thanks for the list, thats helpful to check against, though i have 2 questions. I thought the I-134 does not need to be notarised anymore, given that they have taken away the space for you to do it and you just sign it - or am i wrong? I hope I am right as we have not notarised it :-( Secondly I received my fiancees stuff yesterday. I am not too savvy on tax forms from the US, but hopefully she has sent me enough.. she has sent me three years of tax return transcripts. (2005/06/07) which look detailed to me..Do I still need W2's? She has just started a new job, but earns well above the required level - has a letter from work to say so and has a decent amount of savings shown by bank statements.. will what she has given me suffice?

My list said I only had to send 1 tax return, 3 bank statements. 3 pay check stubs.
I also thought you had to bring all the paperwork that was sent to USCIS as well ? If that's the case we are in trouble. Our lawyer has all that.

That's very impossible. There are documents that the applicant has to submit to the USEM on his/her interview. Those documents will be contained in the brown envelope, which the K1 visa holder will carry when he/she will fly to US then. Fingerprinting and picture taking will also be done on the interview at the USEM.

What do you mean by security paper? Security paper is the type of paper used in NSO issued documents such as birth and marriage certificates. Might as well call the Civil Records Documents Dept of NSO or the Legal Dept. The numbers are on the NSO website.


That is a security paper you have to get after you get your finality for your annulment from the court.When you have that paper already you have submit that to the court so that they can issue your annulment decree.. I did call NSO civil records many many times but until now they didnt return my papers yet.

It's best if you request the docs personally, sometimes NSO have backlogs that can run up to a month. If you're not from manila, have someone request it personally, just make sure you give all the relevant details. I requested mine through a contact inside NSO.



I have someone who follow-up my documents in manila but still the NSO personnel just told him it's on verification. How many weeks you get yours?According to them if you get paper for your annulment it takes a long time.I am very worried now.My fiance cannot start filing K1 visa..

Just file it. Affidavit of support will be needed after your NOA2 which could be 4-5 months from now. 4-5 months is just a rough estimate based on my computation when i checked "processing tab" of VJ.

after 15 working days since u received your decision, go back to the court office then ask for finality, after that you have to register it to the local registrar's office.After you got the NSO security paper go back to the court office to get the DECREE.

In my case i got my decision last november and got my finality last december.After that i went to the LCR to forward my annulment decision, finality and you have to pay something like more or less 2,000 pesos after that i waited for 3 weeks until i got my annotated MC from NSO main Office.I went back again to the court to get my annulment Decree..and that was the end of my annulment process..

a Cenomar (certificate of No marriage) is for single ladies..never married before and during application of K-1..
a Cemar(certificate of marriage) however is for those K-3 applicants..

i hope m correct on this matter...this reply is still open for additional info i missed.

I just want to share the happiness that i got today..I passed for my interview this morning. I was really feel nervous but once you are inside the Embassy parang nawawala na yung kaba. The consul was very nice to me, She was just asked me the following:

1. What is your name?
2. Where and how did we meet?
3. How many times did my fiance visited me.
4. When was the first time we saw each other.
5. When was our engagement day? This was the question that we laugh together becoz i told her how my fiance proposed to me and she told me..Wow..so sweeettttt..hehehhee
6. She asked me if i talked to my fiance's family.
7. She asked also if we will have a civil wedding or church wedding...

Then she told me your visa is approved , Welcome to the USA. Yeheeyyy..To those who have incoming interview, pls do not worry too much as long as your affidavit of support is ok then you will be fine..Yung mga evidences ibabalik lang sayo yan..ang kinuha lang talaga sa akin ay yung 1134, W2 tsaka ITR.

Got my number: 6:05am (they ask for my DS forms/ 2 copies of DS 156, 1 DS 156K, 2 DS 157 and gave my number (7001)
Window 16- Finger Scanning
Window 14- Pre screener ( ask for my CENOMAR, NSO, NBI then form I-134, 1040 and ITR, then PICTURES as in only pictures)
And asked about:
1. What's your name?
2. When did you meet?
3. Did you travel abroad
4. When is the last time you see him in person?
....... thats all. then wait again til my number will be flashed on the tab.
Window 28: Consular Officer
1. Whats you name?
2. Your birthdate?
3. Relationship with your petitioner?
4. How did you meet?
5. Tell me about your love story?
6. Married before?
7. How many times your fiance got married?
8. When was that latest divorce?
9. When are you planning to get married?
10. OKAY your visa is approved! Welcome to the United States of America.
. . . and thats it have to wait to window 37 for my PINK SLIP, yay! Thank you Lord.
Then proceed to AIR 21 booth.
