US Embassy and Consulate Discussionafter the case is received at the Consulate
I have read somewhere that as soon as I know that your case is recieved at the Consulate, I can download all the forms from the USA embassy's web site and send the reply without awaiting the packet 3 (in case of having all the required documenets collected) so the process can be speed it. Is it possible? Can there be any problem at doing it?

Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussionquestion about affidavid
Hi,
A good friend of ours is writing a letter stating the he knows us well and spends time with us on regular basis. He put his address, phone #, a-mail and DOB but he said that he would not put his SSN. Is this a problem? The letter is not notarized. Thanks.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reportshow to proceed after more than 6.5 months waiting for NOA2?
Hello everybody,
We received a RFE after 5.5 moths of waiting for NOA2. Another month has passed after our answer to the RFE. The instructions on the RFE said that USCIS needs 2 months to process the answer. This should mean 8 months of waiting?? Can we make a service request now (almost 7 months after the I129f) or should we wait until the end of August when the additional 2 months will be over?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresFiancee change of address.
Sorry for the late answer. When Bill called uscis regarding this issue, all that they said was that he should send a letter to VCS with my new address. Don´t forget to put the number of your case good.gif

Ok I need to know what I need to do with this issue:
My fiancee has moved from the address I had put as her current on the K1 petition, we are currently at the noa1 stage. Do I wait and not do anything until we get further in the stage, or who do I call to change this address on this? I am half way expecting an RFE, if I do get this can i include a new petition with her new current address on it? She had no way of getting her mail if it goes to the address that is on the petition now.

Please help me, I need suggestions & instructions on what I should do- who I should call!

Hello Justin,
I am in a similar situation: we are in the NOA1 stage and I have to move soon here in Spain. My fiance Bill called yesterday the USCIS to ask about that and they said, that he shoud send them a letter with my new address (you can put the number of your case to make things easier for them).
Best regrds,
Maria

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWhy are Vermount taking forever and missing some people out completely?
I was wondering if the "moving around" of the fiancee could slow the process down. Is your fiancee from UK? I am a bulgarian but i live in Spain, so I will have to go to the USA embassy in Spain. And before that I was living in Germany for 7 years... could this make me look suspicious for uscis? We have similar timelines to your and there is no answer so far unsure.gif

In another thread you spoke of moving. I am cofused who the USC is in this case but if the US citizen moved and did not notify the USCIS, mail from them will NOT be forwarded to a new address. Also for the poster above "Bill & Maria" (any relation?)

There have been several cases posted here where someone moved, the USCIS sent an RFE they never received (they assumed the mail would be forwarded) and never saw anything on the online status (because it is unreliable at best) and ended up having their petition cancelled because they did not respond. Keep the USCIS updated of your new mailing address, understand that it takes up to 45 days for them to update your mailing address and the mailing address MUST be within the United States. If you will be out of the country, make sure a friend or relative can receive your mail.

Bill is the petitioner. He has given his home address in NH and even if he has moved to FL and the update takes long, his parents would receive the mail in NH. Now, I will be moving here in Spain in July. Bill has called the USCIS asking about their advice on how to change my address and they have said that he should send the VSC a letter with my new mailing address. Do you think this update could take long as well? Thank you for your help smile.gif

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresshould we re-apply for k1?
Here is a question:
We will hit the 6 months of waiting in June and there is no NOA2, no touches and no RFEs so far. When we first have started with the application for K1, we did not know about this forum and we had no idea about the timelines and the importance of the presentation of the I129F. Now we know that we have made few misatakes: we have sent a copy of the G325-a and it had to be the original; and we have not sent the famous fiancee letters of intent. It seems like even a tiny mistake can send the case to the end of the waitlist. Would it be better to cancel the case and re-apply? It seems to me that USCIS approves the "perfect" papers very fast.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresrescheduling visa interview
It should not be a problem to reschedule the interview. My fiance called the embassy in Madrid to change the date and it worked. I think that it is better if the call is made by the petitioner, but it is only my personal opinion. good.gif
