USCIS Service Centers	I'm so depressed :( come on vsc!!	Wow, sorry to hear that. Why are they against Brazilian immigration?   'Cause they are trying to extradite a brazilian citizen accused of murder her husband but it goes against our constitution. National Visa Center (Dept of State)	Anyone from TSC K1 fiance please comment when you get a case number!!	Guys, we finally got our case shipped today!! It took 29 days from the noa2. But I gotta say, I don't think this would happen today without our congressman's help!!   There's one thing I want to make clear here for those who don't know what is going on and why this is taking so long. All this waiting to get the new case number after the noa2 is NOT NVC's fault, although they always say it can take up 8 weeks, this is just the deadline they have, but the real delay is from Texas Service Center.   It had been 4 weeks since we got the noa2. We sent several emails to different email addresses (NVC & TSC), we called NVC almost everyday and still hadn't got anything. Then, my fiance decided to try the Congressman again (he contacted him when we were waiting for the noa2 for 5 month and a few hours after the congressman's assistant made a phone call to TSC we got the noa2. Coincidence? maybe). The assistant called TSC again and guess what?! The attendant confirmed that our case hadn't been sent to the NVC yet and she also told him that they are having trouble with cases transferred from Vermont! Shortly after he talked to TSC my fiancé received an email saying that our case was shipped today! Another coincidence? I don't think so...   Edited by Brad & Kelly, 20 August 2013 - 05:14 PM. OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!!!!!!   We just got the email to say that we've been shipped!!   Our NOA2 date was just last week - I was expecting it to take weeeks!!!!   I did email our congressman yesterday but I doubt they had chance to even read my email and make a call!   WOWEEEEE!!!!  Sooo Happy!!!   OMG! That's awesome!!!! When were you transferred to TSC? Our noa2 was monday, a few hours after the congressman's assistant made a phone call to USCIS... we are thinking about contacting him again next week, I hope it helps again!! Hey guys, I didn't get the noa2 yet but I'm really worried about this since my case was transferred to TSC and this delay can change all our plans Well, there is one thing I don't understand. If all of you are calling the NVC and they didn't get the case yet (and they say its taking up to 8 weeks), why don't you guys call the TSC? Or use the congressman/senator, whatever you could do to contact the TSC. I may be totally wrong but it sounds to me that the only reason its taking so long is because TSC haven't send the cases to NVC yet and the obvious thing to do is to call them instead of NVC, TSC is the one holding it back! I've had a couple of people message me so I thought I'd make a thread.   Our petition at Vermont has just been approved - in 3 months, 1 week 6 days! I'm in disbelief, I think I've only just stopped shaking. I honestly didn't expect to hear anything for another 2 months at the earliest.   While we did send letters to our Congressman and Senators, we only did it on Friday. And according to the USPS tracking, they arrived Saturday. We haven't heard back from any of them yet, so I don't know if that affected anything or if we were just lucky.     My Fiance and I are over the moon, but I can't help feel bad for all those who have been waiting much longer than us. This system is so unfair. All I can suggest is that you contact Congressman and Senators, even if you are within processing time.   OMG! Congratulations! Happy for you guys, I've seen you on the Feb filers and I thought we had some in common... our NOA1 date is close to yours (and my fiancé is from TX, 2 hours from Houston). I wouldn't think it is a red flag if you are, nor his previous marriage. But you will have to ask others who are from Brazil on that, as every consulate has a different set of things they look out for, from what they've experienced. Please Pray for Us:)	Red flags are things that may appear to the consulate as something that may indicate the relationship isn't bonafide and that the fiance is just hoping to immigrate. These, if minor, can be overcome as long as the evidence of genuine relationship is strong. Examples might be previous visa applications by the beneficiary, a short time together, certain age gaps, things like that.   Thank you! I see what you mean... So, I'm wondering in my case if we have some "red flags". We do have age difference (12 years!), but I've never tried for a visa before, we have spent lots of time together (one time he spent a whole month with me), we first met in person through some friends we have in common, during spring break he brought his kids to meet me and we all spent a week together, we have lots of emails and pictures (with my family and his), I guess we have enough proof of a true relationship. My concern is if even with all evidences of our relationship they could still see our age's difference and the fact that he is divorced with 3 kids as red flags. What do you think? (I'm open for a honest answer).  PS I read their review about the interview and it was very tricky and hard, with about 25 questions, including questions about his last marriage. