Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionChange of Address
Thursday my wife (CR1 Visa) got her letter from USCIS about her removal of conditions. The problem is it was sent to the old address. I know I did the change of address back in November 2011 for the both of us cause I got the NOA about the change of address for me, but I never received a NOA about my wife's change of address. When a week past I came here and some said they never got NOA either about their wife's change of address. I did the mailed AR-11 instead of the online cause it didn't have Guam listed for the Port of Entry. I went and did the AR11 again online this time and put other for the port of entry. Has anyone had any problems with removal of conditions cause problem with ar11? I'm just worried they will send my wife back or charge us the 200 dollar penalty.

Got email from the head supervisor at the government agency that handles the birth certificates. Advising us not to change the address on it cause it would have the words Amended written on the top. They said it would cause lots of problems for my daughter later on in life cause she would always have to show proof why it was amended. I'll include the email from them, bills from the hospital during her birth that has the correct address, and affidavit from the person living at the wrong address saying we have never lived their. I think that should be good enough for proof i hope lol.

Called them back and they said they are behind in issuing birth certificates and amended birth certificates. Which must be true cause our daughter was born in august 2012 and we are just now getting the birth certificate.

We are getting information rounded up to file for my wife's ROC at the end of this month. We finally got our daughters birth certificate in the mail on friday, but it has the wrong address listed for the place of residence. I called the kansas vital statistics office to see about getting it changed and was informed to live as it is or it would take up to 4 to 5 months to have it changed and it would have an amended put on top that might bring up questions in getting a us passport for her. I was wondering if we will get an rfe because of the wrong address on it. I was thinking about getting an affidavit signed from the person living at the wrong address saying that we have never lived their or trying to explain in the cover letter. Was wondering if anyone had the same issue and what they did or if anyone else has an other idea's.

I have a few question about the ROC.
We got a lot of greeting cards that was never sent in the mail just given to us in person. Would it be okay send some of them even if it doesn't have an address on it with ones that do? Does anyone have a link to an example of an affidavit?

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresK3...give it a shot for kicks?
Department of State to Close K-3 Visas if I-129F and I-130 Petitions Approved and Received Together
February 7th, 2010
by VJ News
Effective February 1st, 2010 (policy already in place), when both the I-129F petition for a nonimmigrant K visa and the I-130 petition for an IR-1 (or CR-1) spouse of a U.S. citizen visa have been approved by USCIS and sent to the National Visa Center (NVC), the availability as well as the need for a nonimmigrant K-3 visa ends. If the NVC receives both petitions:

– The nonimmigrant K visa will be administratively closed.
– The NVC will contact the petitioner and beneficiary with instructions for processing a IR-1 (or CR-1) immigrant visa.

If the NVC does not receive an approved I-130 petition and I-129F at the same time, the NVC will process the I-129F petition. The NVC will then send the petition to the embassy or consulate in the country where the marriage took place. If the marriage took place in the U.S., the NVC will send the petition to the embassy or consulate that issues visas in the beneficiary’s country of nationality. If the marriage took place in a country that does not have an American embassy, or the embassy does not issue visas, the NVC will send the petition to the embassy or consulate that normally processes visas for citizens of that country. For example, if the marriage took place in Iran where the U.S. does not have an embassy the petition would be sent to Turkey.
