Philippines	All pregnant Mommies	hi mga mommies..Happy New Year sa inyong lahat, may tanong lng ako kc nakalimutan ko itanong sa aking ob, bawal ba magbabad sa maligamgam na tubig kapag buntis? may jacuzzi kami pero hindi ko naman sinunod kung gaanu kainit yung tubig, gusto ko lng kc magbabad minsan pero may nakapagsabi sa akin na bawal daw sa buntis yun..any opinion is highly appreciated..ty..ingat kayong lahat and enjoy ur babies!!! A warm bath can be a safe and relaxing treat during pregnancy. But, just as it is not safe to exercise until you are overheated during pregnancy, it also is not a good idea to become overheated in a hot tub, or sauna. During pregnancy core body temperature should not increase above 102.2F (39C) for more than 10 mins. One sign of being overheated is that you feel uncomfortable or you stop sweating. Ako nga as much as i want to soak in a bath tub, tinitiis ko nalang kasi natatakot ako baka di maging komportable si baby. Shower nalang ako ng warm water. Hi mga mommies, hanggang reading mode nalang muna ako minsan kasi di na ako maka relate sa mga pinag uusapan nyo...buhay mommies na talaga hehe. Nakaka inggit lang kayo hhhhmmm....darating din ako dyan! Pero natutuwa naman ako sa mga pinag uusapan nyo kasi lalo akong na eexcite sa paglabas ng baby ko. Sa ngayon ini enjoy ko nalang every kicks nya at kinakausap ko rin sya lagi. Gusto ko naring matapos itong paghihirap ko ang hirap tumayo masakit sa lower abdomen minsan parang di ko ma explain kung saan masakit kung sa ####### ba o sa lower #### ko. Hirap narin akong magsuot ng underwear ay totoo pala yun. Di ko pa naman nararanasan ang back pain alam ko pati yun mararanasan ko later on...hay buti 2 months nalang hihintayin ko. Sa mga malapit na talagang manganak goodluck! Manganak na kayo para lalo kong ma feel na papalapit narin ang araw ko. Sa mga mommies (di ko na kayo iisa isahin) pakurot nalang sa mga baby nyo. Philippines	All pregnant Mommies	Hi sis, about sa glucose test and sinabi lang ng doctor ko before that eh kumain ng mga food na rich in protein. Ang kinain ko that day ay sausage, fried egg, pancake at kape..Hehehehe..Okay naman yung result, negative naman..Hehehehe..Pero worried din ako nun kasi I am into sweet talaga, grabe ako makakain ng mga matatamis, yun at yun ang hinahanap ko palagi.. Ganun ba, nakakatakot naman yan baka mag positive ako. Kailangan ng syrup ang pancake hehe. Bahala na basta sundin ko nalang sabi ng doctor ko para walang problem. Ako naman di masyadong mahilig sa sweets, bihira lang talaga akong mag crave sa sweet. Good luck sayo sis! = Brettane - oo mahal nga kaya nga hihiram muna ako tas tignan ko kung magugustuhan ko kasi sayang naman kung bibilin ko tas di ko din magustuhan. Pero sa totoo lang eh mababawi mo rin yung perang pinambili mo ng breastpump kasi mahal ang formula milk Yung kapitbahay kong pinay eh nakahiram sa WIC ng machine pump ng isang buwan try ko tawagan WIC tom kaag nagustuhan ko eh balak kong maghanap kung saan mura makakabili ng breastpump. Try ko Ebay or Craigslist Pink share ko lang yung nabasa ko sa American baby magazine about borrowing a breast pump ha. It's not a good idea. Buying a pre-owned electric pump or borrowing a friend's can put your baby's health at risk because breast milk can carry bacteria and certain viruses. Di parin ako nakakabili ng breast pump, tsaka na kapag nakita ko na sagana ako sa gatas. Tsaka yung manual nalang bibilhin ko cguro para mura. Ako siguro hihintayin ko talaga ang due date ko or ma delay ng isang araw para sabay sila ng birthday ng daddy nya. Sana nga mag cooperate si baby. Philippines	All pregnant Mommies	Hi mga mommies me mga susunod na naman pala ditong mangingitlog, wala ata akong ka due date sa March. Excited na nga rin ako, napapanaginipan ko na nga sa sobrang excited na makita si baby. Anyway I will have my glucose test on Jan. 14 at ask ko lang kung ano bang breakfast ang tinake nyo when you