National Visa Center (Dept of State)help pls... i'm preg0~
hi there jazz..

it would be best way to expedite your case when your hubby filed it but am not sure you can expedite it now for it is now in NVC!
as far as i know when the petition is on NVC it will take 1-2weeks before the NVC forward it to US EMBASSY.. and then when the
US EMBASSY recieved it?! it will then forwarded to you not later than 2wks.. then when you have the VISA PACKET INSTRUCTION,
you can start completing the documents needed for your VISA INTERVIEW!

In addition, you can call also the US EMBASSY to schedule your VISA INTERVIEW! and while waiting for the your choosen VISA
INTERVIEW.. you can take your medical.. pay the visa fee and the visa verification.. if i were you, pay the visa verification
fee when you pay the visa fee to avoid furthermore delays on the issuance of your visa! that's what I did and i did have a smooth
visa transactions.. good.gif

BTW, have you started gathering some documents?..

i hope you already did?! For before my visa was approved?! I was halfway prepared of my visa documents.. ;-)

hope this gives you little help?!

my concerns are..

the technologist @ WIC(WOMEN, INFANT AND CHILDREN CTR here in boise) get hold my vaccination worksheets that i get from my first vaccinations back in the philippines.. do I need that record to support my application for change of status? but they give me a yellow stub that states my latest vaccinations and reciept.. does this papers is ok as a supporting documents of my application to change my status?!

So - how exactly do you assemble your pics and proof when you go into the interview? Is there some format? It says chronological order is best. OK, can I paste photos on a page with receipts/other proof and date them? Does anyone have any pictures of the packet that they turned in? Did anyone get creative? :-)
Bug

There's no format. The idea is to make it most convenient for YOU to find information when you go into the interview. They will be expecting you to be organized so that if they ask for something, you should know right where it is and be able to hand it over quickly. I suppose you could get creative, but it's not really necessary as they won't care how hard you worked on decorating your packet if they don't believe your case is valid :/ I would make it as simple and professional as possible. When you're all done with the process though, make a scrapbook of all your proofs and paperwork for the family or the kids to look at later on biggrin.gif That could be fun!!

I made such a beautiful presentation, really. I was proud of myself. I got to the consulate and went to the window where we truned in documents. To my horror the little slot under the bulletproof glas was NO WAY going to let this behemoth color presentation pas through. "Certainly they will open a side door so I can wheel it in on this dolly" I though to myself. Nope.

The very nice man cmes to the window and asks for the DS-156K first. "I have all in this wonderful, colorful presentation I pent hours assembling for your amazement!" He said "I just need the Ds-156K please" So there I am disassembling my entire colorful, impressive presentation into a loos stack of papers and handing them through the window (unceremoniously I might add) and the guy has the nerv to assemble it into his very own package on the other side of the window, completely ignoring the dividers, colored tabs and labels I had already prepared for him. He had the nerve to have his very own folder and made his own determination of how to assemble it!!!!

well, it is really little frustrating to know that all your effort on beautifying your documents folder wasn't appreciated but I was really planning to do same thing you did but I decided not to for I was aware that the CONSULATE will just
asked some PROOF OF RELATIONSHIP and they will put it on thier own folder!

but hey atleast you did tried and give your best shots on your visa preparations! good.gif

Bootm line...make sure you have everything. Paper clip the original, the copy and the translation of each together, that is as organized as you need to get, anything else will be disassembled without regard to your artful efforts.

All feelings of insult, hurt and shame evaporated when we got the visa, but for what it's worth don't spend too much time on this. Paint the ceiling instead.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionAssembly questions for proof for consulate
Well for me, what I did was..

I bought a clear folder, bond papers and a glue, then i typed some captions on word doc to the pics that I choose that would way really
show a closed tied relationship, then I printed that labels, cut it patiently, took the pics from the first day we met, paste it on the white
bond paper, and when am done, i label the pics to is appropriate labels, I even put table of contents on my first page, then i put the pics
with labels already, followed by exchanged emails, our chat msgs,(selected from start-middle-recent ones), i even put next to it the cards
that he sent to me and from his mom, then the packages reciepts, the $$$ transfer from him, bank statements from him, decree of divorce,
my CENOMAR, my birth certificate, NBI, the reciepts from the visa fees and visa verifications, the application forms(DS's) and I even put his
scanned ID's, passport, his birthcertificate, the letter of INTENT TO MARRYFROM BOTH OF US, the affidavit of support, tax return, W2, payslips, COE
and I did put as much more evidence I did have so that when the consulate ask me it is easy to find and give it to him/her!!

I did really make it simple but less stress finding, though it was really stressful for me to prepared it!

THE CONSULATE PRESECREENER did asked me my certificate of singleness, NBI clearance, affidivit of Support, W2, all the forms, and a lot of docs
that is required and I was asked few questions and told to be seated and wait my queing number to be cold again for the CONSULATE FINAL INTERVIEW!

As far as I could remember, the CONSULATE that did my final interivew didn't asked me another more proofs of evedince for It was all there in her hand
and I did answered all the question confidently and I did passed the INTERVIEW with hassle free!! whistling.gif good.gif

I tried to upload a pic of my folder that I did prepared for my K1 VISA but, it is failed to upload..:-(

Then if they see a Pinay, they tend to be jealous cuz the Pinay has a sexy body and natural beauty that they don't posses.

American Woman is independence, to a point it hurts them. Why are so many on anti depressant drugs?

