IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsDS-260

You should be able to add the child at the day of the interview, assuming the child has all the necessary docs. It happens plenty of times, when a child is born after the NVC process and even after a visa has been issued.

You should contact the embassy to see what their particular process is because it can vary. If the child will require a medical, I'm not sure if it can be done if the child hasn't been added to the case, which is why you should find out if you can submit the paper version of the DS260 before the interview.

Worst case scenario, the child won't be issued a visa until you have all of their docs/medical/fees done. It shouldn't affect your visa being issued however.

We will have the documents for the child , but should not be needed . We are doing a CRBA before or after the interview depending what date Manila gives us . I am mailing that in this week and going to request a date in Oct around the time my wife will be there for medical and interview . All this traveling back and forth is costly !

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsDS-260

We have gone and past NVC and have our interview date already . Someone I know got a request at the Manila embassy for another DS-260 to be done to add a child born after the first DS-260 was completed . We have the same situation and would like to get this done before the day of the interview to avoid any hold ups . I have signed on to the NVC site and can only view not edit our DS-260 .

PhilippinesMarriage In The Philippines

We are planning to be married in the Philippines . I know that I need to get the Affidavit In Lieu of Certificate of Legal Capacity to Marry  . What else do we need to be able to do this ? My fiancee was married before on the K1 visa and is now divorced . She left on her own accord and went back to the Philippines in Nov 2012 . She does not have a copy of her final judgement . Will this effect us in any way ? The marriage was never reported in the Philippines , so her cenomar will show certificate of no marriage . Once we file for the CR-1 I know we will need that judgement for the USCIS  and US embassy concerns . I am planning to bring my final judgement of divorce , passport , and birth certificate . Anything else needed ? Also we are trying to get her judgement before we marry just in case .

Philippines21 day tourist visa

Tourist visit 30 days now.  You want a longer stay you can do that right at the airport as you clear customs, just tell them what your plans are.

Rather then post this since you replied Hank . We are going the CR-1 route . Can i send the packet from the Philippines or is best to send from the United States ?

Philippines21 day tourist visa

I will be traveling to the Philippines in 14 days and plan to stay for over the 21 days . I looked online and found the form to send to D.C. , but that requires to send your original passport . I do not want to run the risk of the loss of the passport with my trip so close . Is it easy to do this at the airport in Manila ? What would I need to bring with me ?

PhilippinesCasa Bocobo

What is up with the Casa Bocobo ? I made plans for the 24th-28th and decided to arrive early instead . Been trying to change my reservations and having the hardest time with them . I call and they act like it's mission impossible to do this . Sir you need to do this on the website . Then I look on the website and there is no option other then sending an email . No response at all ! Now I just want to cancel and go somewhere else . If this is a problem what others will I face once there . Anyone have problems with them before ?

PhilippinesPeople causing problems for us

Just an update and sorry I could not get back sooner . The internet here is not the best . Anyway the marriage is fine we have her Cenomar and she is single on it . I was able to get a copy of her divorce decree just incase . We filed the marriage license and will be attending a class for pre marriage counseling on Friday . That was something unexpected , but should only take a day . Hopefully all is well for the 15th :)

The main problem was the ex's filipina friend who has been causing all the problems . I appealed to her ex and told him of the situation and he helped to put an end to it . However they have both been foolish enough to post on Facebook the USCIS reporting threats . I have copied both of them and will keep it if needed . It's been almost 5 days now and all is quiet . If needed I will file a report when I return home .

PhilippinesPeople causing problems for us

I am currently in the Philippines and we are getting married soon here . A problem has risen from an ex husband and a filipina back in the states . My fiancee came over on a K1 visa back in 2012 . Her ex husband refused to file the AOS and the marriage fell a part . He was very insecure during the marriage and would always threaten that he would just send her back . With her mom having cancer she decided just to leave the states still married to that man . He divorced her without her knowledge and did so with claims of cruelty .

I met my fiancee months after all this in September 2013 and we fell in love . We have no lies within us and we both know our full stories of our lives . We both have had our share of a bad marriage and understand the truths that become rumors at some point . This is what has happened with my fiancee . This filipina insists on posting on Facebook rumors about her marriage . Even open threats about reporting to USCIS about that she just intends to immigrate to the US with me . This woman is a pastor , but yet spread lies and rumors everyday . Bringing my fiancee to tears and even has called her ex husband to beg him to stop . Her ex knows this woman and they live in the same town and state . I will not let this effect us , but she takes it hard , but I am here to keep her strong . It is just sicking that some people can not accept another happiness and just move on .

What can we do to protect against any threat with reporting to USCIS ? So far they have been dumb enough to do this in Facebook where I have been able to screen print the daily postings . What about the AOS that was never filed ? Any action against him for denying that from her ? She also went back home before the AOS was filed and chose to remain home in the Philippines . That must look good for her since there are many options she could have chosen to stay in America legally or illegally . I intend to file a police report of harassment against them since at this point she will be my wife . I just want this documented in some way to protect us .

