K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresMy interview experience
QUOTE (abspears @ Sep 4 2008, 05:28 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hello Vj's

I just got home from the embassy for my interview, I am so sad things didn't go well for me. i've been interviewed two times. First at the consul then they told me to be back at 1pm for another interview. My second interview is at the Fraud unit. We were 7 applicants 4 K-3's and 3 K-1 applicants. Four of us the problem was we met our spouses/fiances through our relatives and we never thought that will be a big disadvantage for us. The consul thinks our marriage was just a fixed marriage because it was my Aunt who introduced to us with each other and the fact that we just only met once in person and then got married right away. I told them Bill and I known each other for more than two years and though we were just talking on phone, texting, chatting and sending emails and mailing cards by then we fell in love with each other and that feeling remained when we met in person and we decided to get married ASAP because we love and don't want to lose each other. But hell, they're not convinced yet. So they set me another interview at 1pm @ room 1206. When i went to room 1206 that was i realized that the room i'm going to is a FRAUD UNIT. I feels like "Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? bakit ako pinapunta dito ano kala nila sa kasal namin fake?" whistling.gif

My fellow applicants kept asking each other why we are here, what's the problem? Afterwards we filled-up papers Q&A about all the details of the relationship like how i we met, did we go out for dates when we were together, time and place of the wedding, how many guests, have you've been courted before, did your spouse gave you an engagements ring, where did he buy,if there's an engave inside blah blah blah...huh!!!!
My co-applicants has been sheduled to come back on the 30th,the other is on the 11th, an the other one is tomorrow.Lucky for me and the two we got interviewed right away. But GUYS I"VE NEVER BEEN INTERVIEWED IN MY WHOLE LIFE LIKE THAT. My interviewer was a filipina woman but i can't speak in tagalog..haha.
She asked me every lil details about the relationships but my mind go crant when she asked me about my hubby's ex-wives like how was your husband and his 1st wife known each other, where an what is her job "HAY NAKU MALAY KO BA?!!!"i just told her i on't know maam. Another thing she looked at the wedding photo an she said my husband is not interested or serious on our weing day because his hand was in his pocket "OH, GOOD LOR, IF SHE ONLY KNEW MY HOW HAPPY AND EXCITED MY HUSBAND WAS THAT TIME...I've been interviewed for an hour but i think she just stopped asking me because i cried so much when he asked about my grandparents, she asked my why i said my lolo is dying..Then she console me and said "perhaps, this is not your time yet to get a visa because of your lolo, go and get a plane ticket and be with him first." then she gave a paper which stating i have to call the embassy to schedule of interview "AGAIN" and the mails that i mailed to my husband. But before i left the room she gave me a prayer paper.I was so touched

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresHow to take our Nanny/Houskeeper
QUOTE (Hoot @ Mar 15 2009, 11:21 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hello:

I filed an I-130/I-129F for my wife and 2 step children on January 30 of this year. Our family consists of 3 children all under the age of 10. We would like to bring our housekeeper/nanny with us to the USA. She is also my wife's sister in law and the kids are very comforable with her. Is this possible ??? Where can I research this ??? Thank you.

Hoot

Plenty of nannies you can hire without importing one. To the US Gov't, a nanny is a nanny is a nanny and since there are plenty of nannies here in the US already, there is no import another one.

The question suggests you don't know much about "skilled trade" visas (I don't know much either actually). The basic criteria, however for these types of visas is: can someone with whatever skill easily be found in the US. If someone has a super special skill like, for example, a world class brain surgeon, that person could easily get in the US. We have room for world class brain surgeons, but no room for another nanny.

Even people who are software engineers can't get into America very easily (Indian has many of them that would like to come, but can't so imagine how far down the list a nanny would be).

Best of luck to you.

If she doesn't have any problem in her first day, she will know the result of her first day of medical on the second day. It is better to take the medical in the afternoon based on our experience (DENMAR and I)

Hello to all of my dear vj family,

I already got my visa last Feb. 24. It was delivered in my hometown. Just this afternoon, I intend to come home to check the entire envelop. Something got me confused. I hope you can help me figure this out:

1. The envelop contains my passport with the visa and there was this yellow envelop which has a warning sign "DO NOT OPEN". I was wondering that on the upper corner of this envelop it has a cut which I can almost see some of the documents. Is this normal? Or should I return this to the embassy.

2. I am about to attend my seminar at PRISM on Monday. One of the requirement is Immigrant Data Summary. Where can I find this document? I thought, this is included in the packet together with my visa?

Thank you in advance for your time. I will really appreciate your help.

