I was able to attend my fiances interview in Egypt and I was not allowed to say HI or BOO! If you are planning to attend the interview you should check with the embassy first. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	K-1 APPROVED!!!	That's a pretty big hurtle to over-come, the interview in a middle eastern country. Congratulations. Your next biggie will be the AOS. Good luck Thanks. I'm not clear as to why the interview will be such a big deal. This is a completely legitimate marriage so any question they ask my fiancee about me will be hit out of the park. I guess security checks will take some time... my hope is that a 24 year old girl will not require as extensive a check (wishful thinking perhaps). The interview is not that big of a deal. Many of us on here have husbands/fiances in Middle Eastern countries and our relationships are completely and totally legitimate. The deal is that it is almost certain that because your fiance is from a Middle Eastern country they will have to go on AR after the interview. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Who the heck am I supposed to beleive???	Our case has been on AP for almost 6 weeks. Being the brave soul I am I decided to call the visa center today. I spoke with a woman I really could not understand. All she said was that his AR was going to take 3-6 more month! That just put me into meltdown. After my co-workers got me calmed down they told me to call back again. So I called back and spoke to a woman I could understand. She told me that they had sent info to the embassy a few days ago for additional info. Guessing a RFE? But wouldn't the RFE come before now???? She said the embassy would be contacting him for the info and once he bring in the info, they could possibly give him the visa then....OR they could send the case BACK to Washington! So do I beleive either one of them? My fiance is so upset because he was going to be leaving Cairo to teach for a few days. I have heard of people totally getting denied the visa because of weed being in their system when they have their medical. I Jamaica and Egypt test for it.
