US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionOriginal Birth Certificate?
Hey all,

I'm having a difficult time understanding the verbiage for the Ciudad Juarez Package 3. Will my fiance need my original birth certificate or simply a copy of it? I sent her a copy of my birth certificate with hospital and delivering doctor and also a copy of the ID page on my passport. Will this be good? I'm hesitant on sending my original birth certificate through the mexican postal service.

Thanks!

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionMinimum stay required in USA after the first entry on immigration visa
I think what you're looking for is the length of time for your Adjustment of Status. This typically takes around 5 months I believe (check processing times on this site). During your AOS processing, you are not allowed to leave the US. You apply for AOS upon approval of immigration visas.

Anything you sent, follows the petition. Not that it really matters but did you make copies?

Yes I did make copies, but the originals are what we need for the consular. So hopefully they won't get lost with our petition on their route

I accidentally sent a couple original birthday, christmas, etc, cards with my initial submittion of the I-129F. Will they forward that information to the NVC and Consulate or should I contact the USCIS to have them returned to me so that I can send them to my fiance?

Anyone know?

Thank you

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures3+ convictions, will it cause delay?
Hello all,

I submitted our I-129F package with all certified court and police records for my convictions. These convictions are nothing more than a few misdomeanors that include "minor under the influence of alcohol", "under the influence of controlled substance" (not in a vehicle, on foot!), and intoxocated in public (also on foot!); all of which resulted in a fine and no jail time. I had a few wild years in college but since then I've graduated and am currently a Civil E.I.T. (Engineer-In-Training). My fiance knows all about everything and she's understanding. I was wondering, does anyone know if the USCIS will delay my process to run a more-in-depth background check? I have nothing else to hide, I'm simply wondering if it will take longer. We have an NOA1 date of Oct 27th, 2009 and we are 6 days behind Igor's list (which I know has much variability). Let me know

Thanks for your answers!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWhich is our POE?
My fiance's flight to the US comes from Mexico to the US but switches planes inside the US. Which will be her POE, the layover location or the arrival location?

Thank you!
