i did the same today after i check my case status at nvc and it says READY, I schedule my interview on July 18th but im afraid to go there only to find out my documents are still at NVC.

For the I-130 petition, it usually takes about 1-2 weeks to receive the NOA1.  It takes up to 6 months for NOA2.  Some petitions are approved sooner...some later. 
IMHO, I do not believe it will be approved faster if you had a previously submitted petition.  Supposedly, USCIS processes in the order they receive them (after background checks). 
 
If you don't mind me asking, what's the reason for refiling?

sometimes nvc and uscis is confusing, we filled our first petition last 2007 but because of lucking documents we didnt continue it, last year we asked them if we can continue our 2007 petition and uscis and NVC replied via email that case was terminated after one year without contacting them, so we refile last september 2012 and approved last dec. 3. but last february 2013 we got an email from uscis that our 2007 petition was approved and forwarded to NVC! but we din't touch our 2007 anymore we just go with our recent application.

What i did on mine is after checking https://ceac.state.gov/CEAC/ and showing up my status as READY on June 18th, I went to https://cgifederal.s...m/updateprofile, i register and choose a date of my interview (i could choose an earlier date but for financial reason i choose the later date. After 4 days because i doubt it since many said if your IR/CR1 case the NVC will be the one to schedule the interview date, I called USEM AT 02 982 5555 and talked to the operator and she (Rowena) said my interview is confirmed. On the same day i received response email from the embassy : I didnt wait or called NVC since it will just cost us a lot since we're living in Phils, I just check everyday at https://ceac.state.gov/CEAC/ if our case is ready for interview.

 

We received the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services-approved visa petition from the State Department?s National Visa Center on June 19, 2013.

 

We understand that you have scheduled a visa interview on July 18, 2013. The attached documentation serves as confirmation of your appointment. (I emailed them my printscreen confirmation from https://cgifederal.secure.force.com)

it can also mean that their touching your case or on the process of printing your visa. Once its printed it will change to Issued

Hi! I had my interview yesterday and was approved but status say READY as well . I just think it is some problem with system.

 

i think they don't have enough options in their system, kinda scary i thought we required to have 2nd interview but just wait for 2 business day and it will changed to ISSUED at least the same as other people i talked to who have the same experienced

okay now i'm worried with tickets in our hand on sept 10, My child's IR2 interview was on July 18th, the consul and the Guy on releasing window said she is approved but can't release her visa until I am approved since we have different date of interview. so at ceac wesite it's AP status, when i received my visa last July 8th I emailed the USEM to follow up her status since they are only waiting for my adjudication. I email them everyday, her case was touched on august 5, 7, 8 and still on AP, I received an email last August 8th saying The case has been referred to a consular officer for review. We will notify the applicant once the review is completed.  But when I check her status today it says READY for interview! I don't literally understand what's going on?

Okay, to end all my worries, I called USEM yesterday regarding my Interview and they said that the general rule on immigrant visa is that the NCV will schedule an interview.  But since i saw my status showing READY at https://ceac.state.gov/CEAC/, i registered and schedule BY MYSELF chossing my own date of convenience on line @ https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/ and got a confirmation email, Now they have to follow it since it is already scheduled in their system! whew i feel relief!!!

 

I didnt wait for NVC to mail me since it will take very looooong time to arrive! and we need to be in US before the school starts in August smile.png

Hi just want to share my experience after my NVC Case complete.

 

After checking https://ceac.state.gov/CEAC/ and showing up my status as READY on June 18th, I went to https://cgifederal.s...m/updateprofile, i register and choose a date of my interview (i could choose an earlier date but for financial reason i choose the later date. But since it's already on their system my interview is confirmed.

If you are an IR1/CR1 then you cannot make your own appointment as far as I understand.  I tried that also and found out later that NVC MUST SCHEDULE the appointment.. I had actually scheduled my appointment the way you did but was told that I could not do that.  So CALL NVC. They will tell you when your appointment is set for if it is already set.  They should give you the date and time of your appointment, then cancel the one you made online to avoid confusion.  ALOHA KE AKUA

You checked where the CEAC website? You sure? I have never heard anyone report interview date is on the website.

 

And yes you will need the interview letter from NVC to get in the embassy and take to your medical.

 

I didn't see your timeline you are an expedite so everything about interview comes from embassy.

 

If you got a letter of appointment confirmation that is what you take to interview and medical. You can always confirm with the embassy.