God bless star_smile.gif

I suggest you to go to ST. MARYS for your CFO simenar, they didn't ask the Immigrant Data Summary. By the way, this is my first time to hear about Immigrant Data Summary.

Good luck...

US Citizenship General DiscussionCivics Test
Also, warn her about multiple choice when she can only select 1 answer and 2 answers are actually right. The correct answer, when there are 2 correct answers, is the one which exactly pertains to the question. That sounds logical, but during the test, it isn't so logical. There will be key words in the question and key words in the answer which match like if the question is about "seeing" something and there are 2 answers, 1 about seeing and 1 about hearing, but both are right, pick the one about "seeing." A lot of people get hung up when there are 2 right answers and they wonder which to pick, you have to look very carefully at the key words in the question and answer and which ever creates a match, that is the correct answer. If she looks for the key words that match, she won't say to herself during the test, "but both are correct," instead she'll begin matching the meaning of the key words in the question and answer to find a match.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionHi! Please help. Police report affect Removing condition?
QUOTE (Nathan_Neren @ Feb 28 2009, 06:19 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
So now I'm just wondering if it will affect our filing of Removing condition?

You will be removing YOUR conditions, not "OUR" conditions. It is YOUR filing. Keep that in your mind first and foremost. The conditions are on you, on your status here in America.

If your husband is beating you, you need to document as best you can all that has happened. Your conditions can be removed without his involvement. When conditions are removed, what weighs heaviest on the decision to remove is whether or not your marriage/relationship was bonafided. So, as long as your relationship was bonafided, you have no worries.

I'm sure others will pipe in with more encouragement.

So sad that you think the love that you have for him will overcome the issues in his past that makes him resort to violence. One sided love will not fix anything and likely the more devoted you are, the more he'll feel enabled to beat you.

Hi there,

Stop worrying. As long as the birth certificate is from the NSO, it is authenticated and valid. Security paper is what we usually called the paper where the document we requested from NSO is printed. As for CRS, it is the computer program that NSO used for generating the documents requested. To my knowledge, CRS stands for Civil Registry System.

thank u so much for the knowledge that u gave...now no worries at all...by the way i saw your video at "ONE TRUE MEDIA" wow...very nice video...both of you are really in love with each other...very inspiring video...

PhilippinesIF YOURFIANCE GOES TO THE INTERVIEW...
Hello my VJ's family....i am here again to us your help...

if your fiance goes to the interview, is it okay for him/her to go to the windows which you are called to with you? Does he follow you to the windows or does he/she just sit in the waiting area until he is called. "I've heard" 90% of all interviews are conducted without the petitioner and I'm assuming that is because 90% of the time the petitioner isn't there. So the question is, when the petitioner is there, how often is he/she interviewed with the applicate?

Yes, right you got documents for both Rosalie and Maruja... But I suggest that use Rosalie in forwarding your name to Delbros, since you said name change has granted already... This is no difference from correcting typo errors in BC, of course, you will use the one which is correct (the one you are using) you won't specify the "other" spelling...

To clarify, "Rosalie" is used on every bit of paper relating our immigration process. There really is no mention of Maruja other than the documents involving the legal name change. This name change documents were included with the I-129F.

I really don't fully understand the DV process. Delbros verifies documents that the Embassy doesn't have yet? I mean, Rosalie is bringing documents to the Embassy, the Embassy hasn't seen her documents yet Delbros is able to verify them? It seems backwards. It seems Delbros should have in-hand what Rosalie submitted, then verify. Know what I mean? Maybe it should not be called "document verification?"

What we are concerned about is this scenario: Rosalie submits a police report with her current name and the CO says to her: you've only been Rosalie for nearly a year so we need to verify that Maruja didn't commit any crimes. Rosalie has a police clearance in Maruja's name too, but if Delbros doesn't know to verify the clearance in Maruja's name, will the Embassy (CO) be okay with this.

I might be taking the term "document verification" too literally. Yes or No... ??

Hi Rosalie! Delbros does not do the document verification per se. It is only a collecting agent and the one that sends the request by USEM for document verification to the NSO. So basically, it is the NSO that does the document verification by issuing another set of documents that are the same as what you have submitted to the Embassy or NVC for that matter.

With regard to your change of name, the controlling document will be the amended BC, i.e., the one that states that your name is Rosalie as changed. There will just be an annotation or remarks on the side that such a BC was amended per court order blah, blah. Even if you have submitted a copy of this to the USEM before orduring your interview, the NSO will again be issuing another copy if you will be undergoing the DV. If you won't be, then the BC, CENMAR and others issued by the NSO may be enough.