had this test kasi ang instruction sa akin eh "Do eat breakfast BUT no sweets! No jelly, syrup, presweetened cereal, doughnuts, fruit or fruit juices, no softdrinks (diet of regular), nothing with any artificial sweetener. No gums, mints, or candy of any kind." Breakfast ko everyday is oatmeal with sugar, di ko naman makain yun pag walang sugar, iniisip ko naman just to drink milk kaya lang baka di ako makatagal kasi 10am ang appointment ko. I went on my doctor's visit today and everything went well though they we're 2 hours behind of the appointment due to christmas break and at the same time monday siguro. Hoping din ako pero di yata talaga lucky hehe. But your baby is more than pa sa mga giveaways ni Ellen lalo na sabi mo nawala yung kidney problem nya. Wait nalang kami dito ng pictures ni baby. Pag ba me epidural di na kailangang mag push? Hay mas lalo akong na e excite kung sunod sunod kayong nanga2nak, kung pwede nga lang din akong sumunod narin sa inyo pero 3 more months pa ko at mukhang wala ako makakasabay by march ah. Wow ibig sabihin ang dami mong bisita kasi nagkulang yung giveaways mo. Sarap naman kasi madami ding gifts hehe. Thank you, basta hingi ako ng tip sayo kapag magkakaron ako ng baby shower like giveaways and games. Di rin ako nagpa 4D kasi dapat ata nasa 26-28 weeks ka and besides medyo mahal nga and 4D. 2D nga lang eh $230 na charge sa amin, maganda nga kapag 4D kaya lang di ko parin ma aapreciate yung mukha ni baby yung iba alam na kagad nila kung sino kamukha, hehe. Hintayin ko nalang lumabas para exciting. Naku one week nalang hihintayin mo, i know very excited kna. Sana after christmas day me makita na kaming picture ng baby mo dito. frosty & davanj - Ma swerte ako kasi di ako nakaranas ng mga naranasan nyo. No morning sickness at all at walang ka weirduhan na naranasan hehe. Kaya doubt nga ako nung di pa ko nakakapag first ultrasound kung buntis ba talaga ako. Pero naranasan ko ang walang ganang kumain. Pero ngayon confirm na talagang buntis ako kasi magalaw na si baby hehe. Enjoy nyo lang yan kasi mami miss nyo yan after nyong manganak. Marybeth - Im not sure kung parehas tayo ng nararamdaman, ganun din kasi ako kapag nakahiga ako at mag change ng position masakit yung parang lower abdomen o ####### ko, di ko ma explain kung saan masakit. Ganun din pakiramdam ko kapag nakaupo ako at tatayo pero nawawala din ang sakit in a few steps. I searched online and it said that it's stretching our ligaments. Buti kpa me mga kapitbahay na pinoy, ako ewan ko mukhang wala ata bagong lipat lang kasi kami. Mga nakikita kong kapitbahay namin karamihan eh mga Indian. 3 hrs 20 mins pla ang layo mo sken sa Richmond ako Ah talaga sa Richmond ka, nakarating narin ako dyan. Actually dyan sana kami lilipat kaya lang medyo malayo na sa mga inlaws ko pero we still consider the place in the future. Then I will be asking for financial assistance from the Catholic church that runs the hospital. :-) June ang due date ko. I can't wait to know the sex of my baby! Bata ka pa naman at wala naman yata kayong lahing me Down Syndrome kaya its not necessary pero if you want to make sure that the baby is fine its up to you. The OB wouldnt mind if you decline, she might just asked you to sign a paper that you are not doing those tests. Pag 18-22 weeks mo pa malalaman ang sex ng baby mo, napaluha nga ako nung ultrasound ko esp. when the doctor said everything was fine kinakabahan din kasi ako baka me makitang problem kay baby. I've already quit eating sweet foods like soda, cookies, cakes, and even carbs. It just drives me crazy that I have to go through all these test since they cost so much. We decline the extra testing for Down's syndrome and blood test called AFP-4 which screens for Down syndrome as well as spinal cord defects which we thought its not necessary. Sabi naman ng OB ko those tests are not mandatory. I also decline the STD test kasi kakapa STD test ko palang bago ako