Check your NOA2, I believe there is an expiration date on your petition listed there. It's about 4 months from date of approval.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionLetter from employer
The same here. I just asked for a letter of employment on the company letter head with all the specified information that was needed...and they sent it to me in a week. Never asked me why I needed it. I was 3 weeks into the new job.

Philippinesif petitioner is here for the interview

For me, it does makes a difference. The "solid proof" you can present to them about bonafide relationship is to present your petitioner. The mere fact that the petitioner took time to be with you is good enough evidence. And its not true that they will not let the USC talk during the interview. The pre-interviewer and the CO asked my husband about 2-3 questions. The CO even asked my husband about the pictures I presented to him... good thing my husband remembers when it was taken and what we (and the family) were doing. I believe having my husband during my interview made a big difference. 2 of my friends (one on IR-visa and one on a K-1 visa), we had the same week interviews (April 2007), both of them were placed on AR.

If he can be there for you during the interview... it would be nice. Good luck!

I agree, having the petitioner there does make a difference. The CO is just another human being trying to do a job. If he knows that the petitioner is there, it's got to have an impact on how he will review your petition. Unless, of course, he's a donkey, er...something like that.

Oh, yeah, my brother went to visit his fiance to show support when it was time for her interview. They had some missing documents, but him being there made all the difference. She passed and is now living in the states.

Me too. Haven't been touched since May 22. I've never wanted so much to be touched in my life until I applied for the visa...oh well.
