IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresSending DS 230
I have instructed my Wife in Colombia to set up the packet the same way and to keep an exact copy for herself.

Quick question though, just to make sure I have it straight,

I'm the petitioner, I'm in the USA
My wife is in Colombia

Does the the DS 230 need to be sent by her in Colombia since she has to sign it, or do I send it from here. I don't get that part. I'm thinking it needs to be sent from Colombia since she needs to sign it.

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresThree strikes and you're out?
QUOTE (naturegirl321 @ Mar 1 2008, 05:35 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
My husband was denied three times for a visa, twice for a tourist and once for a student visa, but seven years ago. If he applies again, will he get denied just because he was denied three times before?

Shouldn't be a problem. My fiance was turned down for student, visitor, and work visa. He will recieve his fiance visa next week or so. It was really easy for us with no problems. I know you will be applying for a different visa than the K1, but we thought the same, that it would be difficult. Just turn in a really organized packet, and keep your spirits up.

Good Luck,

Anna

If you are the USC petitioner and make above the 125% poverty guidelines then you can sponsor by yourself.

Thanks! I downloaded the example form and followed that one. Just want to get everything right! good.gif

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionSponsor
Hi,

I'm filling out the I-134 form (for the Sponsor) and it's confusing. Can I (the bride) be the sponsor? Or does it have to be someone other than the petitioner (like my parents). Thanks! helpsmilie.gif

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionVaccinations and police certificate for interview
Hi guys,

No worries about the vaccination records. Mayo couldn't find his and just redid all of them. He had 3 shots and blood and x-rays taken. He said it wasn't too bad, just hurt for about 2 days. We had the interview yesterday. It only took about 3 hours. Mayo said it was really easy, so no worries. Grrr, I can't figure out how to make a general post. I only know how to reply right now. LOL. Good Luck guys. Oh, get your medical done about 2 or more days before your interview. Mayo will pick up his Visa tomorrow (2 days after the interview), and he will be here next week!!! luv.gif
We are extremely happy! ^^ biggrin.gif
Thanks for all the support, and good luck. good.gif

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionGetting Ready for the Interview In PERU 3/12
Oh, our interview is Tuesday. I can't be there though. crying.gif
It seems you have everything. Good luck!
Do you know if they will hand you the visa after the interview or will they mail it? My fiance wants to wait to buy the ticket when he has the visa in his hands. Do you know if they typically give it to you in Peru or do they mail it? Thanks, and sorry to answer your question with a question. laughing.gif

QUOTE (Gringita/Morenito @ Feb 17 2008, 11:30 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I was just wondering if anyone else has experiences touches after NOA2. We received approval on 2/14/08 and have shown a touch every day since (including today, Sunday).....

Congrats as well on your NOA2...yeah it does look like we are neck-in-neck. I actually don't even know what a touch is, or how to see if i have one. Sorry I am answering you with a question...lol...but are you guys gathering things for the papers before they get to Peru? Or are you waiting? Also, when are we supposed to turn in the sponsor paper (and proof of being employeed, bank statements, etc). Good Luck!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresFILING PRESENTATION
Everything in order and clearly identifyable, in a large manilla envelope(with your name and K1 visa petition written on it), and then inside a hard postal mailing envelope.
It worked for me.
good luck