dumating dito as required on medical exam which was 3 months ago nung nabuntis ako and also the papsmear kasi last papsmear ko was March this year. Ano ano ba ang mga test na ginagawa sayo? Mahal talaga ang mga lab test dito, sa akin nga iba pa yung charge ng OB ko tapos i cha charge pa ko ng hospital. You better ask kung its really necessary to have all those test pero kung makabubuti naman sayo go for it. Buti nalang na mention ni Doc Gracey na di rin mabuti ang pagkain ng sweet during pregnancy as it can result to a baby's weight. Ganon pala ang feeling kapag ultrasound, tahimik lang ako until the doctor asked me if I was ok coz I was thinking that she might see a problem. Now we know what color we'll pick on buying stuff for the baby and the baby name too, my husband can't use my name anymore coz its a boy hehe. Goodluck sa mga malapit ng manganak. It isnt a good time for her to be pregnant, and it was a surprise and a shock for both of us, but I am also happy she is pregnant. She is depressed, afraid, because of me not having a job. Prenatal care of some kind would help her fears significantly I think. I am doing all I can to find a new job now. She is working all the hours she can too. Anyways... I just am hoping someone will know first hand where to turn for some kind of prenatal help... some way that it can be made affordable. Thanks. Brian and Josephine in Bristol Virginia try to look for any program for pregnant women in your state and apply...here in hawaii even if you are not usc and havent live here for 5 years and even your a new immigrant as long as you meet the income requirement they will give you free medical...free prenatal care, labor and delivery. there was a lady from the pi, when she got here february this year she was already pregnant then she applied for that program and was able to get free medical...its just so lucky for her baby because her baby is automatically a usc since it was born here...hehehehe. i have free medical too thats why we dont have any problem about it...i have my own ob, i go for check up just like those people who have medical...they really make sure that pregnant women and children are being taken care of wether your usc or not. Well, I am excited. First of all, I can already see that coverage by state, when having a financial difficulty such as unemployment, differs state to state. In Virginia, there is virtually no resources available. Medicaid requires that ANY person here, with a few exceptions, from any other country must be here 5 years in order to get any medicaid coverage. It has nothing to do with immigration requirements, only time here. Five years is the rule. Yesterday after taking my wife to work for her part time job at 5AM I came home and got online and searched more, and found a place here called "Abortion Alternatives, Pregnancy Crisis Cener". It is a Christian outreach center. I called their number at 5AM, just in case, and this man answered who was very kind. I went to see him at 11AM. He was an older man. It turns out this agency is also supported by my church! He was able to make arrangements for a FREE sonogram at an OBGYN here, on December 14, around the time when they can really SEE the fetus and the placenta. I am so exvcited... we have an appointment. And it sounds like they have a sliding scale for payment, for follow-up exams, based on employment. And this Christian place will make sure our baby has a car seat and a bed before it is born too. And they have a building FULL of free maternity clothing for my wife too! And much clothing for when the baby is born all the way until it is a toddler. And free toys too! And he already gave me free prenatal vitamins for my wife, and said he has more of that, all she will need, through her pregnancy. The vitamins have 800 mg folic acid. I read that 400 is good for brain development. I am so happy and relieved. Thank GOD for leading me to this man and place. And