If you did not specify on original application submitted to USCIS that your fiancée lived in 2 different cities, then don't worry about it since US Consulate will request Police Certificate from the places she lived based on the information provided by you and by your fiancé on application and Biographical.

Good Luck!!!

Barbara, we are very sorry for your lost. This is something terrible that shouldn't happen to anyone, I don't know what to say. I just know you from the post and comments, and I am in shock, I can't believe this. God will make you strong enough to go through this. Once again, I'm so sorry. Our prayers are with you.

ChinaPolice Clearance From China
QUOTE (orchids @ Aug 25 2008, 01:06 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hello All,

Do anyone know how to get a Police Clearance in China? It seems so hard.

Joe.

Hi Joe,
I know exactly how you feel cause I was feeling the same back on January, but I'll help you sharing my experience. Imagine that my fiancé (now my husband cause he is already here) is cuban (me too, but US naturalized). My cuban fiancé was living in Venezuela for the past 15 years, but from 2003 to 2004 he lived in Beijing, China cause he was working there. When the K-1 process started, a police certificate from all the countries where he had lived after 18 years old had to be submitted. That means that we needed Police Certificates from Cuba (he lived there until he was 19), Venezuela, and China for the year he stayed there. Cuba and Venezuela weren't a problem at all. THE BIG DEAL WAS CHINA!!!! because the Chinese Consulate in Venezuela refussed to help him stating that they don't issue or handle Police Clearances for anyone. The consular officer at the US Embassy told my fiancé to get at least a statement from the Chinese Consulate in Venezuela stating they don't handle Police Certificate and that would be enough. My fiancé even had an interview with the Chinese Consul in Venezuela and she refussed to issue any kind of official document from the Embassy in Venezuela explaining that they do not handle police certificates through the Consular Section. At that point, we didn't know what to do cause it was impossible and unthinkable to go to China to get that paper. But thanks God I found some information online about the place to go to get that in China, I really don't remember the website but here is what we did:
my husband still have some good friends in Beijing and we emailed them a scanned copy of his passport, a copy of the chinese visa issued to him back on 2003, and a letter signed by him authorizing his friend to request the police clearance for him. His friend received everything and went to the Police Station with the copies previously scanned and emailed to her, and paid the required fee and had it in 1 week. Then, she took it to a chinese translator and notary who translated the police certificate to English language and notarized it, and paid the required fee also. (I sent our friend in China about $170.00 for the whole process, the fee to get it done and the fee to get it traslated and notarized). Once our friend had everything, she did the same. She scanned the papers and we printed them in a color printer and took it to the Embassy. My fiancé got his visa right there. The best option is to get the originals but I was in Venezuela for his interview date and we didn't have the documents in hand nor had time to get them via DHL or other currier delivered from China, so our friend scanned them and when we printed them in color printer, came out pretty good and were accepted right away by the US Consular Officer at interview.
Well, that's our experience. If your soul mate is chinese or is in China at the moment, it won't be any problem on getting the police clearance. Just remember to get it translated and notarized, ok????
If you need any other advise, please, let me know, ok??
I wish you the best!!!! and GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresCan medical examination affect to your K-3 visa approval
QUOTE (Hannita84 @ Jul 25 2008, 02:59 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hello all!

Me and my hubby applied for the I-130 and I-129F. I've been reading a lot of stuff about the visa process. But one thing is still bothering me. When your interview for the visa has been confirmed, do you need to have the medical examination beforehand? I read that they usually take a blood test for the HIV and then a general check up. I also know that a vaccination for the HPV and some others has to be taken. But is herpes simplex 1/2 tested at all or does it matter if you do have it? Because I haven't heard that based on the results of the medical examination, the visa has been denied. If someone knows and has the same kind of concer, answers are very much needed! smile.gif

I wish you all the best for your journey!

Hello, I don't think that they will test you for Herpes simplex 1/2.....but if you want to know exactly what tests are gonna be done when you go to Medical Examination, just go to the US Embassy's website in your country and you can download the forms that the doctor will use for the tests in your country. I did it when I brought my fiance and I was able to see what kind of tests are required. Herpes simplex was not there but requirements for each country may not be the same.

Good luck and don't worry!!!!!!