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	OMG, OMG, OMG!!!!! :D	I am soooo excited....I checked the USCIS website about an hour ago and i couldn't belive my eyes...My case is approved guys!!! I cannot describe the level of gratitud and happines i felt, God is good!!.....i prayed everyday, i wrote to the congresswoman, i wrote to the senator, i called all the time, i lost sleep, i cried almost everynight but it is finally here.   After 7 months exactly i can finally do my happy dance...woohoo!!!!!!       Thank you all for the words of encouragement, for all the answers and all the advices...i have been waiting for this day for so long!    Thank you God!   Congrats!!!! ( so sad to have this   Make sure your fiancé talks to his congressman and have faith! I really know how you feel, my fiance couldn't see me anymore upset with this... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	February 2013 filers K1	Guys, we got our NOA2!!!! ) After a period of frustration and tears (I bet you all realized it)... My fiancé had a meeting with his congressman's assistant today, he told me they talked a lot and it was really good, the guy seemed to be willing to help and so they went to the congressman's office and his assistant called USCIS (TSC), he gave them our case number and talked for awhile. When he hung up the phone he said our case had been assigned to an officer and they said it could take 30 days for a decision, but the assistant said it usually takes one week when he requires a position from USCIS... About 6 hours later my fiancé got a text and email.   It can be just a coincidence, but it doesn't hurt to try. Contact your congressman or senator!!   PS. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	February 2013 filers K1	The NVC issue is with those who were transferred to Texas, who are indeed having a difficult time right now. Our petition went from NVC to the embassy in 8 days and other people were similarly fast. Also, in our case, it was transferred electronically--no Fedex tracking. NVC's official response is "10 to 20 days," but it doesn't seem to ever take that long.   It's true that Texas transfers are having a hard time right now, but let's put things in perspective instead of generalizing and making other people upset needlessly. Waiting for NOA2 is nerve-racking enough without the doomsday gossip.   This is true. Guys, if you were not transferred to Texas, you have "nothing" to worry about. You should thank God you were not transferred cause your time is coming soon... But if some of you have been transferred, I do recomend to face the truth and realize that a November Wedding is hardly possible! (in our case, our time is getting farther instead of sooner). We were planning on a november wedding too and we even got a little excited when we were transferred 'cause the VSC was horrible during the time our case was there, now Texas is even worse!! We have no idea when we'll receive the noa2 and even after we receive it, it's known that NVC won't work on it for at least 1 month!! I wish our country had visa waiver so i could at least visit him in usa...didnt want him to lose all the money he has been saving for the past year just to spend 20days with me here in the phils.... (   I feel the same! I am hopeless. This process is getting even more complicated, the TSC is a joke! They are approving too slow and if that wasn't enough they are not sending the cases to NVC. My fiance's congressman called them a week ago and they said we should get a decision within 30 days. That is BS!! There are so many cases before ours and they are too slow. It seems like this will never end! and even if we get the noa2 now it could take 6 to 8 weeks untill NVC send it to the embassy in Brazil!? What the #######?? This is so frustrating! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	February 2013 filers K1	Some of us have mined the USCIS website for information on petitions around our dates.  The way we do this is to take the number from your case, which you use to see updates about your case, and start putting in new case numbers by adding (or subtracting) 1 to the case number to see a nearby case and it's status.  Keep adding (or subtracting) 1 to the new case numbers and if you go a few hundred up and down from your case, you can get a pretty decent little bit of information on cases surrounding yours.  Of course you want to ignore non-I-129F cases as their processing won't be similar to yours.  That is basically what they are talking about.     Thanks for the explanation. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	February 2013 filers K1	Today I went back about 200 numbers and this is what I came up with: 13 I-129f's (9 of which are within 20 digits of mine) 4- Initial Review filed mid to late February (Mine is one of these) 1- RFE June 10 1- Withdraw June 4 4- Initial Review (Also filed mid to late February) About 200 numbers from mine: 1- Approved June 7 1 Initial Review (Early February) 1- RFE June 10 1 Initial Review (Also looks to be an early February filer) I did have a sheet of about 500 numbers, but I seemed to have misplaced it. I don't know when these were filed, I can only make an assumption that they were filed sometime in February. It gives me some hope that it could be sooner than I was expecting. Think this week could be a good week for February filers!   I don't understand any of this. What kind of stat is this? Can you explain what all these numbers means?