We have gotten to a point in USA where we are so politcally correct, Woman are put on pedestal in USA, and men are taught to take care of them.

You will see a fat and ugly woman in USA, and there is so man who is willing to kill for her.

Court systems and family court are sided to the Female.

You can hear an American woman get angry and tell her husband, I will Divorce you and take everything you own. How many time has a man told this to a woman, the answer is never.

I feel its not where a woman is from but whats in her heart and mind...and yes...american women have been soaked with society and the ####### on tv and the way we are towards each other..i had a wonderful marriage for 14 yrs and sometimes things dont work..but not all women in the us are bad..just like anywhere..everyone has issues....and philopino women are gorgeous but there are beautiful women all over the world...just need to let love find you..stop lookin and it will pop up when you least expect it...mine did...and im happy today..hoopy

There are others who are fortunate enough to have family members here in US. I don't. But I have a "kakampi" -my husband. You should consider your husband as your kakampi. Where is he anyways? Are you living alone now?

If you are just in San Jose, we can go around together!!!

Ngano man day? Asa man diay xa? Kinsay imo kauban karon? Lisod jud na ang mag-isa sa foreign land. Just a suggestion, try to check if there are other Filipinas in your area. I was able to befriend a Filipina here when I got here and she also introduced me to her other Filipino friends. They both speak Cebuano, I speak Boholano before and I'm using it when I'm with them. smile.gif

we filled it out with the extra words and then whited out that part and photo copied it and had my husband sign the bottom of the photocopy... it worked for us..

yeah! whiting out is a bad idea for it gives the reciever or i would say the USCIS personnel a bad thought that the docs is being falsified!!
if it PDF doesn't really work on your end guys, just print it and hand write it, it would be much safe and worry free!! good.gif

This would be strange: i was married to a man living in USA two years ago. Arranged family marriage couldnt workout well. I dont want to live with him, at the same time i cant divorce him due to FAMILY CONSTRAINTS. Cant even let it known that i dont want to live with him. Can anyone suggest me how to get a visa denied in interview without having a blame on me that i did it purposefully? Your help would be an act of charity please.

well, am sorry to hear your situation! well yeah, i will agree to all the comment replies earlier talk it out with you husband or just be honest with the consulate and then you will see what awaits you?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresAre vows in church always concidered legal wedding?
QUOTE
QUOTE (anindon @ Dec 4 2008, 11:46 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

We were thinking about getting married at her church in the Philippines for her family and friends, and then coming to US the following week on the K1 visa. Then, within 90 days getting married in USA. She is not a Catholic so we hoped that the church would go along with us and allow the marriage to take place but not report it to the Philippine govt. It sounds like it might work and make everyone happy but I am concerned that somehow the US govt. would find out after we wed in this country and then void the marriage and visa. I am afraid that they will say that we lied on forms and prosecute us also. Does anyone have insight into this topic?

the wedding church is the most sacred of all ceremonies for me, and yes! it is deffenitely legal by any means.. once you get married, you are married.. well, just wanna add a comment on the topic of this corner here visajourney.. thanks! --maje08

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresAre vows in church always concidered legal wedding?
hi, just wanna add comment to your post.. well as being through with K1 VISA.. I would strongly advice you not to get married in the philippines.. what you can do is process her papers and everything and then you two can get married when your girl is in the USA.. For getting married in the philippines would jeopardize your K1 petition to her for the US EMBASSY will find out eventually if you two would tie the knot in the philippines... if you want her to be with you less than a yr then process her K1 petition impromto..!! My Fiance' and I did met last feb for a week just this yr and then when he gets back, he did right away file the petition and everything, the petition was file april 2008 and it was approved july 2008 and the USCIS forwarded the petition to US EMBASSY MANILA and last week of JULY 2008, i did recieved my K1 VISA PACKET INSTRUCTIONS, and then I did completed all the documents needed(well, i was halfway to be done), and when I was gathering the necessary documents needed for my visa interview, I paid the required fees and then call for a VISA INTERVIEW! and while waiting for my visa interview date, i took the medical exam and then waited for the date of my interview.. i did choose sept 8, 2008 for my visa interview so that i still have enough time to complete all the neccesary documents needed.. and then the interview date did come and I was so confident and i did passed the interview so easily though i was so dang nervouse! then sept 9, my visa was apporved and delivered sept 11, 2008 and then I planned my trip to the USA.. and now am here in US for almost 2months.. and this coming saturday, december 6,2008 my fiance' and I will say our VOWS!! The church don't care, the church role is to marry a couple that want to get marry and they won't care to report to US EMBASSY though they will be question by some CI's from US EMBASSY!

getting married in the philippines isn't bad but if you file spouse visa it will take like forever for the two of you to be together,, so please just process her papers(K1) and then you too can be together in less than a yr!!.. I just hope my comment make sense to you and helps you, am not really good on posting but I tried my very best that my post would be of help?! good.gif

I would say pictures, chat msgs, emails, telephone bills that has a statement that you call to your fiance', some reciepts by either $$ xfer, purchase item when you take a visit to your fiance's country..

during my interview, i was asked emails, pics, letter of intent to mary from my fiance'.. that all I can remember but the pics with him and my family really
proves that we have been together and he met my family.. I would say, "BE A PICTURE ADDICT FOR AWHILE FOR THE SAKE OF PROOF OF RELATIONSHOP!" good.gif
