Add me to the list, please. We are sending off the petition in the morning and will over night it. I'm not expecting a smooth ride, as nothing from day one went smooth for us. It's been an unreal journey thus far and this removal should have technically been over with years ago.

Hello all!

I sent my package today (California Center), and just reading all the posts and comments I start to get concerned.
I really was not worried at all and maybe that was a mistake?
I did not send any afiddavits, nor any pictures. I also did not add any W2's or 1099-MISC forms for our Schedule C. I did send what I considered important and sufficient based on the USCIS instructions.
Only time will tell now!

I wish everyone luck!!

Please add me to the list.Thank you!

We didn't either. Pics are not a requirement, and from what I've read, the affidavits are optional. Like, if you didn't have a lot of other solid evidence, then you may want to include those letters . We don't have any W-2's as my husband works for himself and Im retired. We don't have joint credit cards or a mortgage, but sent proof of a joint bank account (random statements from 2010 and 2011), property tax, tax assessments (2010,2011 which has both of our names on it ) random utility bills from 2010 and 2011, car and homeowners insurance from 2010 and 2011, income tax transcripts from 2009 and 2010, life insurance showing my husband as beneficiary and some misc ####### to just throw in there. If they want more proof from us, such as those letters, they can send an RFE.
We are prepared for an interview because we have always had TWO of those no matter what petition we filed in the past. The wait time doesn't bother us as we have had lots of experience waiting on USCIS. They do what they will and all we can do is try to stay one step ahead of them and know anything can and will happen. Because at the end of the day they make the rules, even if it seems like they make them up as they go along.
So B&D, blessings to you for a hassle free and speedy removal. And that goes for all April filers.

Hey I got my NOA today and it was dated 4/7. It has the 1 year extension. Hopefully we get the biometrics appointment soon. Will anyone try going to the appointment early?

We may have to try it. My husband has to go back to Egy either in May or June, so if no bio appointment is schedueled by then, it will force his hand to attempt a walk-in.

They received my package in Vermont today!!!

Mailed mine the 15th and still nothing yet...Hoping to get something in the mail this week or at least get that check cashed..

You will, L.I. You only filed 3 days after we did. The post mark on the envelope said the 18th, so you figure it took a few days to go from California to the surrounding Detroit area.

Now, will someone kindly add our NOA date to the list ? Thanks.

Husband made an infopass for this morning because we haven't heard one word regarding the case. He was told there will be an interview at the local office...at some point in time. We kind of figured as much, but at least we know they didn't loose the application.

how come you expected an interview?

Because we always had two of them from the beginning... two interviews at the Embassy level and two interviews for AOS. We didn't expect USCIS to just approve us and fire off the 10 year without an interview. No, that would be too easy !

Update: 10 months later, we finally got that letter that says we have an interview at the local office next month. Not that we were ever in a big hurry or anything, just wondering why it took so long to get this far. Another one of the great mysteries of USCIS....

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionQuestion plz

If you filled out your timeline we could help you better.

Sounds like you came to usa 1 yeear ago
You got your 2 year green card

So you have 1 year left before you file to Remove Conditions and get a 10 year green card?

So..90 days before your 2 year anniversay of marriage or entering usa (If you had a timeline we could answer exactly)---and NOT one day before----fill out all the paperwork and evidence the guide requests. Pay the money. Send the proof. Fill out forms and taxes
and you may get an interview again and try to get your conditions removed and get granted a 10 year permenant resident card

Good Luck

Please refrain from giving incorrect information and do some research before you respond to the OP's question.

If you are filing jointly, the I-751 form must be filed within the 90 days just preceding the expiration date on your permanent residence card. This is the date that your conditional residence expires. Note that, despite the fact that you may see word "anniversary" used in a confusing way regarding the filing date for removal of conditions, your wedding date is completely irrelevant to determining the window of time during which you may file for removal of conditions.