You are wise in getting NBI and police clearances for both Rosalie and Maruja. Good luck!

hahaha...thank you for saying : "You are wise in getting NBI and police clearances for both Rosalie and Maruja" my fiance is wiser than me because that is his suggestion...thank you for sharing your opinion and i am glad that i have another new idea from you about my name change.

PhilippinesDELBROS VERIFICATION...
My VJ's family I have a name changed..... the story goes like this....

My name in Civil Registrar is Rosalie and in NSO is Maruja. I knew this when I started processing my passport last year. NSO told me to go to Civil Registrar and ask how to change my name to Rosalie, because I have used Rosalie since I was a kid. The Civil Registrar's Office told me what I needed to do and too make a long story short, I have already changed my name to Rosalie nearly a year ago.

My fiance used Rosalie on the K1 visa application which is correct, God bless him! smile.gif

My question is this: How do I get Delbros to verify both names? I'm afraid that Delbros will only verify Rosalie, but I've not been Rosalie for very long. The embassy could say: Rosalie has been verified, but the name "Maruja" also needs to be verified.

Take the police clearance as an example, if Delbros verifies that Rosalie has no criminal records, however doesn't check Maruja, the Embassy could say that Maruja needs to be verified too; because maybe I robbed a bank and killed the guards when I was Maruja, ya know?. haha! I didn't, but they could say that by changing my name, it hides my past. I just want to get Delbros to verify both names.

By the way, I did get CENOMAR, NBI and Police Clearances in both names. I didn't want the Embassy saying, you have a CENOMAR in Rosalie's name, how do we not know that Maruja was ever married?

My VJ family, I want to get your opinion regarding this matter. All of your opinions are very appreciated. .

Thank you so much.

GOD BLESS US ALL.

Hello everyone,
Izel went to her interview today and received a pink and blue slip. The blue slip says that they need more information about my income.

I have my own business and reported $40,000.00 annual income on my I 134. I submitted 11 months of bank statements from my business. My 2007 income tax return. My W-2's from a job that I had last year and a 1099 for income from unemployment as well as income from my business. I have a contract with a customer for a retainer of $1500.00 per month which the customer gave me and I submitted along with 4 months worth of pay stubs from that customer. I also submitted one of each of bank statements from 2 different personal accounts showing a moderate amount of money in each. I also submitted my deposits into Izels account for the allowance I give her each month. I hate to be so open about this but I am really confused as to what else I can provide that will show I can support Izel.

The blue slip just says that they need more supporting evidence about my financial situation and whether I can actually support Izel or not. Izel went back to the Embassy and the person she talked to told her I needed to submit pay stubs from my employer. DUH? I called the Embassy and got the same dumb ### answers that I have always received when I have called there. "Just submit something Sir but we can't tell you what".

If anyone has any constructive information or ideas as to what the consulate might be looking for, please let me know. Thanks for the replys.

I had been self-employed for 12 years when I sent my I-134, and own my own house. I stated that on the I-134, with less income than you are reporting. I think if you are self-employed, you should send your previous two years worth of tax returns as well as the latest return. At least, that is what I did, sent three years worth of returns, and we had no problem. Later, when I filed for AOS, they just asked to see the current year, since the rest were already on file.

Congrats ! What a wonderfull gift for you this holiday season. Have fun and enjoy all you have worked for. We have 3 more weeks until our interview. Im gettting so anxious now. I can only imagine how happy you must be . Could you tell me how many days after your interview did the visa arrive ? Ingat ka and Happy holidays Jim

Hello Jim...

Our interview was on November 25 and the Visa was at my house on Thursday, December 4. Delbros didn't leave my Visa, however since I was still in Manila with my fiance. I came home (Iloilo) on Sunday, December 7 and on Monday, December 8 I went to get my Visa from Delbros.

So November 25 to December 4, it takes only 9 days from my interview date.

I will go to Manila on December 17 for CFO and then take 10:30PM flight to San Francisco, California on the same day.

Good for you..!
By the way, when you were still waiting for your interview at the embassy, when did u paid DELBROS for the document verification fee? Cause I paid mine last Nov. 18, 2008 and my embassy interview is on Jan. 9..And I got a message from DELBROS today that they are refunding me of the said amount. Is it possible that I paid too early for the document verification fee?

Hope you'll help me..Please?

I paid my DELBROS last October. I got also a text messages from DELBROS that they will refund my 650 pesos. Actually no need to pay for 650 pesos in DELBROS because u will pay again 250 pesos in DELBROS inside the embassy. Sorry i forget to post about that friend.

Good luck for your interview...GOD BE WITH YOU IN YOUR INTERVIEW...
