US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	How often do you guys communicate with your spouses abroad	My fiance and I email throughout the day while we are at work. His cell phone provider doesn't allow text messages to mine and vice versa so he texts me with txt2day.com (free!) and I buy Skype credit and text him with that (cheap!). I also bought an iPhone so I can have the Skype app right on my phone and I can call him (for free!) through Skype on my iPhone. Because of the 6 hour time difference and our busy work schedules we can only video chat once during the work week, when he stays up late and I rush home early from work and on the weekends, depending on our schedules. It's so hard to not be able to communicate all the time that we want to but the iPhone really helps big time. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	any updates on CSC?	its just the stress,the stress we go through as individuals in every day life is just nearly unbearable ( our schedules are hectic,his due to his job,mine to my education ) now add to that the stress of this process,the stress of a long term long distance relationship,and the pressure and the stress of the distance,and people constantly asking about how things are going and if our case has gone through yet,its just a recipe for disaster.im just really torn part,to sum it up,i need a break from being me,dealing with the things i deal with. thanks tho,good luck to you too,i really do hope this is your month That's what gets me too....people constantly asking. I know that everyone's curious and they mean well, but it is hard. It's hard to deal with constant questions and constantly having to tell people how we make our long distance relationship work because it's worth it for us. Don't get me wrong, it totally is, I love my Tomislav more than anything in the world but no matter how many times we say goodbye, it doesn't get any easier, waiting for the next time we see each other doesn't get any easier and it's frustrating to not be with the one you love. When everythings crazy and I have a stressful day, all I want is to be with him and between crazy work schedules and time differences, we barely have time to even Skype anymore. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Losing faith	Hey, if you don't want to be told that it gets better and be encouraged that way, don't read it. I'm not saying people 'have to feel this way'. I'm just saying "Hey look, the grass is greener and the sun is brighter when you try to keep your chin up." If that offends you, I'm sorry for that. I truely feel sorry for you that cheerfulness really makes you that angry. That is real unfortunate. As for me, I'll continue to post hope and positive encouraging posts for people as best I can. I refuse to watch people get depressed and just let them lie in it. I find whenever I get depressed, it helps to have someone positive around. Sometimes the mood just simply catches on. That's my hope for those here that are hopeless and upset. Lord knows I'm not always patient and happy. I'm just *choosing* to be right now. And yes, to an earlier poster, I DO know what the wait does to a person. Last I checked, I'm still waiting, too. It's somewhat annoying that people discredit me, saying I'm 'new' and I don't know what the wait is like. I waited for two years to even be ABLE to file. I have been waiting a lot longer than just 'paperwork' says I have been. Oh, and to answer your question "What in the world is my problem??".. My answer is that my "problem" is that I refuse to let it get me down and I try to encourage people in positive ways and give hope. (I don't mind my 'problem' though. There are worse things than remaining postive and cheerful!) Hi Kiwi- I read the whole thread and it's so great that you choose to stay so optimistic throughout this process. Just a thought though, maybe in a thread called "Losing faith" people aren't looking for encouragement but instead are looking to discuss their frustrations and the fact that they are losing faith. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Losing faith	Petitions/Visas filed by tax paying, United States Citizens should be the #1 priority of the USCIS. Who pays their salary? The tax paying United States Citizen. All visas/petitions/AOS's/N-400's that arrive to any USCIS facility filed by a United States Citizen should be processed asap. I frankly do not understand how a Temp. Protective Status visa applicant takes priority over a citizen (As is the case with VSC right now), and hell TPS applicants are able to work if they apply for EAD which they are able to do, so the average citizen, during a time when jobs are far and few, will have even more problems finding a job. Yes, I did start my journey in 2004. At that time, Vermont was actually working at a reasonable speed, issuing NOA2s in 30 days. Even as late as last year I heard stories of 30 day turnarounds. But now they have apparently decided that Hatian charity cases are more important that hard working, taxpaying, fee paying American citizens. This is an outrage, and I do not intend to take this outrage lying down. I have to repeat this: United States Citizens should be the #1 priority of the USCIS. I know it's the center for immigration services but USC's family members SHOULD be the #1 priority (especially since we USC's are paying govt. worker's salaries). It isn't like she came in and said, "Be positive, guys! It's still within the timeframe and it will come! Focus on the positive!" She came in and said, "Quit whining, people." and THAT is where the rudeness lies. The message you're trying to get across doesn't accomplish anything if your delivery sucks. All I'm saying is that it's obnoxious to tell people they aren't allowed to be frustrated with this process. I'm not saying we should be guaranteed a 6 week approval because that was the pace the centers were working at a few months ago; I'm just saying it's normal and natural to have frustrations and I see a lot of support in this thread - lots of congratulations for everyone being approved. I think it's equally obnoxious to click on a thread, read 2 or 3 posts out of tons of pages, apply it to the entire thread and everyone in it and write a snarky, presumptuous message instead of hitting the back button.