thank God for you all too. If you all dot mind, I would like to stay around this group to have you all to talk with through this, since I dont really have anyone else to talk to. Thank you... It isnt a good time for her to be pregnant, and it was a surprise and a shock for both of us, but I am also happy she is pregnant. She is depressed, afraid, because of me not having a job. Prenatal care of some kind would help her fears significantly I think. I am doing all I can to find a new job now. She is working all the hours she can too. Anyways... I just am hoping someone will know first hand where to turn for some kind of prenatal help... some way that it can be made affordable. Thanks. Is there a Department of Job and Family services there? If so, both of you should be eligible for medicaid (especially if she is now a green card holder with a SSN). We have had no problem with Permanent Resident Card, and we found out about WIC yesterday. But that gives no help for prenatal exams. As far as Medicaid is concerned, what they told us at Social Services, after I already found the same info online, a permanent resident even if pregnant in Virginia is not eligible for medicaid until after 5 years here. Social Services said they had no suggestion where to go for help. They told us that my wife does not even qualify for food stamps, only me. They said she only will qualify for Emergency Mdedicaid once she goes into labor and 96 hours after. At that point only the infant will get medicaid, since he/she will be a US Citizen. What my husband and I understand is that you cannot get a Social services (Gov't. support) because when they approved her visa to come here, it's part of a deal that you support her. You are right, Prenatal care is so expensive here we're paying my OB ($580) every visit for a total of ($3000) not included the labs and the hospital bill. Tsaka may isa pa, may instinct din ba kayo na hindi talaga tugma yung binigay nilang due date..Hay ewan kasi ako feeling ko talaga hindi ako manganganak sa due date na binigay, ang feeling ko eh mas maaga, ganun nga talaga cgruo or baka sobrang excited lang ako? About naman sa question mo sa mga sakit na nararamdaman mo, isa lang ang sa mga yan ang nararamdaman ko yung back pain pero hindi kung nakahiga ako. Kapag matagal akong nakatayo dun sumasakit so ang ginagawa ko eh i lay on my side and i feel better. Sa pag ihi naman normal lang talaga yun pero ako mahina ako sa tubig kaya di cguro ganun kadalas tulad ng sayo ako pag umihi. Sabi sa book na binabasa ko bawasan mo na ang pag inom 3 hours before you go to bed para hindi ka mahirapan sa paggising para umihi. Ang problema ko lang sa ngayon eh nahihirapan akong matulog, minsan nga nahihiga ako ng 12am pero 2am gising pa ko. I even try drinking warm milk o kumain ng saging bago matulog pero hirap parin ako. Di naman sumasakit ang puson ko, thank God. You better ask your OB about it. Yung due date natin eh estimated lang talaga. Me nanga2nak ng mas maaga o late sa due date. Due date ko is March 25 I'm praying and talking to my baby na lumabas nalang sya sa bday ng daddy nya which is on the 26th. Excited ka nga lang siguro tulad ng lahat ng mga mommies. God Bless! Maganda nga manood ng mga ganun pero ang ayoko lang yung nakikita kong nanga2nak lalo na CS kasi parang nararamdaman ko ang sakit. Nagse search narin ako ng names online pero sa dami eh ang hirap pumili. Sabi pa ng hubby ko kung ayaw ko daw name ko na ipangalan eh i combine daw namin name ng mother ko at mother nya, ok lang name ng mother nya (FAYE) ang name naman ng mother ko eh (TESSIE) medyo makaluma na hehe. Kaya naguguluhan pa talaga ko. Kapag naman daw lalaki gusto nya OTT, name ba yun? yun kasi ang middle name ng namatay nyang pamangkin pero di parin ako convince. Sister in law ko naman gusto nya mag start daw sa letter "J" kasi lahat ng mga pamangkin eh nag start sa letter "J" mga name...hay kaya talagang magulo pa.
