to live in the UK. For now we'll have to settle with visiting wacko.gif Also the housing costs are so much higher in the UK. Stephen sold his flat in London--it was worth a 5 bedroom home here in Ohio--I couldn't believe it!

United KingdomACPO or local police station certificate
Hi Team Walsh,
Just to let you know. I was given the apco web address by my local police station. They said that this was the new procedure for specific countries immigration policies (Including the USA andd Australia).
I downloaded the application form. Sent it off last Saturday and received the completed Certificate this morning....Pretty Quick eh?

Best Wishes S&S x

Where do I get this to fill out and get notarized? Can I get this online?

Hi, I'm doing the same thing as you are, the I-134, yes you can download this from the VisaFAQ tab on this site. Banks and the BMV have notaries that can notarize documents at a minimal fee.
Best of Luck and God Bless!

Can't you also use HIS financial situation? If he has a job offer, or has assets then don't they take those into account? I've got details of investments, savings and a valuation on my house from an estate agent just in case I need to show it.

Yes, thanks friend. I have sold a property in the UK and am planning on using this fnance as evidence to get us through both Affidavits...(Hopefully). At least through the K1 interview for now.

ok, so here I am single mom of three having come out of a terrible marriage of 13 years, only to find the most wonderful, caring, understanding (SEXY) man ever. I'm patiently waiting to become his wife. What scares me though is that I don't know that our government will accept me as a supporter for my fiance. Yes I have a job, but I do receive assistance from the state (I'm a single mom!) Does anyone know how this will affect our case? Has anyone been through a similar situation?

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionLONDON EMBASSY - ELECTRONICs FREE ZONE
Hi Ya All

I had a successful 9:00 am interview yesterday - 'Approved'

So 2 Little Tips for all you London Bound Folk.

1. Don't walk away and leave your Very Large Brown envelope containing your X-Ray, in the Embassy....DOH!

2. The Embassy called me last Friday and said that they would REFUSE ENTRY to me if I was carrying electronics. So you'll need to use a Left Luggage locker at a Train Station, or some other cunning plan. There is a local Chemists (Pharmacy for all you Yanks reading this.....LOL) that will store your things for a Fee of 10 English Pounds (That's 20 BUCKS). Which is a F***ing Rip Off (No Translation Required) if you ask me.

Anyway...I digress. Interview was just fine and dandy. Thanks to all of you who wrote very detailed reports about your experiences. These really helped so check 'em out under the 'Embassy Info' Tab.
Thanks to all of you for your continued support and encouragement. Good luck with yours....And no doub will see you real soon in the AOS Forum.

Feel free to write me with any questions.

Hoping to Fly by the Weekend. Oh AND Happy Independence Day to us all......

(That's the 4th of July to all Us Brits!......LOL)

I did not see a thread yet started for November Filers. I just wanted to say hello and hopefully our process is swift.
I sent in my I-129F (K-1) today Nov. 5, 2007. I've been lurking on this site now for a few months and it is a great resource and community.

Don't see many friends from the UK on this thread (except Debbylynn) So here we are! Aren't you pleased?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresVermont Processing in 2-3 months???
Oh How the worm has turned.....
Just be glad you are with Vermont and not California. I went through this process back in 2003. Our application was with Vermont then. It was THE SLOWEST in fact and was snowed under. At that time they started moving peoples applications from Vermont to relieve the pressure. I can only assume that ove the years they have kept doing this to the point of saturating CSC, who are now handling our case. (How come I always get in the wrong line! LOL)

As a point of interest for all of you. Be grateful that at least you know WHO is handling your case. My original application was mailed to the BCIS who then changed their name to the CIS who then finally settled on USCIS. What a total waste of time and money that was....No wonder the fees have gone up so much.

Let's all pray you get your 2nd NOA soon. Good Luck

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresTouched?
The whole touching thing just confuses us.......
Our I129F hasn't been touched since the 27th December (Probably got knocked under a scanner at a drunken Xmas party), although we already received our NOA2 approval.........

Stranger still one of my old accounts.."On June 20, 2005, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I131 APPLICATION FOR USCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service" was touched on the 22nd Decmeber 2007

It must have been one hell of a Party.......Or are they watchng me? LOL

This is not unusual - many of us are lazy, many of us don't like reading/writing/arithmetic, many of us hate paperwork of any kind, so you doing it for him is perfectly normal - in any relationship one who likes to do certain things or is good at doing certain things - takes over those things e.g. most men like to grill and do woodwork; most women like to shop and shop laughing.gif Good Luck

Hey I'm A Man and I LIKE TO SHOP!

Why only yesterday I bought a lovely new grill. A reciprocating saw and 20 Feet Of Swedish Pine! LOL
