K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresappropriate 'evidence'

p.s. are you like me and too lazy to remove luggage tags between flights? I tend to save mine because I'm a packrat too - one gets ripped off at the airport and stuffed into the bag in preparation for the next to get stuck on. Those luggage tags will show origin and destination as well as your name. You can photocopy that as well and use it with the rest of your evidence.

hehe, yes i am lazy like you in that sense...except that i when i rip 'em off, i throw 'em into the nearest trash can :(

...if anyone has that info on contacting airlines for after-the-fact proof of boarding a plane, i'd be interested to know!!

thanks!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresappropriate 'evidence'
hi folks.

so, not being so much the 'forward thinker', as i said, i threw out most receipts of money spent in brasil when i was with bruno...atm receipts, restaurants, hotel, plane ticket etc. i figure i can take care of that by submitting credit card receipts which will have the name and location of all purchases.

however...what about boarding passes. i definitley didn't keep all of those either (although kept some). i do however have email confirmation of ticket purchases. i know that doesnt show that i actually got ON the plane...is there any other way of requesting proof from the airline that I did in fact board and make the flight, after the fact?

thanks.....again...

sheepishly,

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresphotos as 'evidence' of meeting (I129F)
thanks all, for the replies..

..you wonder how specific and detailed you have to get, but, as with all government- and bureaucracy-types...i guess it doesnt hurt to be more than less!

(now wishing i had saved all those atm and restaurant, hotel etc receipts that i ripped up and threw out when they were clogging up my wallet! although i suppose a credit card bill will nicely itemize all that, hmm?)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresphotos as 'evidence' of meeting (I129F)
hi folks -

just wondering about something - how do you prove, other than writing on the back, the date that 'evidence' photos of the 2 of you/2 of us together, were taken? esp if your camera doesnt automatically put the date on it, or if your photo printing service doesnt....or don't they get that detailed?

thanks.......

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresIs the K-1 right for me?
after all this discussion about visa fraud and such, i am wondering...couldnt the following situation occur -
an international couple is very much in love and truly committed and wanting to get married...apply for and receive K-1 visa for fiance to enter the states for them to marry (lets say its his first time in the states, so also he will meet the family, get used to it, etc..)..

lets say 2 months into the stay, something dreadful happens, be it he is instantly enchanted by a gorgeous american, or something happens and the engagement is broken off, the couple breaks up, etc...although they entered into the K-1 with the full intention of marrying. i mean, thi ngs happen, its life, its not scripted...

i suppose my point is, how can the USCIS or INS or what have you actually prove fraud? it all seems very subjective. in any case, i guess you dont want to take risks with potentially being thrown out of the country, eh....
