K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	I just got notice of a RFE :/	Pictures is secondary evidence. They don't care about your emails from 8-10 years ago. What USCIS cares about that you've seen each other within 2 year time frame prior to applying. This could be anything like passport stemps, boarding passes, hotel reciepts, credit card reciepts. And remember pictures are NOT primary evidence. If the response satisfy the adjudicator the RFE usually getting processed within few weeks, and hopefully you will get approval after that. Passport Stamps, Trip Itineraries, Dated Receipts, and Copies of boarding passes are what they want to see. You don't even have to include a single email if you don't want too (although most include some example of communication). USCIS has the job of determining that a meeting took place and just some very basic evidence of an ongoing relationship. The consulate has the job of looking at the relationship at a deeper level...Primary evidence is what they need for that meeting. Edited by Paul86, 24 July 2012 - 12:30 PM. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	When should I have a Senator petition on my behalf?	Hi Everyone, I sent my I-129F about ten days ago and just received my NOA1. I would like to request that both my senator and my governor call the USCIS to petition on my fiance and my behalf, but I am wondering when is the best time to do this. My case probably isn't being looked through yet. Any advice would be much appreciated! Thank you! It's impossible to know if they'll be able to do anything at all. Some representatives have more experiences than others with any meaningful level of interaction with USCIS. I have been waiting over 6 months (194 days today) and unfortunately even my representatives aren't able to put the pressure needed to speed up the adjudication process. I would be prepared to wait up until 7 months (odds are you will have an approval before then). But processing times fluctuate frequently and you could be waiting as short at 120-130 days or as long as 200+. There is no consistency in the process. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	NVC Contact Info	our case reached NVC after 12 days ( we are VSC though).. best time I got through was first thing after they open their lines which is 7 am EST I believe ( I called from Europe so for me it was 1 pm) Yup if you call first thing. you usually get right through. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	How can a K-1 misrepresentation denial be overturned?	Yes. A marriage certificate dated after the false accusation would most likely resolve the issue. (They would not have been able to marry again and acquire a new date if there were previous records of a marriage on file) Although I'm not certain how it would affect the K1 petition because it's a fiance petition. Also, the cultural norms could also have an influence on the perception of the situation. Some countries fully recognize a religious marriage. Others do not. If the country of the beneficiary only recognizes marriage as legal after civil ceremony than there's no reason they wouldn't be in the clear. It depends on the consulate, however. Hope I don't get any RFE's. By the way, with my packet, I bought a pack of index dividers and included a table of contents on page two of my cover letter. Here's what I included: -G325A for both with two passport photos in a small ziplock bag stapled to the front of each -hand written intent letters from both -my birth certificate -previous marriage certificate and divorce decree -copy of my passort in it's entirety with stamps/visas from both trips to Amman -copy of my fiance's first page in his passport -copy of my boarding passes from both trips and various receipts from purchases i made there -copy of receipt for the purchase of our engagement rings -copy of a video clip (saved to cd) of a very small celebration -about 50 pictures (about 4 photos to each plastic sleeve) *** be sure you write details on the back of each picture you send including your names on the back of those passport photos you send with the G325A	lion_lioness	Female	Jordan	2007-01-26 22:54:00

If you could complete your timeline on your profile, that would be most helpful for those trying to assist you. Underneath the "My Information" section on the left hand side of your profile page, you will see a link for "Timeline". Also, you do have residency in Kenya correct? You will need a Police Certificate from Kenya ~ they will definitely ask for that at the interview. You should get that before your interview as it takes time to receive it. I am going to say yes, that you can interview in Kenya, but I wouldn't know the steps in doing so. I am hoping someone else can clarify this for us. