Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussionbiometrics

well, in general how closely are the appointments scheduled? we want to file on may 12th and maybe travel june 2nd or later. i just dont want to wait a month and THEN get a late notice. is rescheduling done by phone or in writing?

rescheduling is done by writing!! One sends back the origianal NOA. I wrote on it, as wel attched a short letter stating I could not make the scheduled appt due to being away on Xmas holidays with my wife, and would be avialable anytime after a certain. date.My origianl date was for end of Dec, the new date was Jan 11, so they are pretty quick!! One is just mailing it o the local office, so I assuem they are much more efficient, and better to deal with. If your overly concerned, contact the local office in ur city.

I had about a 3 week space from letter to appt date.

I had to reschedule. Was simple as mailing back the NOA and stating when I was available. I was only requesting a 2 week delay.

Maybe because I was CR-1, but for my Biometrics (associated with I-751) on my Biometrics appt notice, it didnt give me the option of just showing up o any wed. after that! It stated that if I did not show for the assigned date, my application could be considered abandoned, and then gave em instructions on how to reschedule, which I had to do, and was super easy!!

Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussionre buying a house

I didn't add my wife to the deed. I've got a very attractive interest rate and I don't want to give the mortgage holder any excuse to try to call in the loan. I understand that mortgage lenders do not like to have someone be an owner of a property who is not also obligated to pay the loan that the property backs?

Yodrak

I added him to the deed instead of changing the mortgage (and my good terms).

Not sure where u heard that. When we shopped for a mortgage, we asked if it was a problem that I would not be on the mortgage, but would be on the tilte/deed, not one cared. I know of a few American friends, was the same thing. One had wrecked their credit in the past, thus only 1 was on the mortgage, but both on title. Of course their may be soem that would have a problem, but one can always shop around.

I had to reschedule my appt in VA, I just sent the letter back as instructed, wasnt that difficult, as well I stated I was available after so and so date. Was rescheduled for approx 2 weeks after my orginal interview date. You could ask for it to be on a certain date on the letter.

On my Biometrics appt it stated that family members could NOT attend due to limited space. And they were actually telling people that came to leave the waiting area.

I didnt receive an actual NOA for quite awhile when I first submitted my I-751, was a lot longer than a month (closer to 2.5). Nothing gets completed in order, I'msure others that submitted after I did, got their NOA! Took around 6 months to get the actual card (going through Vermont) Best of luck

Mailed off the I-751 3rd week in Sept to Vermont and today (09 Nov) received the I-797C, Notice of Action. Now I guess just have to wait for the Biometrics appt.
Don't imagine all that will be completed prior to dec 17 2006, thats when my Drivers lic. expires, lol Guess will have to fork over more $$ for a 1 yr drivers lic. then go back again when I have the 10 yr visa!! Nothing better than standing in line at the DMV!!!

Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussionnotarized
I did NOT get mine notoarized and I have a new shiny 10 yr old greencard in my wallet! I did have plenty of other evidence!! Maybe if al i had for evidence was those letters, i would get them notarized, but probably not!! i included the friends phon #'s on the letter, so if Immigration doubted the validity of them, they could always call those friends!! But to be safe, its not wrong to get them notarized!!

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionBiometrics
It staes right on the biometrics appt letter how to reschedule. For alexandria VA, it was just mailing tha appt letter back to the address indicated, and checking off the box!! I wrote on the letter that i was availabale anytiem after so and so a date, was that simple. Others have stated it stated on that letter, they could just go on whatever time. Did not state that on my letter. just follow the very easy instructions, and you will be fine.

All varies!! Took nearly 2 months to get NOA1 ( I went through Vermont) Some get that faster of course, some do not, lol. I had about 2.5 weeks notice for my Biometrics appt (they take ur fingerprints and pic there) But I had to reschedule, which was easy to do, which pushed it back another 2 weeks!! Took about 6 months from first mailing in the 751 to recieving my 10 yr greencard

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionRisk of losing job if I don't get either extension or the 10 yr GC
I went through vermont and it took just over 2 months to get the NOA1 which gives you the 1 yr extension. From first mailing the 751 to receipt of the 10 yr green card was just over 6 months. Personally if I had other evidence (pics, bank acct info, house papers, etc) I wouldn't even bother with the affidavits, they are not a MUST have. I did enclose letters, but they were not notarized, just signed by the friends!! We actually wrote the letters for them, they approved of them and signed! Best of luck

dog/cat fight, lol Ya the wording on the 751 Instructions makes it a bit tricky, but the affidavits are not a MUST have. We sent in letters (not notarized) from friends, along with piles of other evidence. All turned out peachy!!
