IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC stage should i need a lawyer?	I've never used a lawyer. This forum has been very helpful and is better than hiring a lawyer. Since lawyers take care of many cases your case has the high probability of being delayed even further. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	July 2013 I-130 Filers	Congratulations!   I see you got an RFE on 2/5/14 & sent it back by 2/12/14.  That's a great turn around time.  And then they approved your i130 only 15 working later days.  You and I both filed at the same time, but my case got shipped to the Missouri Service Center (I live in Los Angeles) where it just sat and did nothing till November.  I asked a supervisor to transfer the case to California because I noticed better processing times on the USCIS website, but they transferred it to the Texas Service Center.  They issued an RFE on 11/30/13 and I returned it on 12/31/13.  I was on the phone with customer service again today (3rd time this year already) asking them what's going on, and of course....they have no idea.  So I had them do another service request to basically say either approve the dang i130 or give me  reason why they're dragging their feet. It's been 60 days since they got my RFE info back.  I'm about ready to write my congressman, senators, The President, The USCIS Ombudsman and maybe even file an i129 K3 and K4 because this is ridiculous.  I mean, we're not building the space shuttle here....and according to what I've read from the agent that posted here on Visa Journey, these cases normally can be approved in just 15 days.   Sorry for venting.  I'm just fit to be tied.     Hang in there! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	July 2013 I-130 Filers	I'm waiting on our RFE letter so we can see what evidence we need to submit.  Do you mind if I ask what evidence you were required to submit?     While we are waiting we have pulled together a file with pretty much everything we can think of so we have no delay in responding to the RFE.  They asked for the original copy of our marriage certificate. They claimed to have only received the translation which isn't true. I guess they lost it when my file moved to the CSC. They also asked for more evidence which I guess they lost as well since they claimed that I only submitted a copy of my marriage certificate (I'm guessing they meant the translation of the copy)...   I sent in another copy of the marriage certificate. I also sent in some wedding photos (again), my airline tickets used to visit Indonesia as well as the Visa receipts and also about 40 odd pages of chat records. (I took screen shots of my phone with the chat application open incase they claimed that the transcripts of the chat weren't proper proof).  Edited by Ashiraz, 22 February 2014 - 09:31 PM. I received an update today of my case: On January 22, 2014, we transferred your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, to your local USCIS Office for further processing. The new office has jurisdiction over your case and will send you a decision as soon as processing is complete or you will be notified if further information or action is needed. My case # starts with Msc1391576.....   i just received the second email too. I guess there is one (or maybe two) more emails and then we should receive our hard copies.