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	K-1 Affidavit of Support	I don't have any insight on what the outcome of your case would be...but, I do wish you the best of the luck in whatever you may decide. Nairobi is a tough and unpredictable Embassy, and they do accept co-sponsors...but, I don't know how it would go in your situation. If you had everything organized, all of your paperwork in the perfect order, relationship evidence neat and organized from the time you met until now, no issues with the co-sponsors, and had proof of what your income is on welfare, etc., then maybe you'd be OK. If you already have red flags and then this on top of it...then I would say the odds are against you. Also, if you haven't met him in person yet....you can't file anything until you do. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Address on I-129F	Wow wish I had found this site before I started the process.  Here's my question....in Kenya where my fiance lives, there are no street addresses.  My fiance has no "mailbox".  So in places that asked for her address I just listed the street she lives on which is also the main road in Nairobi.  Is this going to be a problem???    I don't 'think' you will have an issue...it's just the way it is in Kenya and the adjudicator processing your file "should be" aware of that (although, of course, I cannot guarantee that). I had the same issue. What I did was I included a continuation sheet with our I-129F explaining the address situation in Kenya and I had no issues. I don't know of anyone in Kenya that can receive mail at their home address...most have a P.O. Box. Worst case scenario, you get an RFE (Request for Further Evidence), then you can clarify it then. In which case I would provide her Building #, her apartment #, and the city in which she resides. An example of the continuation form I included is below. I wouldn't worry over it, really.  When the time comes when you reach the Embassy level, all correspondence is via email. No worries. Good luck! ~Jill   Form I-129F Continuation Sheet:  Part B, Item #?s 2 and 15: PLEASE NOTE: For the address block on the Form it specifically asks for ?Number and Street?. The mailing address for _______________ is: P.O. Box ____, Nairobi, 00200, Kenya. His physical address is: Danmac Building, # ___, Kasarani. There is no street name and he cannot receive mail at this address. Therefore, on the first page of the Form, Item #2, I only included the P.O. Box because the Assembly Instructions on the USCIS Website specifically state that the address block on the forms is the data field captured for all of your mailings and that whatever is in that block will become the mailing address used by the system. I did this to ensure that he receives all mail pertaining to this petition. On page 2 of the Form, Item #15, I did include his physical street address for your records. This is just completely stupid now. I've seen petitions get approved within days of receiving the response and it's almost been a month now. There was a February filer who had an RFE a week after me and they got approved weeks ago. Aughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. My disdain for Vermont is palpable at this point. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	The RFE Master List	Your guess is good as mine, VSC is kind a slower, they even have to send some application to CSC to help them out!!! lucky for those guys(check it out on some of the forum that they said there case was forwarded to CSC from VSC without notifying them), CSC is flying fast now, however RFE is flying a lot too hehehe most of us has NOA1 on 03/15/2010 get hit with RFE, maybe its the same strick person, there just doing there job properly....However I did sent my RFE express mail, to speed it up, showing them intent to get it approved faster. Yeah, I sent it back the same day I got it in next-day air and everything but apparently they didn't care either way. Just hope we get approved soon, this is getting a little ridiculous. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	The RFE Master List	WE just got an RFE, but it's for something simple... What they are asking for is related to my previous marriage, as I would have guessed. They are asking for more proof that I had changed my name from my maiden name to my ex's when we got married (I haven't switched back). So what they are asking for is: 1. Another copy of my birth certificate. 2. Another copy of my marriage certificate. 3. A copy of my old passport, which was issued in my maiden name. You'd think their system would show that I was issued a new passport in my married name, but I guess not. I could also send copies of my old and new SS cards. Can't hurt! Maybe my birth certificate looks a bit shady to them. You see, the computerized county records where I was born here in NJ were hacked and thousands of identities were stolen a few years ago. So the State of NJ declared all birth certificates ever issued in that county to be invalid. I had to go through the State of NJ to get a "new" birth certificate issued, and it looks much different from other birth certificates in NJ. At the time of applying for k1 visa application we had call records from the bill. But now We both are using Viber (a free calling and chatting app) it is the cheapest way to communicate. Now we talk and chat on viber. So we now dont have any paper bill or so to produce our call details. Rather my phone has the facility to capture screenshots.
