Mexico, Latin & South AmericaPackage 3

It is a nonimmigrant visa, but it is processed by the immigrant visa section.

I’m not sure which mailing address to send it to, should I mail it to:

Embassy of the United States of America
2 Oxford Road
Kingston 5
Jamaica West Indies

OR

Consular Section
American Embassy
Post Office Box 541
Kingston 5, Jamaica

Thanks for your assistance in advance.

Yours truly,

Robert Carter

Good day friends. I just wanted to let you guys know that I have received a package from the embassy in Kingston yesterday I’m very excited to have received this package in such a short time. However, I have a concern with this package. This is my concern: I’ve always thought that the K1 Visa is a non-immigrant visa so why is it that I’m told in the package sent from the Kingston embassy to fill out a form titled “APPLICATION FOR IMMIGRANT VISA AND ALIEN REGISTRATION” (DS-230 part 1) and after I submit this form what should I expect next?

1. how i met my fiancee
2. when was the first time we met
3. where di she say when she came to jamiaca
4. which college did she attend
5. what was her major in college
6. where are her parents from

1. which college did my fiancee attend?

what i don't understand in regards to the guidelines i am now reading in the AOS section is that i will need to submit 13. I-693, Medical Examination of Aliens Seeking Adjustment of Status. (If you already have this from your overseas Visa Interview submit a copy that medical check form; No fee is required in this case. If you are a K-1 fiancé(e) or K-2 dependent who had a medical examination within the past year as required for the nonimmigrant fiancé(e) visa, you only need to submit a vaccination supplement (I-693A), not the entire medical report. You may include the vaccination supplement with your adjustment of status application.) [i]

but i don't have a medical examination, so i am now wondering if the medical result that i gave to the DHS when i came in at miami will they mail those stuff to my fiancee?

My first advice is to ask a better question.
This is about registering for the US military draft which is required for all males between 18 & 26.

You answer the question honestly and if needed supply the appropriate statement.

Here is the example form posted here on VJ http://www.visajourn...mples/N-400.pdf

I second that.

Sorry, i was in a rush i didn't asked my question i just made a statement. Why question was trying to find out if i just check yes or no for the following question:

"Are you a male who lived in the United States at any time between your 18th and 26th birthdays in any status except as a lawful nonimmigrant?"

I checked "no" because i came here on a k-1 visa and i did register with the SSS

I don't understand. Did you get your green card before your 26th birthday? If yes, then your answer to that question should have been "yes" (green card LPR status is NOT the same as a being a lawful NONimmigrant). If no, then you shouldn't have registered for Selective Service. I'm assuming you're male, of course.

I got my green card at age 23 and i registered for selective service when i was 23

I rec'd the NOTICE OF ACTION, I-797C today. I am not sure if they are asking me to submit any additional information to verify my address.
The I-797C, Notice of Action in the mail today. It states that:
"The above application has been received by our office and is in process. Our records indicate your personal information is as follows:"
"Date of birth: November 01, 1900 "
Address where you live: It states my current address here

Then it follows:

"Upon receipt of all required Record Checks, you will be scheduled to appear for an interview at your local USCIS field office".
However, the letter doesn't state when I should get my fingerprints taken. Do I wait for a separate notice for that to come in the mail? If so, about how long does it take?
I just want to make sure everything is on the right track smile.gif

You may not receive a biometrics appointment if your biometrics are still valid from your Removal of Conditions. The yellow letter seems to precede the interview letter by a few weeks so I would say you should be hearing something pretty soon.
