how long take from the beginning to the end of the green card?

it usually depends on how lucky u are! it can take up to one year or 2. it really depends on how fast u get the NOA2 and than the wedding and submitting the paperwork for AOS...is hard to give a real period of time. but is a lot to go though ...a lot of nerves and waiting

hello everyone!
me and my fiance are waiting now for 5 months on our K1 visa. so we hope soon we will get approved.
so we try to prepare everything for the embassy interview. i was wondering does anyone has any idea what the consular is looking up at the affidavit of support and all those paperwork for financial support? is it just for the sponsor to have enough money meaning to have more than poverty line?
i ask this because my boyfriend paid all his taxes to gov but he still has some phone bills to pay all together around 1000$. do u think that can be a reason for a waiver?

peace of mind

as i sit here and await possible RFE or noa2, im cuious and nervous about the embassy interview and reasons they could say no. what im exppectedto say in interview

im also thinking on my trips to london for medical andembassy interview. is the medical done in a day and the interview a few weeks later? how much time should i book at the hotel

When you get your NOA2. But you could get your passport photo taken and make plans for who is going to sign it for you. And you could be getting your immunizations sorted.

my issue is

About a year or so ago i had an issue with the police.

While working in shop i bought alcohol off someone that came in, i left it in the shop while i went for lunch and in that time the please was searched by customs

turns out two of the bottles were actually fake and hadnt had customs paid.

the local city council guy gave me a letter saying i was warned about this issue, i had to sign it

in the UK a caution isnt a conviction

there was no court involvment and the person who issued the warning was a council officer ot a policeman

will this show on ACPO certificate, howlikely is it to impede my visa ?

Wouldn't it be easier to put a completed DS-3025 in your AOS packet and not have to go through these experiences? That's why we try to warn people in the guide to get the shots done. You haven't read the AOS forums and the problems people encounter with Civil Surgeons. Shots at your GP later will not count for AOS until a Civil Surgeon in the US fills out a new form.

Out of curiosity, I called down the list of civil surgeons for zip code 90022 to help someone I felt sorry for. I figured I knew exactly what to explain to them. They don't listen or care. I was so angry after calling 13 offices and all said no to doing the vaccination form without the full medical exam. Average cost was $245. That does not include the actual shots.

That bit i get however. im curious as to if theyll ask me to get a 6th tetanus shot because my fifth was in 1999. the NHS wont give me number 6 cause 5 is my fill

The issue is the NHS seem to be very unkeen on giving a jab outwith the countries recomendations. she stated since id had 5 even though that last one was more than ten years ago she wouldnt give me a booster unless requested to give one by a governing body

i think unless someone can tell mne since ive had all my DTP i wont need anymore ill raise the money just in case

I had a tetanus booster, It was £35 on top of the £245 at Knightsbridge

had you had 4 or 5 before that though. theoretically i shouldnt need a booster as ive had the ones needed. but the 5th and last one was in 1999

im trying to determine whther theyll insist ill need another for AoS

also i read they weight you and what not. is this to make a decision or just for statistics? im a large guy

Once you have 5 they shouldn't make you have another, especially as you have the print out. I believe it is £45 on top of the standard medical fee if they do make you have one.

i only based it on the step by step sticky on this forum, that says id need a booster if not had for more than ten years

just been to speak to a nurse about shots and get a printout of them (got them signed and practice stamped just to make sure)

i told her about the DTP shots and told her if the last one was over ten years ago ill need a booster. I had my last one in 1999 but she said ive had 5 over the years and thats me ok for life. Will knightsbridge charge me for a tetanus? also ive seen elsewhere its not just the base cost they might ask its additional

Hey there. me and my girlfriend are aiming for marriage in about 2 -3 years time. and we know that the k-1 visa is the one well need.

but my question isnt what i need to do, but more how much it'll cost.

so far ive got

she files the I-129F - thats $340

then when thats approved, i apply for k-1

application for k-1 - $240
DS-156 - cant see anything as far as this costs
Medical - im not sure as i live in UK and we have NHS
Extras - how much do i set aside for all this? the police records, and other literature?
then the I-485 - $985 + $85 Biometrics

can someone hopefully give me a better idea as im going to need this on top of my travel money to get over there

a few months ago i was given a caution for buying non duty paid alcohol. i work in a newsagents and someone came in and offered to sell me alcohol for my own consumption. i bought and left them in shop when i went home. trading standards came in and that day and seized the three bottles.

I was never arrested but i was questioned under caution and given a caution

how will this affect my VISA application if at all?
