USCIS Service CentersNotice of Transfer to Texas I-129F
We are also a December filer from Vermont and have noticed also January filers being approved in VSC. I believe it would of been better if they transferred January and February to the other centers and left us in Vermont seeing that they were coming up to us. However with the luck I have had lately Jan & Feb filers will be getting approved. I know each case is different from another case but we just have to keep our patience and hope that we hear something more in the next couple of weeks. Fingers are definitively crossed. Right now my fiancé has been here for 2wks now and he's here for another 2 so it would be great to hear some good news for us while we're together here in the US.

United KingdomMedical in London?
Just looked on ACPO Criminal Records Office.found this...Certificates are prepared in accordance with ACPO guidelines (please note that these guidelines do not apply to Scottish and Military convictions).
I understand what you were saying re me applying via London but I'm not sure whether ACPO would be able to give me a certificate.I think I will try call someone on Monday.Maybe some Sottish VJ's could comment.

United KingdomMedical in London?
Thanks everyone.I shall probably travel on the day before my medical and interview and stay in a hotel for the night.
Yes,Lost At Sea,I obtained my police records last month (Subject Access Request). That raised another question last month too actually.I read somewhere on here that someone got SAR and it was the wrong police report? From what I understand,England use ACPO and Scotland use SAR.Not sure about the rest of the UK.

United KingdomMedical in London?
Hi.My k-1 visa was approved this week but Just wondered about my medical?Obviously I will get all this info soon but I read a story about one UK guy who had to go to London just for his medical!Apparently the Embassy arranges where you get your medical?I thought I would be able to get a medical from my local GP.Since I live in Scotland it would be a real pain to travel to London for my medical and then go back a few weeks later for my interview!Maybe someone can clarify this for me,thanks.
Also I will need immunised, but I gather that my own Doctor can do this.

Just read that some embassies require the medical to be on the same day as the interview.Has anyone had a medical in London and also the interview on the same day?Makes perfect sense to me.

United KingdomWhat are/were your wedding plans?

We decided to get married at the courthouse and plan a dinner out afterwards  since we don't want to give a date not knowing exactly when we will be getting the visa. Originally we decided a beach wedding and having all our friends and family have a beach vacation.  So we will get married at the courthouse and then so all our friends and family can make plans for our beach party celebration and we will also be having another ceremony at the beach because that was what we want to still do.

United KingdomRegistering for return of documents
Sorry.ok,We applied for a I-129 f.it was approved.I had my medical in London which went ok.now I have received my interview date but in the letter it tells me to register with this courier service BEFORE I attend my interview.this courier service apparently returns my documents and my visa too (I think).hhtp://dld.bz/ivbook
However when I try to fill in the application form online,it requires a ds-160 number in the mandatory field which has nothing to do with what I am doing.it also has a list of visas which I have to click on but it doesn't have k1 fiancé visa.all very confusing.

National Visa Center (Dept of State)3 weeks since NOA2 and it still hasn't made it to NVC!

Some news this morning. I received an automated email from the USCIS that they sent our information to the NVC. Not sure why the NVC didn't receive it the first time

however we will probably never know. I'll be calling the NVC today to verify the email and find out if it's another 2 weeks before I can call them to see if they received it.

Hope everyone get some news. I do have to say that the NVC responded in the quickest to find out what's going on and to take care of it. It's nice for a change :)  Good luck everyone.

My fiancé called the NVC today.....copied this from another thread.....

I called the NVC and we received our NOA2 on June 19th and a December 12th filer and there was no record of our EAC # on file. Totally disappointed however she herself was concerned because it should've been there. She advised me to send an email to their research center and to find out where it is. She also wanted me to tell her what my NOA2 notice says and it says it was forwarded to the listed consulate which does not state the listed consulate on our notice but she says they should've received it first before the consulate does. Hopefully we will get a reply ASAP. Hopefully all of us will be getting to the next step.

New news.... Fiancé checked the USCIS site and noticed that on July 11th they sent our information to the DOS. Well it's the 21st today so I will be calling the NVC tmw to see if they received anything. Hoping things are starting to move now since we lost some time waiting for the NVC to get our info.

