US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionRequirements of BPI for Visa Fee

yes your mother can pay your visa on BPI... just give authorization to make sure.. and bring your passport.. original and xerox they need... and your mother make sure have valid id too.. just tell to them K1 visa.. good luck

thanks for the info, ill take note about the authorization letter. Actually, I am not in the country right now and my original passport is with me, I just want to pay the fee right away so that I can schedule my interview online. Are you sure that original passport will be needed? because if that's the case, I myself can do the payment when I get back.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionRequirements of BPI for Visa Fee
Hi everyone. would appreciate your help regarding Payment of Visa Application Fee to BPI.

1) Would it be possible that somebody or my mother could pay to BPI on my behalf? or I have to go there and make payment personally?

2) Is it the original passport they needed or a copy would be enough to accept the payment?

Thanks in advance ;-)

PhilippinesPayment for Visa Application Fee (Bancnet)

jhun&jeng--The quote/info which follows can be found on the following webpage: http://www.ustraveld...paymentinfo.asp

"If you have an account with either Bank of Philippine Islands or BancNet you may choose to pay your visa application fee online using their online bill pay services. You will be required to enter your UID reference number. The UID number is generated when a profile is created. You may call 02-9825555 to get your UID number before completing your payment online."

The link given above discusses more detail about bank and payment options as well as scheduling information. Hope the information will be of use to you.

Thanks for the reply.

I also read about that. I have Bancnet account and I don’t know how to start with my payment. When I go to Bancnet website and click my designated Bank, it goes to my bank online banking. So I tried to log in to my online account but I don’t know to whom I will pay in the Bill Pay Service. And where would I input the IUD reference number?

Did you try to do the same? Thanks again.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresK1 Process after NOA2
Hi everyone!

Just a newbie here in Visa Journey. Find it interesting coz I can access information we needed with our K1 Visa application.

My fiancé filed a K1 petition and I am currently residing in United Arab Emirates . It has been recently approved last August 4.

Though, we know the next step by step process but still not enough to answers all our questions. Basically, the process differs from one way to another.

1) When would be the right time to follow up NVC/Department of State about the status of our case?

2) Now, we are waiting for the packet 3 and 4. We are confuse as to how they will send it to us. Some says through email, mailed to the petitioner or to the beneficiary. How long it will take for us to receive it? When it will come from, is it from NVC/Department of State or from US Embassy here in UAE?

3) What is inside the Packet 3 and 4? Is there any documents/forms needed to be sent back to them before the interview aside from the documents I need to bring for the interview?

4) Is it already the right time that my fiancé gather other documents such as affidavit of support and its supporting papers, I-129F File (copy), etc. to be send to me even we didn’t received further instruction from Packet 3 and 4 yet?

5) As to the medical examination, what would be the test to be done (x-ray, blood test, etc.?).

6) What are the vaccination required since I don’t have my vaccination record? Any suggested vaccination required? Can I get a shot before I do the medical examination or I need to wait for the medical examination as to what the doctor say?

There’s still lot more questions but this are all for now.

Thanks in advance. Have a nice day!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresInterview Waiting Time

Hello :) , The NVC have just provided the case number thru email, there was no official mail yet. So I am not sure whether to contact the Consulate or to wait the official mail or some kind of email saying that [NVC] forwarded the documents to the US Emb/Gen Consulate. I am not even sure how many days/weeks/month for them to book the interview appointment. Have you call the US Embassy-UAE to get this information?

I think US Emb-Phils is quite faster than in here! Let me know what could be the result of yours B-) ... You have a nice day!

Im not sure with the procedure about in Kuwait, depending from country to country. but here, the Embassy will be sending instructions and appointment interview and in the Philippines, once you receive your case number you're good to go to make an appointment for interview either online or by phone.

Based on my readings, its easy to get an appointment in the Philippines. Sure will, let you know. You have a nice day too.

Hello ... We are on the same situation. I am Filipina & currently working in Kuwait and got my case number already thru email last 10th August. I was just wondering how you got the information that it will take months to have your appointment interview at the US Emb - UAE? Did you call or email them? And have your fiance receives the case number by mail or email?

Hi there! based on the US Embassy in Abu Dhabi Information it takes approximately 3 months waiting Time for interview date from when the Consulate receives the package from the NVC. Im just taking a look for another option.

Have you received your packet 3 and 4? From there you can get your interview date.

Thank you. I scheduled my appointment online August 1. There were many slots for August that time but I had to take medical exam last 2nd week of August and gave an allowance of 2 weeks for my interview schedule.

Pretty soon. Compare here, the Embassy will give you the appointment date.

I don't know about procedure in US Embassy there. But here in Philippines...you don't have to wait for your packet 3 and 4. Once you have the case number, you can schedule interview either online or by calling. You can even choose the date of your interview if you schedule appointment online as long as there are slots.

