Philippines	St lukes medical exam	Maybe this has been posted already but I have been having trouble finding anything on it.  Once we recieve word that NVC has our case and we have the #, are we able to schedule for the medical examination immediately?  I know the interview is usually scheduled at least a month later but can we get the medical exam done right away?  My understanding is that this varies embassy to embassy.  Anyone been through this with Manila?    Thanks everyone! Philippines	Slec X-Ray "abnormalities". :(	Yeah it's most probably a scar from an old infection. But SLEC wants to make sure it's not TB so they administer smear and sputum tests (which is so inconvenient if you live from another province). I only have 1 lung and fortunately, I passed the medical without having to do the sputum test.    To anyone who had a lung infection which developed into a scar and planning to take a medical, it would help if you bring a complete documentation of the diagnosis and treatment from your doctor (make sure it has the doctor's license number). You can also bring an old x-ray (taken after your treatment) for comparison.    Yeah we brought in all the documentation of her treatment and an x-ray she had 6 months ago as part of her regular checkups.  They wouldn't even look at the old x-ray though...  Grace said there were 3 other people with her that were told to return for the two month sputum test and none of them could get the nurses to take their old x-ray. Philippines	Slec X-Ray "abnormalities". :(	Well... Just got word today that Grace will be going back to manila in January for her sputum test due to an abnormal chest x-ray. Sigh* I guess we were expecting this since she was successfully treated years ago. But still... Disappointing. They wouldn't tell her what they found on the x-ray. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Nervous :-/	It's probably too early for me to be nervous about our case... but I'm noticing many of the members on here who recieved their NOA1 at the beginning of October are already getting their NOA2.  Still waiting on ours and hoping I didn't mess anything up.  I keep trying to convince myself that there is no rhyme or reason to anything CSC does with the cases but I can't help but worry a little.  Sigh* hopefully we hear something soon.  Haha anyways I was feeling a little discouraged so I thought I'd get on here and whine to no one in particular.  If you read this thanks and God bless. Ok will do. Thank you very much. Wow I didn't think slots were filling that fast. Every time I ask them they just tell me they don't have that information. All I know is it arrived on the 4th. So as I am moving forward it seems like what people are saying to do next is the DS-160, pay the visa fee, and schedule her medical exam right? I'm a little confused because the NVC agent I talked to today said to not do anything until the packet has arrived in manila. Is there a problem if she starts getting these things done right now? She was saying that our file (and I imagine many others on VJ) have most likely arrived and are just waiting to be put into the NVC system. She said since the holidays are starting to hit it's taking a little longer. I encourage people to call D.O.S. for a polite helpful response.