I called the NVC yesterday and still no sign of them receiving anything from the USCIS. However I was doing a lil research on the website of the US Embassy in London and noticed something very interesting. Now on our NOA2 is said it was forwarding it the the listed consulate which on the notice it didn't have the location of which consulate. When I looked on the Embassy of the US consulate website I came upon this page......

New Immigrant Visa Fees Effective February 1, 2013, all individuals issued immigrant visas at the U.S. Embassy in London must pay a $165.00 USCIS Immigrant Fee before traveling to the United States. Only prospective adoptive parents whose child(ren) is/are entering the United States under either the Orphan or Hague Process, Iraqi and Afghan special immigrants who were employed by the U.S. government, returning residents, and those issued K visas are exempt from the new fee. The fee must be paid after the immigrant visa has been issued but before the applicant travels to the United States on the visa. Read more.... .

An immigrant visa is required of anyone who wishes to enter the United States to reside there permanently, whether or not that person plans to seek employment in the United States. U.S. immigration law provides for the issuance of immigrant visas in four general categories: immediate relative, family based, employment based, and the Diversity Immigrant Visa Program, known as the "green card" lottery.

There are THREE steps involved in applying for an immigrant visa:

Step 1: Filing an immigrant visa petition with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

Step 2: The processing of the immigrant visa either by the National Visa Center in New Hampshire or the Immigrant Visa Unit at the Embassy in London.

Step 3: The immigrant visa interview and medical examination.

To find out more about this process, please click on the relevant tabs on the left-hand Navigation bar.

Further information is available from the Department of State website.

IF YOU LOOK AT THE STEP 2 it says it will be processed at the NVC or the IMMIGRANT VISA UNIT IN LONDON!!!!
Now for all of us that received our NOA2 and said sent to consulate I wonder if this is what they meant... Interesting...I'll be looking more into this later on today but if anyone else does please let us know.

Good luck again to everyone.

Called last week and the NVC never received our file. I had to send an email to the NVC research to find out where it is. The next day I received an email from USCIS resubmitting the info to the NVC so hopefully it won't take too long since I waited a lil over 2 weeks to call NVC to find out our case number. Unfortunately finding out that the time was wasted and I wish I would've called sooner. We're hoping to hear something shortly but I did go on another topic and found out this information:

Principal Applicant's name and date of birth

Their phone # is 1-603-334-700     M-F  7:30am thru 12

Received an automated email from USCIS and they are resubmitting what is to be going to the NVC. What scares me is that I believe our packet goes to the NVC so the USCIS must've never sent it in the first place. 2+ weeks of more time gone by and taken away from us both being together. Hopefully it won't take too long for the NVC to get the information so we can get our paperwork finished and he can get his medical and whatever is needed before his interview. Fingers crossed for everyone.

National Visa Center (Dept of State)The Waiting room for fiancé visa case number is it 10 days or 20

I read my NOA2 to the lady at the NVC and she said it should've gone to them first so someone at USCIS doesn't know about this.

What I did was send an email to NVCResearch@state.gov and in the subject put your receipt # from the USCIS and then scan

your NOA2 and send in an attachment.

The next day I received an email from USCIS stating they were resubmitting the information to NVC which should've been what they

did instead of the consulate.

Hope this helps.

I will be calling them today to see if they received it so that my fiancé can set up his medical. We were in the Vermont office and transferred to Texas and there was a rumor about Texas's experience with K-1's so I'm thinking that is why it was never sent to the NVC.

PhilippinesK1/K2 here december filer

My fiance joined the forum however this is our first time posting anything here.  and also a December filer... (first petition filed in Jan 2012 and NOA2 denied in Oct 2012 due to not enough evidence which is true since all I sent was the check and I-129F app but never received and RFE) I did the phone calls and even had a request for an email concerning the processing of my case but no one ever mentioned anything)  Did everything correct this time so hopefully we will hear something this month for all of us that are  Nov/Dec filers.  Fingers crossed and good luck.