We are in love and it is truly amazing when the right two people become connected . Far from what we both have had in the past . Some people just can not accept that in life and bring pain and suffering upon us . We have God in our lives and live strong each day . I have heard of the filipina gossip , but come on this is way beyond it now .

By the way we will be married Oct 15th in a little church and we are so happy and no one can effect us :) Just want to be protected against these foolish people . Mostly seem like empty threats as if they were real they would have just done so already . I just pray for them to see the errors and ask for forgiveness .

PhilippinesCRBA Philippines

if only one parent will represent the child.. DS 5507 is needed - Affidavit of Parentage Support from you.

DS 11 will be filled up by your wife, it can be handwritten.. and sign it in front of the consul..

All DS forms that needs a seal should be done there by a US commissioned notary not here in the Philippines.

Notary for each costs $10.

Naturalization photocopy with US commissioned notary, if naturalized.. If USC by birth then your passport with notary is enough.

Be sure to print  out the first page to last page of your passport booklet.

Marriage contract if married, Previous Divorce Decrees and or Annulment papers are needed too.

Pictures of child from new born to current.

CRBA fee total of $205 including passport..will be paid on the day of interview.

If you are married before the time of conception then you have no worries for DNA testing..and have a strong proof on hand

to prove your relationship with the mother.

We are in the process of CRBA too, just waiting for our DNA to be done.

Good luck..

Yes the DS-5507 I will get that done as well at the notary . The divorce papers was something I did not know about . OK we will add them as well . Thanks for that .. OK strong proof I had printed out just a few pages of each type such as Skype Facebook and Viber chats and calls . Maybe about 8 pages in all prior to the conception only . The thing with Viber which is great that it is free , but the call logs at least for my Mac are horrible . So I screen printed from my phone which shows calls and text back and forth . I have a lot of pictures of our wedding , with friends while in the Philippines , and with family . All on my last visit before the baby . Guess it couldn't hurt to put some more in for the relationship proof . Just did not want to make it like our I-130 for USCIS .

PhilippinesCRBA Philippines

Everything looks good.   How about a marriage certificate? Divorce/annulment papers? Be prepared for DNA testing if you do not have any of these.

By the way,  I suggest you apply for a passport after crba approval.  Fees are non-refundable in case it gets denied.

I had my son's  CRBA interview last August 7 and was approved after two weeks. I had a delay because I needed to submit my old passports with immigration stamps to prove my physical presence in the US. They didn't bother to look at my 1040s, w2 and pay stubs.   Certificate of Naturalization will not work. They need to see a concrete evidence of your physical presence in the US.

Oh yes we have that its just in the Philippines and my wife will include the copies to complete the CRBA . The passport we will have to do since my wife will only be in Manila for the month of October . We are also going to get the baby a Philippines passport since we heard it costs a lot less then the exit clearance . Also heard it was a pain to get it not sure how true it is  . Thanks for the advice ...

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresCR1

I will be getting married in the Philippines and will be filing the CR-1 . I was married before and filed the CR-1 and also have an  approved I-129F which I withdrew . I saw on the I-129F instructions saying if you have 2 filed petitions you would need to request permission for the 3rd . Does this count only for the I-129F ? Also is the time for approval really 8.4 months or has that been faster now ?

PhilippinesJanuary 2014 Interviews Thread!

NoOtherWoman,
CnYforever,
and The Americans,

You know what was frustrating, was calling from a mobile phone and using up P1000+/- just following up from the USEM. So I found a secret.

If your status becomes ISSUED on the CEAC website, it takes about 2-3 to 7 working days for them to send out your visa with the packet. Now, how do you check where your visa is--I kept asking 2Go operators their usual routine with the USEM.

(1) Every weekdays, M-F at 4:30pm USEM sends out the visa to 2Go courier for delivery
(2) At around 5:30pm, your name should already be in their (2Go's) system if your visa is with them already that means it should be on its way to you. If not then maybe it would be sent out to them the next day, so best tume to follow up is at 5:30pm.
(3) If your visa is with them, ask for the tracking number from the operator so you can check it on their e-tracking website.
http://supplychain.2...trace/index.asp

Better to call 2Go at (+63) 2 7799222 to check. I thinks its a 24-hour customer service.

USEM on the orher hand has recently been unreachable. It's operations shoul be from 8am-8pm--but no use calling!

Don't know why they have been difficult to reach lately. It's like they know we are calling and are avoiding us to mess up with our minds!!! Lol

Update me, ok?! Good luck!

And oh!!!! Goody good news! As I edit this post, my name came out positive in 2Go's list of visas for delivery! Yhey!!! Mine's for pick-up tomorrow!!!! Yahoooo!
