alot does depend on the history of the embassy BUT i think the general thought is dont mention money especially for k1, you each had a established life before you met why now would someone need money for rent, food, clothes etc now if married and kids involved different story

Lots of reasons Brookie

Alla was receiving child support which she surrendered in order to get the father to sign permission letters which the US government required for her to get a visa for the children to leave the country...loss of income from her "established" life prior to our relationship.

One of the children did not speak English and would, in 9 months time, be transferred to an American 8th grade English class. As it turned out he was moved to a 10th grade class within a few months after arrival as we PAID to have intensive English tutoring in Ukraine prior to him arriving...Alla certainly did not have money put aside to surrender child support AND pay for tutoring prior to our relationship. It also shows that with some improvement American 8th graders will soon be able to speak English as well as Ukrainians. Increase in expenses from her "established" life.

There is also the expenses of travel for medicals and interviews, buying luggage fro the international relocation of a family, medical expenses which arose after we began the relationship (Yes, Ukraine has national health insurance like Obama wants for us, but if you REALLY want medicial care you have to pay the doctors CASH or wait in line for months..or die...all the same to them) Increase in expenses from her prior "established" life.

To insinuate the joining of two people's lives (here, there or anywhere) and the international relocation of families does not incurr expense is ludicrous. Not "mentioning it" does not chage facts. If you wish to "not mention it" or feel you need to "not mention it" then by all means do so. Please do not invent silly reasoning to explain why your fiance would "not need" money. If your fiance would "not need" money before marrying you, why would he/she need it after? How does "marriage" increase expenses? They never mentioned that to me at the ceremony. Family and life status change expenses, not marital status. Children do not just disappear because you are not yet married, they do not stop eating or needing clothes and when the adults decisions affect the life of the children then the adults better address it and PAY for it.

I was proud to present the fact that we acted as responsible adults and developed a family budget. But I do not think it affected our case (good or bad). So for most it is a moot point...which is a fact. Trying to insinuate that everything stays as it did before is NOT a fact. If you want to "forget to mention" that you and your fiancee are acting as responsible adults because of the oppressive consulate you are forced to deal with...by all means do so.

THANK YOU so much for the reply

Hi!
We are gathering the necessary files for the petition kit, I've sent my documents in the USA to my heart.gif fiance.
My question would be - it is said that it is requested at the interview to show up with Western Union invoices with which we can prove that I have received money from my fiance. He has never sent me money because I have never asked for and I would never ask for it no0pb.gif . Do we have to do that? It is very embarrassing for me to ask for money from him. What is your experience?

Where did you hear that? Most suggest not providing WU receipts even if money was sent - Makes it look like a business transaction.

Its definately not necesssary.

Thank you very much, now I am satisfied, and calm with your answer good.gif
Somebody told me, who is already married, and living now in the USA (used K1 visa).

If CO is reading every single word, will be interesting, because we are talking in hungarian language. Maybe I will translate all of the conversations. good.gif

We had chat logs from MSN Messenger and what I did was copy a conversation and edited on an excel sheet, that way it showed the names, the dates, the times. I did this with 2 conversations per month for 2½ years, one sheet per chat converstion, so only two pages per month. I have to say that the CO read every single page, so I'm glad I did it.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresYahoo! Messenger archive as one of the proofs
Hi!

At the interview the Yahoo! Messenger archive is serves as one of the proofs for our relationship. My question is related to the quantity of it, how much should we show up with, because actually there are thousands blink.gif of pages and it is too much to print them all crying.gif

Hi!
Our I-129F petition was sent for a second time, we hope now, everything is OK, because the $455 cheque was chashed this time. My finace want to change his job. My question is: is this a negative influence for our case, before the interview?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI only sent the actual I-129f form
Wait for the RFE. Your petition has been accepted, but they would need the other forms too.

Your check was cleared I think, so, your case is in their evidence.

You can also check your case status on this webpage.