Yes, medical exams are basically a blood test to detect HIV, Syphilis, etc and also X Rays for TB, you must have your vaccination chart as well.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionWhy cant we just pick up the visa?
I read in one of the blogs about Kiev embassy, they use FEDEX to deliver the passports, and it takes less than 4 days for you to receive it, but someone must be at home at the time FEDEX shows up and the beneficiary's ID must be presented to the FEDEX guy for him to hand the envelope. Don't worry, US Consulate in Kiev does not use ukranian postal services for that, just FEDEX, and you'll be asked to go to a FEDEX window inside the embassy to pay the shipping fee once the visa is approved. Be sure you write down the FEDEX tracking # once you pay the fee, that way you can track it online.
Hope this helps you.
Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My fiancee in Cuba was called to the consulte to pick up packet/documents, but was not told anything about returning anything by mail, or an appointment date. Any tips? Does he need to mail in the DS-230 Biographical data to the consulate

KARENA:
DS forms are to be filled out by him and present them at interview. He must not sign any of those forms since that must be done in front of the consular officer at the moment of the interview. About appointment I don't know, sorry blush.gif . My fiancé is cuban but he lives in Venezuela, so we did everything through US Consulate in Caracas, Venezuela.

Hi Gary, I see you are starting the process to bring your love one to US. I just went to the whole thing and my Fiancé's visa was approved last Friday!!! laughing.gif

From the day I sent the paperwork to USCIS until last Friday that my fiancé got his visa, it took just 2 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he is arriving in US in a few days, THANKS GOD!!!!!!
I want to recommend you to contact Immigration Docs. Their website is:

www.k1k3visas.com

This people are GREAT, FANTASTIC!!!!!!!! They just charge you $525.00 and get you the visa approved or the whole fee is returned to you. I did not hesitate on contact them. They prepare everything, you don't have to worry about nothing, the paperwork is IMPECABLE. In my case we got the approval at USCIS in 2 weeks!!!! Once your love one is here in US, they will prepare the paperwork for Adjustment of Status, you don't have to pay anything extra. FOr the same fee you'll get both processes done.

Believe me, I'm so grateful with them that I want to recommend their service to everyone that is just starting. Poor papework can result on denying of the visa. With Immigration Docs, forget about denial, you'll see the way this people prepare your application.

Well, I just want to wish you the best in this journey you are about to start.
Good luck!

Dear All:

I am preparing to file my I-129f and have a question and everyone here is so helpful, please excuse my ignorance. My faince has two children bith under 21 years old. Of course they are listed in the filing. My question...do I need to submit photos of them with the initial filing. The form "clearly" asks only for a photo of the "beneficiary" (I presume my fiance). Any thoughts/ experience are appreciated.

Regarding interview...my fiance has obtained an "absent parent" statement allowing her permission from the father to immigrate with the children to the USA, but of course she will not need this until the interview. Is there a "time limit" on this? Does the statement have to be within 30 days, 90 days? I ask because her former husband can be hard to contact and I do not know if she will have to plan to receive another statement before the interview. Will a statement 6 months old, 9 months old, be accepted?

I wish everyone here much luck and happiness.

Gary

Welcome! and good luck - reading the guides as Stevesgirl pointed out is probably the best thing you can do...take time out to consider what works for you and your circumstances ....I am not sure if ViVi's case is typical as i understand there are special circumstances surrounding Cuba? Others will be able to add to this discussion i am sure ...

Good luck !