Have you tried to schedule your interview appointment? When is the nearest date you got?

Unfortunately, we got the case number already and it is forwarded already here in US Embassy Abu Dhabi. We are now waiting for the instruction and the interview date from them. I am asking this question because I am worried that they will give us appointment later than December that is why we are looking at this option.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresInterview Waiting Time
Hi everyone!

I am Filipino and currently working here in United Arab Emirates. We have an approved K-1 visa petition which is now filed in US Embassy in Abu Dhabi UAE. Using this portal, we found out that it will take approximately 3 months for the US Embassy here to schedule me for the interview compare to the US Embassy in Manila which will take only 25 days.

Our question is, if in case we decided to transfer our file to US Embassy Manila, is it still possible? Even if our file is now in the US Embassy Abu Dhabi yet we haven’t received the Packet 3 and 4? If so, what would be the procedure? Who are we going to contact? How long it will take for that procedure to be done and have the early interview appointment as possible because we want to spend Christmas together.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWays to Get Earlier Interview - US Embassy Abu Dhabi
Good day everyone..

We just received email from Embassy for our interview appointment. However, to our suprise, our interview for K1 Visa was scheduled 5 months away from now (Feb 2012) which we found too long to wait.

We want to know if there's any way that we can get an earlier interview eventhough Embassy were saying that earlier slots were not available. Besides our NOA2 will expire on December 2011 which will be lapsed by the time of the interview.

We would appreciate your input into this matter. Thanks in advance.

jhun&jengFemalePhilippines2011-09-19 23:58:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHELP: I-134 Affidavit of Support

It depends on the type of household- household in the case of the Affidavit of Support is not based on where people live so much as who they are responsible for- ie who are these four people? If he just lives with two roommates they do not count. But if he previously sponsored two people, even if they do not live with him and make good money, they do count. If there is a household of four (you, him, and two others), the minimum is $28'000.

This is for Affidavit of Support for K1 Visa. My fiance lives with his 2 brothers and 1 sister in law. Would that include to the household even they are not dependent to him? He lives in Hawaii so the minimum is much higher.
jhun&jengFemalePhilippines2011-09-19 08:06:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHELP: I-134 Affidavit of Support

1, Depends on how many there are in his household. For example if it's just you and him, no kids or other dependants, it;'s just under $19'000. Check here: http://www.uscis.gov...form/i-864p.pdf
2, If his salary is comfortably over, no need to even mention assets.
3. Always better safe than sorry! Some consulates do not accept co-sponsors though.
4. Copies are fine- most people file electronically and have no originals anyway.

hi there.

what if they are 4 of them in the household but he doesn't have any dependent, would that be counted? Would the additional salary requirement apply?

Thanks

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHELP: I-134 Affidavit of Support
Hi Vjers!

We are now on the process of gathering papers for the interview and as a requirement, we need to provide I-134 Affidavit of Support and its supporting documents.

What is the exact amount of 125% above poverty line or how much should be the minimum salary of my fiancé?

Does the CO is particular on the salary only? what if he don't have that much personal or real estate property?

Is it ok to get a co-sponsor even if my fiancé’s salary is more than the required salary, just to make sure that we will get approve? Does the CO

Original Income Tax Return is needed or a copy is fine?

Thanks in advance.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresIs Petitioner's Birth Certificate and Legal Capacity to Marry required??

K-1ers don't need a Legal Capacity to Marry.

Also, there seems to be no need to wait for the NSO. According to the VJ Guides, the petitioner should send the beneficiary a copy of the I-129F packet. Included in that packet will be the following:

Copy of the Birth certificate (front and back) for the US Citizen or a copy of ALL pages of the US Citizen's passport issued with a validity of at least 5 years or a copy of the US Citizen's naturalization certificate (front and back). This is used to establish citizenship.

VJ Guides.

So glad, no need for all of that ;-)
As I can remember, my fiance submitted I-129F file along with the Naturalization Certificate.

Thanks for all your reply.

Hi VJ'ers,

We are just wondering if Birth Certificate and Legal Capacity to Marry are required for interview for K1 Visa.
Because we are reading some post that includes both. My fiance was born in Philippines and became naturalized US citizen. He can request for birth certificate to NSO but it will take 2 months for them to deliver.

We would really appreciate your advice. Thanks in advance.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresVisa Payment and Medical while in transit?
Hi! Hope everybody is doing well with their respective journey.

We filed our K1 case to US Embassy Abu Dhabi but we requested them to transfer to US Embassy Manila since we have given a long waiting time for our interview date. According to them, they transferred the file to US Embassy Manila last Oct 6 but as per US Embassy Manila, they have not received it yet.
We want to know if we can start the process, like paying the visa fee to BPI and do medical while waiting for the file to arrived in US Embassy Manila.

