My NOA2 was approved on 11/02 and a touch on 11/04 (assume they forward the package to NVC?) I called NVC for the past 2 weeks and they don't have my record in their system yet. I have been lurking around and see that NVC received the case about 2 weeks after NOA2. NVC told me to wait another 2 weeks and call back. Is this happen to anyone else before?


well we have the same case. our NOA2 dated 11/09 and a touch on 11/11 and yet NVC hasn't receive our case yet.. as of now we are just patiently waiting. good luck to all of us hope we hear from them soon!!

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionK2 Children and Biometrics



Hi all!

I just wanted to clear up some confusion that I myself, and I'm sure a few others had with regards to biometrics for K2 children when removing conditions.

What I have since discovered is that although the $85 filing fee for biometrics is taken for children under 14, they do not have to have biometrics redone.

This was the email I received from USCIS today much to my relief as I thought I would have to wait longer for an appointment for my son.


The status of this service request is:




The required biometrics for your son's Permanent Resident Card were successfully scanned from his I-485 material. Therefore, an appointment at the ASC is not necessary. Your son's card is currently in production. You should receive the card within 45 days.

Hope this helps anyone that may have been as confused as I was.

My questions:

Photocopy of visa? From what she told me, she received her visa in an unopened envelope that was supposed to stay unopened until her port of entry in the US in which US officials would then open it so how can she have a photocopy of her visa? I'm confused.


Also, does she get her CFO approval stamp/sticker right at the CFO? She was planning on going this week.

Please answer these questions. Thank you!

hello! i just had my CFO seminar yesterday ( cebu ) and i was there at 8am my time and was done with them at 3pm..your fiancee should bring the ff:

1. original and photocopy of her birth certificate
2. 2 valid ID's and a photocopy
3. original and photocopy of her passport
4. P250.00 as registration fee
5. legal documents of the petitioner (eg. photocopy of passport, divorce decree, b-certificate...)
6. a photo of you together.

you cannot set an appointment in there so better tell your fiancee to be there before the registration time 8am-9am coz they will just entertain 15 persons each day and you dont know how many persons will be attending seminar on that day.after the guidance and counseling she will be given a " guidance and counseling certificate of attendance " which she will going to present to the CFO office to get her "guidance and counseling certificate" and of course a fee of P400.00 will be paid to...after her interview or if she had her visa on hand she will just present the "guidance and counseling certificate to the CFO officer to get her CFO sticker. hope that will help.

you dont need to have a local police clearance, but if you been out of the country and stayed 6 months or more then you need to get a Police Clearance (from the country you stayed in) during my interview the pre-screener asked me if i've been out of the country for more than 6 months and i've never been so she just asked me to give to her the NBI.

my POE was Detriot too.. I travelled last Feb.21 with my daughter with NWA. at Detriot, from getting off the plane we walked leading to the immigration, there is a sign that you can follow and a person in-charge and will instruct you where you will gonna fall in line.( good she was a pinay! she talked to me in tagalog and instructed me what to do ) as first immigrant you will fall in line to the VISITORS side..the other side is for the US citizen..you should fill-out the form I-94 and the custom declaration sheet and hand carry it together your important docs. the immigration officer will ask the docs. and ask you some questions, taking the finger prints and then take photos, if you're done with him he will instruct you what to do next. you will then get you're luggage and exit but they will check again your things and will ask you if you bring some foods...what kind of foods...they will ask if you are first immigrant, then after that they will instruct you to follow the green arrow leading to customs checking area..they will check your things again and they will ask you the customs declaration sheet after you're done you can exit...

***just be observant, and if you have some questions dont hesitate to ask someone.

I am just curious because I have bought a couple of bags and purses from Greenhills for my personal use so I am wondering if they would check them and will hold me when they see those designer bags? well i brought some bags like that too and put them in my luggage, they didn't really open the luggage and also the carry-on bags, of course after getting your luggage and you exit they will check if that things are really yours and also i just show them the foods that i brought coz the officer wanted to see it. your things will pass through an x-ray machine anyway.

had my medical last jan.31 for k1 and k2. we went at st.lukes 1pm and everything was fine, had my x-ray, blood extraction, urine, eye exam and PE.my daughter had her PE, height and weight checked..we were done at 5:30PM the doctor ask me and my daghter (3 yr.old) to come back the next day for the tuberculine skin test, coz the result of the TST is readable 2 to 3 days so she decided to give the test friday so that it can be read by monday. that was ok for me since i just stayed at cherry blossoms which is a walking distance from st.lukes.

my daughter's TST is negative there is no swelling or lump at the enjection site even if she has given BCG when she was infant. ( i really thank god for that ) after the tst reading we had our vaccinations..

*btw make sure that you bring your daughter's or son vaccination record for them ( the doctors ) to have a comparison and which vaccination is appropriate. make sure also that it has no erasures!!! in my case i had the vaccination record of my daughter but sadly it has erasures in her name and mispelled! the doctor ask me to secure another copy but i told her that if i do that there will be no enough time since my interview is coming ( feb.8 ) and i have to get that in Davao which really takes time, so she decided to repeat all the vaccinations that my daughter had and give what is needed and she added that there is no risk of doing that so i did agree. so basically we're done with the medical at feb.4..

*during the interview there were no questions ask to her..

i got my visa today!!! 12:45 noon!!! delivered here in CEBU.. i was expecting to receive it early next week coz when i call the embassy yesterday (feb.14) they say it will be delivered early next week. but it amazed me when the delivery man arrives!! im so happy!!! and thank you LORD!!!!

Take time to enjoy while you're still in the Philippines. You're going to miss a lot by the time you'll get here... you'll miss the little details, maski na ang jeepney ride. I miss Cebu a lot, I miss every corner of Ayala. It was my second home way back my college days. There's just so much fun in Cebu, so much fun at Ayala... the food, the people, and all the kikay things that a woman could want... I miss shopping for shoes, the different style and colors, the movies, the restaurant, the fun...

I would advise that you do the process with scrutiny, but also try to enjoy each day of it... go out with friends, and most especially, try to spend more time with your family... visit your nephews and nieces, you can try putting them to bed, play with them and hear them laugh, the memory will linger in your "happy thoughts"... You can also cuddle your Mom at night and be amazed with how it feels. It's the little things that brings great joy... And then when you step on the plane on your way here, norture those memories with you... it's amazing and it's priceless...:-)


bitaw, wala jud ta kahuna-huna before, daghan baya unta taga cebu..anyways i been to Tabor Hills before, nindut cya nga place, solemn and peaceful jud..pwede mo maka pray all together, naa man sad sila simbahan and chapel. basta nice cya nga lugar.

sakto jud ng gi ingon nimo te sha, made every single minute of your time worthwhile mintras naa pa mo sa inyong family and friends. and to all who will join the Cebu EB good luck and enjoy nalang, unsaon di man ko ka attend. next time nalang dri sa US.. hehehe

in my case, since my daughter is just 3 years old and doesnt know how to write her name yet, I just wrote her name in the signature area and signed beside it and put the word "mother" in an open and close parenthesis and i dont have problems with it.
