Our I-130 was approved in less than a month. Receipt Notice was dated 03/13/2009......Approval notice says....The above petition has been approved. We have sent the original visa petition to the NVC,..........However, please allow 90 days before calling NVC if the beneficiary has not received correspondence from the NVC"...................

My husband did tried calling NVC a few times hoping to get a case number from them....and AVR says...no record found........

Question:
Do we have to wait for 90 days even for a case number? My I-129F still pending at USCIS though............Are we on AP?

No AP but RFE possible at NVC stage depends on documents submitted. Case completion varies; best source is to call NVC.

Also I am curious about my I-129F which is still with USCIS and no approval yet, normally it gets approved before the I-130, any clue? It is nearly a month now that my I-130 was approved and 129F on the other hand still pending with USCIS waiting for approval...geez....so confuse here.......

I called them everyday the operator told me 90 days. They finally assigned case# after 18 days they assigned my K3 case# after 4 days, I have seen many posts where people have not waited for case# to be assigned and others who have waited and waited but not necessarily in AP.

You don't need her passport right now for you to file the I-130.

I got married last month (Jan) and my husband has all the papers needed for I-130. Certified true copy of our marriage certificate, passport photos, signed G325A (for myself) and a notarized evidence of bona fide marriage from third party. I guess thats what you needed for filing K3. Good luck and GOD Bless.

Hi,

In my case, we did not apply for CR1 rather K3 hoping to be with my husband soon, however our I-130 got approved in a month while my 129F (K3) is still pending with USCIS.

Our case is with NVC and we are still waiting for the Case Number and some were lucky enough to get it soon and some waited for weeks.

To answer your question.....yes we sent the same documents for I-130 and I-129F.....If you read carefully the wikiguide...you will get the entire picture of the process....it took me days to understand not fully though coz i still ask for guidance from our fellow VJ members who happen to have the same case as ours.

Both petitions were approved and still no NVC case number? I-130 was approved last March 13 2009 and I-129F April 06,2009. Any idea why they did not give us a case number for both? Its very frurstrating, people on AP or AR....they have their case number......we have no clue what so ever...AVR and live operator say the same answer..............

We got approval of our I-129F (K3)...........Since we are pursuing CR1 from my approved I-130, how can we cancel or drop the approved 129F?...should my husband call the NVC or USCIS and inform them that we want to pursue CR1?

Well, its very agonising coz we dont have a case number for our approved I-130 but surely it will be soon..........we are new to this and we really appreciate if you can guide us how to go about it. We want to drop our 129F before they send it to Manila Embassy...........pls guide us.......

Question for PSHBRK & HAOLE,

Good Day.

1)
My husband filed for K3 at CSC and fortunately I-130 was approved in 28 days. He's been calling NVC everyday for a case number and got the same response, well yesterday it was not his day 'cause NVC live operator was not in good mood and he was told .............did u read the 797 approval notice? that will answer to all your question...so wait as per the notice..............(sigh).........hehehehe....bummer!...now we decided to wait for 90 days before calling NVC again and if we get our case number sooner, it would be a miracle. however its very frustrating though.

2)
Since K3 and CR1 almost the same time frame we will opt for CR1 this way we will save some BUCK$$$$ and less hassles when i get to the US.

PSHBRK & HAOLE............My 129F for K3 still pending at USCIS (Niguel, Laguna). We dont want to cancel it and would rather wait till it gets approve. how can we cancel the approved I-129F? do i have to write USEM in Manila or can my husband write a letter to NVC to cancel the approved I-129F and proceed CR1 instead?

We know it's too early to asked but its good to be prepared now rather than caugt off-guard. I dont want to post last minute question on in here and getting paranoid.

I have posted a question earlier for HAOLE but i think i posted in the wrong forum.

Like I mentioned earlier, NVC still holding my approved I-130 petition (K3 originally), well not even a case number and still waiting.

Now, we just got a letter confirmation from NVC that my approved I-129 has been forwarded USEM, Manila. We want to pursue CR1, now my packet 3 will be send anytime soon from the Embassy, what should I do? Should I delay sending the packet 3 back to them? we are hoping wil getl a word from NVC for my I-130.

I need your inputs on this....if you can guide us to the right path.....of course $$$$ does matter to us too......

NBI= Stands for National Bureau of Investigation.
But I think it is only in the Philippines.
Foreign country like USA is called FBI tongue.gif

cool info............how about WAMU or Chase Manhattan bank? may supplementary Debit and Credit card ako from hubby......so in short pwede ko na yon gamitin? i used the credit card quite few times pero yon na nga may transaction charges tapos per transaction yon... blush.gif ......seriously, we want to stop using Western Union medyo mabigat na sa balikat ni fafa..............mga inday, naguluhan na rin ako, baka WU pa rin bagsak namin...salamat po.....from your bisaya vj friend.

Maraming salamat sa topic...pwede ko na ba sabihin OP or SO? hehehehehe.....a big help for me.!!!!!....baka mag file nang bankruptcy asawa ko kasi mahal ang Western Union.....so, if we say bank account here, is it the account should be in US Dollars? or the Peso account will do................hindi pa namin na try ang direct transfer to peso account for the reason.......

1) Western union/Moneygram has better rate from USD to Peso........ (at least the current market peso rate)

2) Banks i.e. BDO or every bank has their own dollar rate which is way lower than the market rate...at least P 7-10 a $....so malaki na rin yon di ba?..........

3) So, kung magpadala mga hubby namin from US to our Peso account pareho ba exchange rate?......every penny count na ngayon...lalo na recession...hehehe