Note: Our case number is still not updated. We still have our ABD Case number.

Your answers are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNeed to file Change of Address after POE?
Hi everyone,

Quick question about whether to file a change of address form.

Basically, when my fiance (the USC) filed the I-129F, she listed my brothers address in the US as the address where I (the K1 beneficiary) would stay. But for the interview at the embassy, we decided to list her address as my US residential address. I did my US entry a few days ago and listed her address on the I-94.

So my question is: do I have to file a change of address form? I want the USCIS to have her address on record as my residential address. Also, is it a requirement that everyone on K1 has to file the change of address form after entering the US?

Would appreciate any thoughts?
Thx.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHELPT! k-1 visa for my fiance and k2 visa for our daughter! PLEASE HELP!
hi everyone! hope you could help me out and be able to answer all my questions. thank you so much in advance.

i am a US citizen by birth in guam USA from a filipino citizen parents. i have a US passport, but when i was 3months old, my parents send me to philippines with my aunties because no one will take care of me in USA because both my parents are working. so me and my brother went to the philippines with my mother. my father stayed in guam to work. but didnt also stayed long enough because he was sent to Dubai UAE to work. so i grew up in the philippines with my brother, also a US citizen by birth in guam. after a few years my mother also went to Dubai to work with my father. we, me and my brother studied in the philippines, until Grade 3, then we went also to Dubai to continue our studies and be with our parents there. after graduating High school in UAE at 2004, we went back to Philippines to study college, leaving my parents in Dubai to continue working in order to support us financially.

During my 3rd year in college (sept 2007) as BS nursing student, i met alfred, who is my fiance now. we started to have a relationship by december 2007. since then i told him that i will not stay long in the philippines because after graduating i will be going back in Dubai then USA to work as a nurse. so i wanted him to go with me in USA. i searched in the internet on what and how the visa could be applied in the future. but after graduating, we were blessed to have a baby, our daughter. but we planned not to get married first and just do it in the near future. my parents was then in the philippines because of my graduation, then they ask me to go back with them in Dubai and then from there i will go back in USA and just deliver my baby there. but because my condition as being pregnant is not that safe, when i am alrady in dubai, i was always crying because i miss my fiance who was in the philippines, i went back in philippines after 2 months in dubai instead of going in USA. my parents we're worried because we dont have immediate relatives in USA to take care of me when i deliver.

december 2009, my baby girl was born, i couldn't go to USA by that time because i need to take care first of my newborn baby girl. july 2010 my fiance went to Dubai, as requested by my parents, so that he can work to support me and my baby financially. december 29, 2010 me and my baby went to dubai to visit my fiance and my parents, february 2011 we went back to philippines because my baby visa is going to expire. july 2011 started my review in philippines for Licensure exam in California USA. october 2011 i started filing my application for licensure exam, while waiting for the result of my application i worked as data encoder in pampanga. March 2012 my fiance went to philippines for a vacation. April 26, 2012 he went back in dubai to continue his work. May 3, 2012 i decided to go to dubai to work first while waiting for the result of my application for licensure in california to be approve. now i am working in dubai since June 24, 2012. and the plan of living in USA with my fiance and our daughter is still a plan and dont know where, when and how to start it.

after the long story above. please help me...

1. me and my fiance are working in dubai, can we still file the k1 visa? our daughter is in the philippines with my aunt, can we still file for k2 visa? since i am in dubai, where can i file? is it required that i should be in USA to be able to file the k1 and k2 visa? because i read something on other forums sites that the US citizen must be in the US when filing for k1 visa for fiance.

2. the sponsors to prove that we will not be a public charge in USA. since i am working in dubai, and dont have a job in USA, meaning i cant be a sponsor? so i need to find a co-sponsor? can my parents sponsor for both of us? my fiance also have relatives in las vegas USA, can they be a co-sponsor? how many sponsors are allowed? my fiance's have 4 auntie , 1 uncle in lasvegas who are currently working there too.

3. does my fiance need to go back in philippines when i file the k1 and k2 visa? or no need? because we have US embassy in dubai and abu dhabi in UAE.

4. how about the police clearance requirement for my fiance, where will that be coming from? in the philippines? or in DUbai police station?

5. k2 visa for my daughter, will that be possible if she is in the philippines and me and my fiance are in dubai?

6. i also want to file a CRBA for my daughter to acquire US citizenship and be able to have US passport, since she was born to a US citizen mother out of wedlock. they are requiring me to have at least 1 year continouis physical presence in US before my baby is born. is there any other solution for these? because i dont have a 1 year continouis presence in US. i was only 3 months old when my parents sent me to philippines.

please.. i need help so i can start and meet my biggest dream, to live in USA with my family...
