USCIS Service CentersI received a I-797 transfer notice that case was moved from Vermont to Texas USCIS

I got my NOA 1 on Jan 7, 2013. On May 29, 2013 I got an I-797 notice that my case was transferred from the Vermont service center to the Texas service center. The notice stated that "the Texas service center has jurisdiction over my case". My question is why did it not go there originally? My other question is will they move me back to the bottom in Texas? It's been over 5 months now and we are ready to get our NOA 2 and get this thing moving. Anyone had a similar experience? Thanks! J

US Embassy and Consulate Discussionhow long between petition approval and fiance' receiving package

Ok guys...so what I'm hearing is this...we don't need to wait for her to receive any packet from the embassy in Manila. We can go ahead and schedule an interview and complete the med exam after a MNL case # is issued. Will she just need to bring ALL the docs at one time to the interview? I thought I read somewhere that the embassy wants you to send in some preliminary documents first before the interview. Could someone please clarify?

US Embassy and Consulate Discussionhow long between petition approval and fiance' receiving package

Ok guys...I just called the NVC. I had to wait 20 mins to talk to someone. I gave the lady my uscis receipt # and approval date and she said she did not see anything yet in their system and that she could not tell me anything unless its been 8 WEEKS! after the approval date. Does it really take that long for it to push through the NVC...my goodness that's 2 more freaking months. This whole process is so very ridiculous.

wow...thank u so much for the reply. SO once we have a mnl case # its already in their system and we can move forward. We already have all the paperwork ready for the interview but does she needs the medical exam first before the actual interview, right?

US Embassy and Consulate Discussionhow long between petition approval and fiance' receiving package

Hello folks. I got a letting confirming my petition approval on 07/22/2013. The letter said they were forwarding it to the consulate, but I'm aware that it goes through the NVC first. How long does it usually take before she will received her package in the Mail from the consulate in Manila? Will the NVC send me any notice saying that the petition has passed through NVC? It has been 3 weeks and she hasn't received anything as of yet.

Philippines221g additional requirements sent via 2go

Hey VJ experts...I need some quick help. My fiance went for her interview yesterday (09/12/2013) and everything went great except that they needed my 2012 income tax returns. I thought all I needed was my w-2's from the past three years. Anyways, when she told me I rushed to my office and scanned and sent them to her email to print out. The embassy said to send it back via 2GO courier service. When she got to the 2GO office in Alabang they asked her if it was an ":immigrant" or "non-immigrant" visa she said "non-immigrant", which is true of the K1, however, I told her the immigrant visa section of the embassy handles the K1. I'm now worried that 2GO is gonna send my 1040 to the wrong people and its gonna get lost in the shuffle. Should we just try to resent again to the immigrant section via 2GO or hope that the "non-immigrant" section of the embassy will forward the documents to the immigrant section? This is all that is waiting before she gets her visa issued and we are of course anxious. guidance please?

PhilippinesMEDICAL EXAM @ ST. LUKES IN MANILA, PH

Hey everyone. We have our interview set for 09/12/2013. My fiance will be going to St. Luke for her Exam next week. She is worried about an Impacted tooth that her dentist has been insisting to have extracted by surgery for the last three years. She suffers no pain from it, but it's obviously something to be dealt with. Is this gonna be a "hangup" or problem with successfully passing the medical exam??? She is planning to go to clinic today and have this procedure done which may have a 3-4 day healing process. Is this tooth issue gonna be a big deal to St. Lukes examination or can we put this off until after her arrival here? thoughts or insight please? thanks!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reportscalled NVC and they have given us a case #, several questions

Question #1...So now with a case # issued do I still need to wait until things are completely finished at the NVC and on its way to Manila before she can schedule interview/medical exam. I heard that its good for her to have copies of the actual NVC letter(s) with the case # on it when scheduling medical exam and interview. The rep at NVC could only say that its in "processing" there so I don't think its quite finished there yet and I still haven't received anything in the mail, YET.

Question #2...will I received 1 or 2 letters from the NVC updating the status of the visa approval?

Question #3...I have moved to a new address since I received my petition approval (noa-2). Of course I have began mail forwarding service with USPS, but do I need to file the AR-11. It appeared to me the AR-11 change of address does not apply to us citizens.

Any advice or answers are greatly appreciated!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresONE WAY TICKET WILL THERE BE ANY PROBLEMS

My finace is flying from MNL ==> Tokyo ==> ATL on 10/14/2013 on a one way ticket using a k-1 fiance visa. Will she encounter any issues because its a OW ticket? Surely they will see that she has the K-1 and will not returning (at least for a while). I've heard a couple of stories of people having issues if she they can't show a return flight...is this true? Any advice for those who have gone before us?? thanks
