After a long journey we finally got approved and my hsuband recived his GC in the mail few days ago. Whats confusing me if. do we have to remove conditions? The green card does not expire until 2019.

I Petitioned the I-130 for my husband at the end of July and I-129F at the begining of Aug. 3 days ago my I-130 was touched. I am very excited lol. I hope this means that soon everything will be approved and my family will be reunited. I was wondering how long it usually takes for the whole process to be approved. Anyone?

Okay, I check the processing timeframe on VJ every day and now it shoew that for NOA1 to NOA2 for VSC they are currently working on July 2... SOmetimes I check it & it goes ahead and the next day it goes a whole week behind. And than again when I go to USCIS.gov its not any better, they dont even bother updading it.. So which one do we follow?

Its the way to go. I use it daily, it has a great picture and sound quality and its cheap. I mean yea what does a messinger have to do with your relationship.. You's be surprised. The more you talk the closer you get. Me and my husband dated for 6 years before we got married, and out relationship was nothing but fightsNot anymore tho... Since we got married we had to fnd and easier way to stay conected and ofcourse something more economic than my usual $600-700 cell phone bill. Every time i talk to him i miss him more, and like all of you guys we have our ups and downs but every time we get mad at each other i dont wanna live anymore. Its hard, we all know but you have to be patient and soon we will be with our loved ones. Talk to them as much as you can, tell them anything.. call them just because, call them just to tell them you love them.Just keeping in touch with them will bring you closer. Keep your relationships/marriage alive. LEts show everyone that we can do it. The distance dont matter, love is what counts...

I did all the reading on the guidelines but still there is few questions remaining...

1. How long does each take, K3 and CR1. How soon will we be together?
2. On the poverty guidelines, do I have to show that I HAVE atleat 125% or show that I MAKE 125%?
3. IV Bill... Is this another payment? If so how much?
4. If we go on the K3 path, how lond for the AOS when he arrives?

yes it would cancel your i-130. i had an RFE for my i-129 and just like u we had filed for both... when i got my RFE i called to ask they said that everything that they require in the paperwork that they send u is NEEDED otherwise they can not process anything.. so my advise is send them what they r asking for.. good luck

Last-I-checked Puerto Rico is to US equivalent to what Lakshadweep is to India (or Nunavut to Canada)--not a State (Province), but still part-and-parcel. So, time in Puerto Rico would be "physically present in US".

You have no control on how long the 751 process can take, therefore the date for your LONG leave (after 10 year green card) is not confirmed.

I would apply for a re-entry permit after confirming my date of departure.


I see; do you know if I am eigible to apply reentry permit (I-131) before I-751 approved? (as an conditional PR during the one year extension)

You're welcome. smile.gif Just think, it's almost over. Look at how far you have come over the past few years. It is amazing at how all this paperwork and waiting can get the best of you at times but once its done you kinda laugh about your craziness and prepare yourself for the next step.

Not sure if you will be going for citizenship next, which I think we will be able to apply for come this Summer. Which means that a year from now we will probably be waiting for an interview date and/or an oath ceremony date or even be completely done with this whole immigration fun. Yay! Then we can breathe a big sigh of relief that its official over and done with. My hubby was already reading about the citizenship test and taking the practice test online last night. lol

Looking forward to seeing your approval date updated on the site.

There is an annoucement on the USCIS.gov