I KNOW GUYS!!!! You think that because my fiancé is from Cuba (me too but US naturalized) he had a special treatment! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! NOT AT ALL!!!!!! US laws that benefit cubans start applying once the cuban person enters USA "illegally", yes, ILLEGALLY! (ironic, right). Other than that, my fiancé had to go through the whole process like every K-1 applicant in this world. The good thing that happened to us is that he doesn't live in Cuba, so he did not have to deal with U.S.Interest Section in Havana, Cuba,(believe me it's a nightmare) He had to deal with US Consulate at Caracas,Venezuela. But he was even put under Administrative Process after his interview!! wacko.gif until FBI did background check. But after all, it just took 2 months the whole process starting with me sending application to USCIS!!!!! We didn't even get a receipt from USCIS, I sent application to USCIS on November 3rd/2007 and on November 21st I got the approval notice for my petition!!! And let me tell you something else: we even got stucked after his interview at US Consulate in Caracas because my fiancé worked 1 year in China and Police Certificate from there was requested!! How on earth would we get a damn chinese police record????? wacko.gif No chinese consulate helped us, a total waste of time talking to them mad.gif But thanks God (who put His hand in this from the beginning), my fiancé had a wonderful friend in China who requested the certificate from Beijing Public Service Bureau and got in on time for our 2nd interview!!!!!!! good.gif He scanned the 4 pages document and we got it by email the same day of our 2nd interview!!! just 2 hours before interview!! I was in Venezuela with him so we printed the damn chinese paper and took it to the Embassy and GOT APPROVED RIGHT THEREEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! kicking.gif
So, yes, we got a fast journey to get his K-1 visa but it was not painless!!!!!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWedding ceremony
Hi Ben, I did the same. My fiancé (who doesn't live in his country) and me flew to our home country (I am US naturalized) and did a wedding ceremony with our families and our church minister. It was a very simple religious ceremony but nothing was bound, we didn't sign any document so we are married just to God's eyes. We did it because all our family is there and they won't be present at our real wedding in USA. My fiancé already got his visa, thank God it just took 2 months the whole process since I submitted the application until he got the visa (Praise the Lord), but we didn't show any pictures of that ceremony, we didn't need any suspicious questions from the CO at interview. Just show all the pictures you have from your trips, and do not mention anything about that wedding ceremony. Believe me, you don't need to volunteer any evidence that can cause you a problem.
Good luck!!!!!!!!!!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresFiancee Visa - Length of RELATIONSHIP Question
hi there!
nothing to worry about. I was in the same situation....my now "husband" and me were sweethearts in HighSchool in 1990, he left our country (Cuba) after he graduated from High School in 1993, lost contact and met again in 1996 and 1998, it was actually a coincidence that I had to travel to Venezuela in those 2 oportunities, country where he was living since 1993. I came back to my home country and he continued with his life. He never married but had two daughters. I never married and never had children. I came to EEUU in 2001 and we started having contact again by email and some phone calls. Our conversations from time to time started being more serious and we began to question the fact that we had always loved each other and never did anything to be together for good. Distance was always big between us, he was living in Venezuela and I was living in Cuba, a communist country where everything is so difficult and you can't make decisions on your own cause the goverment won't let you. On September of last year, 9 years after the last time we saw each other in 1998 in Venezuela, we decided that we had to do something for our love. I took a fly to Venezuela and met my love again!!!! It was wonderful and nothing had changed. We were just more mature. (we were in our 20s last time, now I'm 32 and he is 34) At that point there was no way that we would be separated again. I filed for the K-1 visa for him in November and he got his visa on February 1st of this year. I did 2 more trips to be with him and the last one was for his interview. Our case was solid and approved by USCIS in 2 weeks here in the States. It was sent to the Consulate in Venezuela in 1 month and the K-1 visa adjudicated in another month. I described with details our story and notarized it when I filed the case. My mom had some pictures of us from High School and he even took them to the interview. Also, some photos from the two times we saw each other in Venezuela in 1996 and 1998 were showed to the consular officer at interview. That made our case even stronger and real. My now husband arrived in the US on March and he already got his green card!!!! We are very happy and expecting our first baby!!!! So, don't be afraid. You have a beautiful and real love story to share with whoever interviews you. Be strong, be faithful and show all that love that has been there, inside you and your fiancee, through all these years. God will bless you and will be with you. If you need any advise, please let me know.

Make duplicate copies of everything just in case they will ask the original. Most of the time they will only ask 1 or 2 photos and sometimes they wont even look for the letters or phone bills. Just bring everything including the duplicates. As for the AOS, you dont need to use them again. AOS has different requirements with regards to evidence of Bonafide relationship.

So my sister finally got a letter from the embassy that she can now set up her K1 visa interview appointment. She is applying with her 6 month old baby but she hasn't applied for the CRBA yet. She already received the authenticated NSO birth certificate. When we checked the appointment schedule online today, we were shocked to know that the earliest appointment she can get for the CRBA and first time passport is February 14, 2014. That is waaayyy too late since she can really get her K1 visa interview appointment as early as October 22, 2013. Can someone please let me know if there is any other way possible to get an early appointment or even if we pay to get expedited appointment? Also, does she needs to have the baby's passport and CRBA before she will get her K1 visa interview? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PhilippinesRequirements to register permanent resident to the Philippines
Thanks Guys for the reply. I actually was able to talk to some consulate few hours after i posted this and they said that the son can get a dual citizenship. The mother has to File Report of Birth. Since she didn't get her naturalization yet when she gave birth of her son. So it's a good news. For the husband, he has to apply for Non-Quota Immigrant Visa.

Thank you all for this reply. I also checked the website you gave me and found some good information I needed.

PhilippinesK1 interview Appointment - Need Help!
This might an easy question but I just can't find the answer. Do we need to wait for the CRBA and baby's passport result before the interview appointment? I heard that CRBA result won't be available until 2 weeks from the appointment. Is that mean that we won't be able to schedule the K1 interview until after 2 to 3 weeks from the CRBA appointment? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