 

 

 

Sorry if my last post is confusing, i went to https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/ to schedule my interview and got confirmation by email. Because if this work, that's a good news for everybody, we don't have to call or wait the NVC/Consulate to schedule an interview for us!

Hi, Just want to know, I just checked online that my NVC case is READY for interview and set my interview date on July 18th. I received appointment confirmation via email, my question is..  Is this good to go? even if i didn't received any email/letter from nvc or manila consular ofc?  I'm afraid to show up on July 18th only to find out my documents aren't forwarded to Manila embassy yet.

You should pay the USCIS Immigrant Fee after you receive your immigrant visa package from the Department of State and before you depart for the United States.

how we wish we can do this to our doberman, shes full grown and big... it breaks our heart just the thought of leaving her soon, she's my children's sister, dont know how they gonna cope up with her absence but we're already struggling how we can afford a ticket for 4 of us to US plus the dog i think it's impossible for our part. happy for those who can bring their dog with them though :)

Okay I think i just found an answer to my question, silly me! i can't sleep the whole night worrying all this process and fees but i check my old passport and i actually went my medical exam on july 31, 2008 (thursday) and got my interview stamp on Agust 5,2008 (tuesday) which is  3 business days in between! i think we will just go medical on the 15th and my interview on 18th, really desperate to save money!

Mostly do their medical 1 week before the interview,You can ask from your relatives to stay if they are in mnl area,so that you can save more pesos.

Do not be stress in doing medical,drink alot of water,sleep well.

thank you for your suggestion, maybe you're right. i dont mind where they gonna move my post as long as i can get answers from those who have experience, these whole process and fees are just killing me sad.png

Is it possible to undergo medical exam like 3 days before the interview, i know they said at least a week before the interview date but we're really on a tight budget right now and thinking if we can save from staying in a hotel for a week and make it 3. 

 

I wonder if there are other VJ friends who had this experience, that would be a great help to us! We are a family of 4 to travel after our visa get approved and this isn't easy for us, so we really try to budget our expenses.

I was required to go back for immunization after 12 days because they can't give me shots since there's sexual contact in between "unsafe days"

I was also required a psych evaluation because of the prescription i was taking months ago since i didn't present them my med certificate. I gave them my medical certificate (cardio) and i passed!

when i had mine, they asked me the first day of my latest period! And i was advise to go back after 12 days for my shots since there's a contact in between "unsafe" days.

My not so pleasant medical experience coz during the phyisical i was asked if I'm on medication i told them yes coz i have Mitral valve prolapse, she asks my meds and i gave to her, now this leads to more questions ask like when i was diagnosed and if i am maintaining my meds i told them only when needed because that's what my cadio's instruction and it seems that my meds is also the same meds that doctors gave to people with anxiety. i was ask if i had panic attack experience, honestly i told them yes i had, before i was diagnosed i always experience chest pain and feel like i'm passing out then comes the palpitations, its like several times i went to ER because i thought i'll be having heart attack but when i had my heart ultrasound (2d echo) and doc gave me meds it helps a lot until now that i know how to control my mvp and fully understand how it works i seldom take it. Then from room # 5 doctor referred me to a cardio in another room, after the exam she said she didn't hear murmurs (ya right, like i was lying about my mvp?), then she told me to go to USA counter and from there my name was called at room N on ground flr, and was shocked when the guy there told me if situations like mine who had panic attack experience the US embassy instructed them to refer to a psychologist, he explain to me that i need to pay additional P1,000 and that the next available appointment will be on July 19th a day after my scheduled interview, now they want me to cancel my interview and wait another 4-5 days after "psychological test" result before they will schedule my embassy interview. During my immunization interview i am advised to go back after 12 days since there's a sexual contact between unsafe days...

I went back on July 19th for my personal evaluation and brought with me my doctors certificate, the psychologist was nice and she said they do that for clearance...

 

I attend my interview on July 30 without medical release and immunization, the consul told me im approved and they will just wait for my medical release for them to issue my visa. on the same day on my interview i went back to SLEM waited 4 hours to get my shot and was told that i need to have another pregnancy test in spite of having my read day on, so i paid almost 500pesos, after 10 minutes i got negative result and was given only one shot the flu vaccine. 

 

I was excited to get my result only to find out that they have typo error on my medical and need another 4 days for the psychiatrist to sign it!
