Hijo de beneficiaria de visa K1

Hola,
Primero, su amiga esta tramitando K1 o CR1? Dices esposo, ya estan casados? Si estan casados no pueden tramitar la peticion K1/K2.
Yo solo tengo experiencia con K1/K2 tramites. No confundas la peticion con la visa son dos cosas diferentes. Primero se hace la peticion K1 y pago de applicacion, los ninos van incluidos en la misma peticion haci que no se les cobra solo benificiaro/a. En la NOA1 que recibe del USCIS solo vienen los nombres del patrocinador/a y benificiaro/a con numero del recibo de pago.
Despues cuando ya tengan aprobada la peticion (NOA2) se manda al NVC que lo manda al consulado donde van a tramitar la visa, es cuando se los cobra $350 por cada uno, mas todo lo que pida el consulado en su pais.

Wow, Ltapia, We also have our K1 interview on sept 9 @ 7:15am.
We will be in CDJ on sunday sept 4 since my fiancee has two children and they need to do medical monday (called clinic will be open Labor day) and wait till thurs to pickup results. ASC on wed. @ 1:40pm, interview friday.
Good luck...maybe we will see each other in the little waiting area on friday. Oh I just read your post again looks like only your fiancee is going to Juarez not both of you?

schedule interview with passports

can i schedule my fiances interview date with just her passport number? or do i need to have her kids passport numbers as well?

Yes you will need the kids passport numbers aswell if you plan to schedule your fiances interview at the same time as the kids interview. If you plan to have the kids interviews at a later time then all you need is your fiances passport for now. When I scheduled my fiances interview, the system asks if you want to add family members to that interview and then asks for each childs passport #'s aswell as MRV #'s (payment receipt).

CDJ DS-260 form

Hello,
I have a question about form DS-260, I (petitioner) have started filling out the form with my fiance on the phone in mexico relaying information to me since I don't have her documents in front of me. At the very start of the form on the instructions page it says that all the "required documentation" must be mailed to the NVC at a USA address after the form has been submitted. Is this true? I thought I simply printed out the completed DS-260 confirmation page and submitted all required documents at the consulate in ciudad juarez during the interview. Anyone who has completed this can you shed some light on this?

Proof of financial solvency/I-134 for juarez

I just got back from K1 interview in Cd Juarez on monday, all they took was my I134 with a copy of my employement letter and 6 recent paystubs, they did not even ask for tax returns. They did not even look at my birth certificate (I'm petitioner) or my divorce decree (I was previously married) or letters of intent to marry. But then Both me and my fiancee were interviewed which I guess does not happen often to K1'ers. More on my story posted in consulate reveiw section.

Cheapest/Safest way to get from El Paso to Ciudad Juarez?

Maybe this helps? I spent 8 days in Juarez last week and drove my car around the city, we went to several malls, supermarkets (S Mart is great) downtown to the cathedral and I felt very safe. People were out going about there daily lives, everyone was friendly, around the consulate it is very safe, no problems, except the coyotes. Yes I watched the news every night and on average 6 murders per day, 20 on the weekends..I never went out at night, just use common sense, you'll be fine.

Juarez Dhl Problem

No longer a minor(18 1/2). Well the point of this post was to ask if what we had was proper id.

We kind of had the same problem picking up our K2 visa for minor, the consulate took the birth certificate and passport (which is inside package). DHL in Mexicali BCN said we had to present a certified copy of the birth cert. not a photocopy, so we went down to registro civil and got a new copy ($600 pesos for rush service) the same day, my fiancee only had to show her credencial de elector.
Maybe you can call your DHL office and ask?

Are fingerprints taken at Ciudad Juarez interview to get a visa?

Yes you have to do fingerprints and pictures before the interview but they can be done at any CAS location of your choice. Yes they know pretty much all your criminal past in the US, so don't lie.

Hello, my stepson who is 10 had to do biometrics, they only take one finger print and picture as opposed to adults who do all ten fingers. But to answer your question yes they have to go.

Another affidavit of support question for CDJ

Thanks, I have been searching the CDJ reviews and seems like they are pretty relaxed on financial proof..maybe I'm just worrying to much.

Still unsure what to do, I really don't have anyone to co sponser me. Anyone else have advice? I read ChrisWR's review #8048 about their Cd. Juarez interview and got me worried.

Another affidavit of support question for CDJ

Hello,
Let me just say that I have found this site very helpful, thanks to all that have contributed their experiences.

My question is should I find a co sponser for my I-134 for interview in Cuidad Juarez?
My finace and her two children (K1/K2) have interview first week of september at consulate CDJ. I have been with my current employeer since sept2010 and this sept will be 1 year with them, before this I was unemployeed for almost 14 months (got severence package so spent almost all time in Mexico with fiance) I have employement verification letter stating that my position is permanent, date I started and yearly income of 32600 (meet 125% poverty line for 4 people)but my 2010 tax return only shows 10000 income since I only worked 4 months in 2010.
My 2009 taxes show income of 19000 since only worked 6 months, any advice/what should I do? Is employement letter and 6 months of recent paystubs enough?

Question about the interview in Ciudad Juarez

I guess use common sense just like any big city..my fiance and I have our interview in sept. and we were just planning on taking a picture of the rings. If they ask she can explain that she did not bring it for fear of getting it stolen, I'm sure they will understand.

Still waiting on CDJ...

Ours was just the invitation letter, we downloaded packet 3 off the CDJ website.
When you schedule your ASC and interview they show you a calendar with available times and you pick, usually as soon as 10-15 days if you so choose. This calender kind of reminded me of the SRE website to schedule an appt. to apply for a Mexican passport.

No Decision Issued after K-1 Interview in Juarez

I feel for you..sorry for the extra stress but if they kept his passport then he will be approved.
In my case my fiancee was returned her passport but must bring it back during the second interview (DNA collection). This was over emphisized to me by the officer, people not approved or case is still open get passports returned to them.

criminal background certificate in durango, MEXICO

In Baja California Norte it is called a Constancia de Antecedentes Penales and we got it at the SSP (secretaria de seguridad publica) takes about 20 minutes and $150 pesos. Check the SSP website in your state on how to get one.

We had it for the interview but the consulate in CDJ never asked for it, my fiancee has no crimanal record.

Is this still the case? If we get the letter in the US can we scan it and send it via email to print in Mexico? Is it needed for the interview?

Yes, this is what is called your invitation letter, you will need it for medical exam, CAS fingerprints and consulate interview. I made 3 copies here in US and gave to my fiance in Mexico, she never received anything in Mexico via postal service.

Fiancee Accompanying Fiance to the Interview

I guess if you don't have any kids (K2 visa) or previous marriages that might trigger the consulate wanting to interview the petitioner, as in my case (you can also see my review) it is not necessary for the petitioner to be at the interview. I just got back on monday (oct 24) from our 2nd trip to CDJ and I felt very safe around the consulate area. It does help not being alone, my fiance confessed that she would have fallen for the scam the coyotes pull on you outside the medical clinic.

ds-156 and ds156k question??? for cuidad juarez ...please help

Yes give fiancee all forms for her to sign during interview, depending how old step child is the parent also signs childs forms. You need to fill out DS-156 for your step child also but not DS-156K(only for fiancee) and don't forget I-134 for both fiancee and step child.
